- In memoriam. This 3-minute live "medley", with parts of "Hound dog" and "Blue suede shoes", is a tribute to Elvis´ first drummer D.J. Fontana (1931-2018). Recorded at Roadhouze Record Store in Helsingborg, Sweden 30 November 2005, in front of a small audience of specially invited customers and friends. After a very short rehearsal in the afternoon the "club concert" lasted 25 minutes, with these 9 songs: "That´s alright", "Hound dog", "Heartbreak hotel", "Blue suede shoes", "Teddy bear", "Willy Brown blues", "Cadillac", "Boppin´ the blues" and "Whole lotta shakin´going on". D. J. Fontana plays together with 3 members from the swedish 60´s pop group THE HITTILLS: Nils Runeson, lead vocals and rhythm guitar, Mike Watson, bass, lead vocals and harmonica, Per Åkesson, piano and the stand-in Lars Persson on lead guitar.
This live clip is recorded Nov 2005, but unreleased until Nov 2020.
The audio track is only recorded with one of the camera microphones. - Hudba

Hello from England
ELVIS died 2 days before my 12th birthday. I have been a FAN ever since. OH MY
Having watched lots of videos about ELVIS and his "backstory" they make me think so much more of the years that have passed, even from the start of the live shows in 69 not to mention the 50's
DJ joined Bill and Scotty in 1955 but even then ELVIS had "MADE IT" BIG.
I know DJ died over 3 years ago now but its great to see him playing back in 2005.
I have started to collect vintage ELVIS vinyl albums
Thx for posting this, had the honor & pleasure of performing & traveling with DJ & his lovely wife Karen for several years. DJ was such a cool guy. Miss him!
I seen DJ at the tape theater Cincinnati Ohio had a great time
Absolutely beautiful
Listen and learn all you bangers
Fantástico!
My Mom met him years ago and got me a pair of Autograph Drum sticks, Still have them..
Thanks for posting! What a great drummer!
DJ is right on it! Good band!
Magnífico
Listen to his stinger at the end of Wear my Ring Around Your neck, it's awesome.

Sensacional!
❣💕💔
Like walking past a boozer in the '70's

Tip of the hat to the legends eh? Effortless sensible drumming...
