My favorite channel on CZcams hands down!...I watch your videos over and over and they help put me to sleep at night and really help me cope with the passing of my wife of 14 years!...all your builds and travels and camping help put me at ease!...thank you for everything you do Jason!...Nick from Michigan!
Completely the same here except for the wife part
I'm very sorry for your loss
Same opinion bro
Sorry for your loss g!
You are the first outdoor enthusiast gamer I have ever seen.
I'm sure there more out there :D
@@QuietNerdright here 🙋♂️ but it's super hard getting out as much as I'd like living in the city
@@QuietNerdI actually have a question: Where do you keep your hand-built vehicles?
@@marvelguy2001 he's quite obviously a wizard... Quick spell and things are small enough to fit in yer pocket ; )
there are a lot of outdoor enthusiast gamer people...
I love how he pats everything like they’re his good buddies.
I thought I was the only one! Love watching these videos! (I'm patting my laptop as I type this) Lol
It cracks me up….its like everything he touches is his little puppy. I love it.😂
This guy combines 3 types of youtube videos that I watch: Camping, Tech, and Building!
And cooking too!
Seeing quiet nerd get consistent fat W's and watching him enthusiastically build new vehicles is inspiring. Keep up the positive vibes man.
:D Thanks!
Can't believe your pace for cranking out these vehicles and videos! Keep it up!
I do my best - Cheers!
@@QuietNerdplease build what looks like a 🌛LUNAR module. This will be a four-wheeled vehicle with balloon tires. The sleeping compartment may be as high as 4 ft above ground level. It can be a dome tent or permanent structure with silver bubble wrap or space blankets to insulate. Motors and storage below 😴 sleeping level. Sturdy legs (as seen on mobile cranes, to give more stability)can be moved out at the campsite. Before bed time, tune in Siberia, Poland, Guam or Perth on a shortwave radio. 👍🍜🥬🌶️🫕🍲🥣🥡🍵🍼🧈🍽️🧂🧋🍼🌮
@QuietNerd i relly love all your videos and support you except you should buld a little shack like you did for the others anyway keep the good work up😊
@@QuietNerd will we see you cook a 🥩 steak someday or a steak sandwich 🥪?
Homie is like a cross between Cody's Lab and Blake Anderson. Fun project, nice job.
Sure would have been nice if you would have shared links in the description for all the parts for the build, and your camping gear for all of us gear nerds that would like to do some of the same. Maybe do a follow-up video on all of it ???
This boy must be protected at all costs.
from what?

we need more pov when you are riding the things!
that bonus clip looks so fun
I wonder how fast he went
@@knnysanchez Looked like around 20-25 mph.-pretty impressive for something not really geared to maximize speed.
You are one of the coolest CZcamsrs out there, honestly! Bringing that projector setup would automatically make you the neatest guy on the campsite.
A tip for the tent: if you double up tents, it helps create a layer of warmer air to insulate. This would work great with that giant tent and maybe a slightly smaller one inside it in order to be warmer.
👍 true
Hi, there, my 87-year-old mom and I love your videos. You are extremely intelligent. I was thinking maybe if you put a tarp over the 2 sleds in the back that way things won't get wet or full of dirt. Also, you need a gf to help you remember the little things like syrup for your waffles 😂😂😂. Can't wait to see what you do in the next video. Stay safe❤
Ur 87 years old?!!?!?
no her mom is@@Vetoboy
@Vetoboy her mom is 87
@Vetoboy yes she's 87 years old, and she watches the videos with me.
he is aiming for a gal way south of 87 years old unless she is loaded.
Honorary K.N.D. member! That 2x4 technology is what it's all about!
Haha nice!
Also, you can take one of your empty sleds and invert it on top of your other 1. That way. I'll keep the water if it ever rains or whatever. Keep your seat dry and give you a little more added protection for your stuff
Only suggestion I can give is flatten the tires a bit, it will give them more grip in the snow and soft material since more of the rubber will be in contact with the ground. Unless you are going for high enough speeds it won't cause any problems (High enough speeds will cause the tire to expand but I doubt you'll be going 60mph or more)
Who needs Glamping when you can have Tech-Camping..? Thanks for another outrageously fun episode! 👍
Metal Slug, this guy is a man of culture, and that tent looks amazing, very practical for the size.
Couple tips. Get a compact blower for your tool battery to blow out the tent. Add a cordless shop vac or one of those handheld vacuums to suck up any debris you can not get out with the blower. Keeping the tent clean on the inside will do wonders for its life and durability.
You were having the time of your life driving that thing your smile was so pure! That's awesome man.
I am Italian. When I saw that you took the gnocchi and the ingredients for the pesto out of your backpack I thought "here we go. Let's see how this pesto will be mistreated". and instead you made a real Genoese pesto (with the exception of the parmesan...) without adding cheddar, blue cheese or any other bizarre addition. You can be proud, you succeeded where many have failed miserably...
as a fellow Italian I 100% agree that you can be proud, because you have succeeded where many have failed miserably...
You're living the dream man, that looks like so much fun! Awesome project as always! but man, you gotta put something yellow in the thumbnail to please the algorithm :)
Glad you enjoyed :D Thanks for stopping by! - Cheers!
@@QuietNerdwhat tent is that :-)
"Super easy." "Super simple." He is so kind to think that any of us could do what he does. He is amazing.
I'm giggling. You got that right!
I mean.. You can. This was like an afternoon's worth of work at best.
You can though... No offense to him, but this is seriously incredibly simple work. Now if you expect things to actually work all the time or last...
The prime way to camp! I used to make popcorn in junior high " the old school way" oil in a pan with lid, over a gas stove....just keep shaking the pan...makes awesome popcorn.
I hope you enjoy the video :D!
Definitely always enjoy your videos... Some ppl question why I watch you until they look at your videos themselves 😭 ☺️☺️also can you please let us know the name of the tent that you used ? Some of us liked it alot and wanted to check it out but you didn't have a link for it in your description thank you 😘😘😘 😊
@QuietNerd I was honestly having a bad day and thought "aw man I wish there was a new Quiet Nerd video I could watch.. " I didn't know you released a video yesterday, but it was just in time! ♥️
Thanks for doing what you do, man!
The tent is called " RDS Gear Obsidian " - Cheers!
Hello from Delaware 📸
@@QuietNerd What are you building in your next video?
You do the kind of stuff I think of doing but never do. Big respect to your ingenuity and drive! Really dig your laid-back vibe too, I always relax when I watch your vids. You've made my "people I'd like to have as a next-door neighbor" list!
I would definitely put two coats of mother's gold on the bottom of those sleds
but this is definitely a next level build Bravo.
Propane is wet heat so alot of water was from that little buddy heater. Pretty cool camping trip.
We will forever be wounded that we didn't grow up next door to this guy, cause my gawd life long best friend material by a fucking mile.
You’ve gotta be an engineer or an engineering student. Super creative!
As an upgrade for your train, you could add some covers to the other 2 sleds. My recommendation is to use 2 additional sleds as covers that can be secured down or detach when you want to pull passengers with you.
Dude, you are the Bob Ross of engineering DIY content… love the by-line “Now I’m going to take this nice little [insert gizmo]…” ASMR for engineers!
At about half way through the video I was thinking how much like Bob Ross his narraration reminded me of. But I couldn't remember the painter dude's name until I seen your comment. I see I'm not the only one to get that "painter dude" vibe from this guy. Lol ✌️
The Fifth Element is one of the best sci-fi movies ever made. 👍
Hey I met you IRL and you showed me pics of this build in progress... Cool to see the final product!
I'm glad you enjoyed :D - Cheers!
33:13 Glad to see you are also a Metal Slug enjoyer!
A solar panel on top of the battery box would've been cool.
I like it!
I wanna hear you sing a weird al song😂😂
The screws that hold the gray control box down need large washers under the heads so that the screws will be far less likely to pull through. A basic rule of thumb when screwing down plastic. That plastic will become brittle when cold. Neat idea, by the way. The ropes on the tent are guy ropes, very important. The farther they are staked from the tent, the better. IE, keep the ropes as long as possible. The stakes are less likely to pull out that way. Also, always stake down the corners at the bottom where the floor and walls meet.
Should have made a small cab to block the weather. Sweet build though! Also a removable swivel wheel in the front for dry weather use would be sweet
The secret to campfire pies is butter and cinnamon-sugar....
I just had a revolutionary idea! If you add two more wheel in the front, it could drive on all types of terrain and not just snow. It think I will call it an ATV.
Not sure how buoyant it would be with the battery and wheels.
Bro is a genius with building stuff
I love how you enjoy the little things & you’re appreciative of everything, never stop being you
My Man keeping the screw economy up😂
I like how you keep yourself fed and entertained! 😊
Damn, if I link together 2 or 3 of these tents it’s better than my apartment😂
Dude, this video brought me with you. Thank you for sharing.
You should build the drive sled with tracks. Nice build though.
we watched every videos that you upload and we are happy, and that invention that you made it really inspire us to create invention like this. Its really creative
With all the weight, the floor of the drive sled is going to wear through. A few "sacrificial" strips on the bottom would lengthen its useful life.
Id love to see those larger wheels on the camper. Excellent video.
Love the concept. The only things I'd have done differently instead of wheels tracked would be better and rear fenders.
Awesome build, kinda makes me want to move north. But I can’t help but think that you should have added a 2x4 on the inside of the sled where you mounted the motors to sandwich the sled for added strength.
I swear, your local Lowe's loves you.
you are the man! The speed run at the end was a nice bonus
A wind generator is the only thing I would have LOVED to see just how much it added back to your battery with it blowing so hard.
Hello from Arkansas! My whole family LOVES your channel. I appreciate your calm, cheerful demeanor; the world needs more folks like you in it❤
I love your videos, they're all so peaceful. Makes me want to go camping!
Appreciate your positive friendly attitude. And it's being an learning experience also.
@QuietNerd you need to come out with a line of merchandise with your builds on them. I’m sure a lot of people would like to buy them.
It’s always a pleasure to see your adventures.
🎶Bolts and holes, bolts and holes, gotta have me my bolts and holes!🎶 Excellent and entertaining video as always!
Just need some fenders.
I think they could be made from 5 gallon plastic buckets.
And a few bits of aluminum angle.
This is what I love about electric propulsion. It's so simple you can slap a battery, throttle, motor controller and motor(s) onto literally anything, and in many cases the entire powertrain is removable and reusable.
The yellow tarp over the sleds would’ve been ideal.
*Fantastic work! Two suggestions:*
*1) Consider adding fenders to the wheels and/or tarping your train sleds to prevent snow and dirt winding up all over your gear.*
*2) Consider adding desiccant packs to your battery and electronics compartments to absorb moisture.*
3) Consider not using untreated wood for the structure,
Another stellar build! Genius idea. Your imagination is off the charts! Well done!
my first knife I ever got from my grandpa was the same one you have over 20 years iv had it! you could swap wheels out for tracks off snowblower and do better for traction plus your battery set up is awesome like this is the shit I would do back in my hometown in Alaska you have a killer setup my dude
Bro has such a calming voice
Absolutely Wonderful Videos!! I love watching your builds come to life!! Boat/Camper/Sled ....All of them are truly unique!! Keep Going! God bless ❤
idk if anyone ever said this to you, but i just wanted to say that your steps/process are very clear and easy to follow
I'd love to see a long format video like this, where you put together something to last you for a whole weekend, or even a week! I'd love to see what you come up with!
Great! It's an electric dog! But it had to be done on caterpillar tracks. Cross-country ability will be better.
Now do a snow board. I wanna be able to drop in down and take off with no problems
Super cozy. Great video man. At the rate you're going you'll be doing this video in some sort of self-built airship over the Atlantic in the year 2035.
that is the face of a man who has achieved true happiness.. love your videos and epic builds. keep up the good work
How fun! Love all your little appliances.....Keep on making videos. (Annandale, Minnesota)
Yawning with glasses on pretty cool 😅❤❤
There's not many youtubers that can keep my attention for 45 minutes, but I really enjoy your videos. Just keep on keepin' on man!
This guy keeps the lumber industry in business
I have been wondering about a 4 axle electric , and you just shared a great idea for an electronic atv train . Thanks ! Great video my friend
Oh, also a small solar generator like a Jackery 300 to run lesser things like your electric blanket, projector, or whatever. Little extra power never hurts.
Impressive rig 😃i enjoy your camping vids as a woodsman my self 😃
Made my night, love you’re vids mr nerd, informative fun and very interesting best regards from Whomper over the pond 😊
A few tips you could actually use:
1. Since it was so windy;maybe install a portable windmill or two, so you can generate power during the night!
2. If you want, put velcrow on the corners and in the middle of a few solar panels, then, put velcrow on the corresponding places of the solar panel on the outside of the tent, got yourself a sun farm.
3. If you don't like the wind but like the view of the windows, on half the windows, put a clear plastic sheet on the fly screen, so you can open the windows and see without freezing.
4. If you'd like, get one more of those sleds and put a small housing abounding like your other mini camper you made, so if you can't get your tent up on time, you don't need to worry.
5. You could (if you would like more speed) put some loose free spinning wheels on the other cargo sleds!
Hope this helps!
Maybe add some steering with skis. But make it interchangeable with wheels for when there isn't snow.
these videos are by far the best on youtube.. i love the whole concept of everything in one big long video. I love watching these
Your propane heater puts out moisture when in use.
I loved all your builds I wish I could do that. You make it look easy.
Hi. I don't know your academic history but you are very clever.😊
Multipass!! Dude you are living the life out there! Keep it up! 😁
Another great video!
That projector is a great idea! I have a 20-man tent (which my godkids dubbed the Nylon House). It has a few nylon sheets that divide the inner space into semi-separate rooms, and they'd make amazing projector screens! Next time I'm forced to use an electrical campsite, I'll be sure to keep this in mind!
If I could make a small suggestion in return: you might consider attaching the "cars" of your train with electrical pull tape, rather than parachute cord. The lighter stuff has a working weight of 1000-1200 lbs (compared to the typical 550 lbs of paracord), at roughly the same material weight. That way, if one of your sleds gets snagged on some brush, a gatepost, etc, you won't snap a line.
Dude you are a genius !!! Base on your design I built mine minor changes like a added skis to the front
Very cool!! Am I the only one that watched 5th element again when he mentioned it? He is right, what a epic movie!
That would be perfect for hunting
I am always amazed at the amount you can eat during these adventures.. You could have brought an electric heater with built in thermostat with that much battery. Always entertaining and great production on the video. Thank you for the content.
So much room for activities!! 😂
Damn lol, you’re becoming the outdoorsmen nerd, love to see it. Keep up the good work! 🎉
I love these builds. Simple, but elegant! So impressive!!!
It's cool but please more of the electric wood thing you made.. Your a genenious looked fun
Bro planked on planks! What a guy 🤝
