When I was engrossed in thoughts in a leisurely mood, thinking about the golden age of Cinema of yesteryears, this had occurred to me suddenly, to my wonder, imagining them as three different incarnations of the Trio in Hindu religion, when Cinema emerged, that too almost at its initial stages. When I wanted to share this with somebody, the first name came to my mind was yours, having seen your comments which are mostly neutral, about the Film Trios. It won't be an exaggeration to state that, In a way, you are rather a rare person among film fans, who enjoyed the performances of all the above three, striking a balance between them alternatively, in right proportion, without any bias. Many a time, I wondered that how you could attain that mindset, a highly desirable one from my perspective, even though I am an ardent fan of Dr.Sivaji Ganesan. But at the same time, right from my childhood, I am also an admirer of the other two too. While I welcome comments highlighting Sivaji's glorious innings, being a Sivaji fan, always I am not in favour of any adverse remarks attempted /made against the other two. One can praise anybody to his/her heart's content, without humiliating others. Now, coming to comparing MGR with Lord Vishnu, Protector, holding the name as Ramachandran, an incarnation of Vishnu, he Ruled our state and hence assumed the position of Protector exercising Diplomacy wisely. Lord Siva is certainly Not a Destroyer, but Boon Giver. Quoting about Sivaji, he too held the name of Lord Siva (who is also called as Aasudoshi and gave Boon to many people Instantly whomsoever approached him for favour. Likewise Sivaji gave Boon and Consent (to Act in film) many instantly, unmindful about any Gratitude from people approached him for favour, thus uplifting them. So, consequently, a lot of Film Producers/Directors/Script Writers and even Singers emerged due the kind gesture of Sivaji. He also acted as verily Lord Siva Himself and brought Him before our eyes ! Lord Brahma's consort Goddess Saraswati is considered as the Sister of Lord Siva. Similarly, People considered Savithri as Sivaji's own Sister, both on Screen and beyond that in real life too. But later On Ganesan Wantonly Avoided Isaimani In His Films For Reasons Best Known To Him. Even The Song"பாட்டும் நானே பாவமும் நானே" Was Originally Recorded Sang With Seergahiar Voice. But Ganesan Refused To Act.Instead He Asked TMS To Sing It. APN Then Requested Seergazhiar To Sing The Song "ஒரு நாள் போதுமா?". But Seerghazhiar Flatly Refused To Oblige To Sing That Song Which, Then Was Sung By Balamurali. Ganesan On Later Day Acted Eeven To The Voice Of Comedy Singers Like S.C. Krishnan
Isaimani Dr.Seergazhi Govindarajan gave voice to Dr.Sivaji Ganesan, in early 1970s too, for Two songs in the film மனிதனும் தெய்வமாகலாம் also (for Temple Priest Kumaraiah role) released in 1974 or so. Also just prior to that, Seergazhiyaar acted with him in Raja Raja Chozhan, in a key role of retrieving Thevaram Palmscripts in the Temple premises, along with the Emperor, which serves as sufficient proof for the cordiallity persisted between them for ever. Sivaji was such a miraculous actor that he could adjust his lip movements, facial expressions and body language suited to any Singer's voice, even though voice of legendary singer TMS suited to him very well. Sivaji was the one and only actor who could attain creditable success even Without a single Song for him. Some movies well received by the audience stand testimony to that. He was the very First Indian actor to get international recognition and honour, exclusively for his Acting prowess. However, in turn, on the other side, Sivaji only was able to give life to songs too, if allotted, by elevating the quality of any song, sang by any singer, as if he only sang that song. Sivaji could act for just BGM, Nadaswaram, Flute, Whistle, Mridangam, etc, etc (apart from giving reaction to Female singer's voice also), by creating the magic as if he is the real performer, which was endorsed by the concerned Singers/Artists themselves. Had he acted playing Clarinet, he could have performed as per legendary musician Ayya (AKC) Natarajan's gestures too amazingly and even might have got adjusted to the scintillating Voice of legendary singer Madurai Somasundaram Ayya too, if any director had opted for such feats by Sivaji and arranged the story/ scenes accordingly. To my knowledge, Seergazhi Ayya was approached for Oru naal Podhumaa only initilly and not for the other song countering Emanatha Bagavathar in that film, but your version is rather surprising ! Isaimani Dr.Seergazhi Govindarajan gave voice to Dr.Sivaji Ganesan, in early 1970s too, for Two songs in the film மனிதனும் தெய்வமாகலாம் also (for Temple Priest Kumaraiah role) released in 1974 or so. Also just prior to that, Seergazhiyaar acted with him in Raja Raja Chozhan, in a key role of retrieving Thevaram Palmscripts in the Temple premises, along with the Emperor, which serves as sufficient proof for the cordiallity persisted between them for ever. Sivaji was such a miraculous actor that he could adjust his lip movements, facial expressions and body language suited to any Singer's voice, even though voice of legendary singer TMS suited to him very well. Sivaji was the one and only actor who could attain creditable success even Without a single Song for him. Some movies well received by the audience stand testimony to that. He was the very First Indian actor to get international recognition and honour, exclusively for his Acting prowess. However, in turn, on the other side, Sivaji only was able to give life to songs too, if allotted, by elevating the quality of any song, sang by any singer, as if he only sang that song. Sivaji could act for just BGM, Nadaswaram, Flute, Whistle, Mridangam, etc, etc (apart from giving reaction to Female singer's voice also), by creating the magic as if he is the real performer, which was endorsed by the concerned Singers/Artists themselves. Had he acted playing Clarinet, he could have performed as per legendary musician Ayya (AKC) Natarajan's gestures too amazingly and even might have got adjusted to the scintillating Voice of legendary singer Madurai Somasundaram Ayya too, if any director had opted for such feats by Sivaji and arranged the story/ scenes accordingly. To my knowledge, Seergazhi Ayya was approached for Oru naal Podhumaa only initilly and not for the other song countering Emanatha Bagavathar in that film, but your version is rather surprising !
