As an Ipswich supporter, I am somewhat surprised that Norwich have gone from being a well run club, with a decent team, to a club seemingly rudderless and heading towards mediocrity.
IF Norwich do not get promoted before the Parachute payments finish, there will need to be a really big reset.
Ipswich had a totally horrible time under Marcus Evans, as Norwich supporters know well, and IF you do not sort yourselves out, that is where you are heading.

How extraordinary that Delia would say that 20% of the Norwich City fans are "whingers", so that is approx 5,000 fans she doesn't like. The supporters that regularly express positive and negative emotions vociferously are generally those in The Barclay (capacity around 6,300) so basically she is writing most of them off. That is an unwise comment.

Connor... what an interviewer! You asked some tough questions and didnt shy away when they started getting a bit defensive. I wasn't particularly impressed by some of their answers, their shock at the idea that some supporters lack confidence in the board is bemusing. Their alienation of the 20% of 'whingers' came across as dismissive of fans concerns, yet they admit they are unhappy with performances too. Bigging up Portsmouth and Ipswich while denegrating your own fans isnt ideal either.
I think they would do better to just say 'I understand why fans are frustrated, we are too. NCFC face unique challenges financially and we have, and will, work tirelessly to get the best results possible for our fans' and then keep their opinions about the 'whingers' to themselves. They could even say 'I know it can be difficult when we are in a poor run of form, but please try to keep supporting the team as best you can as negativity can affect the players and make it even harder to turn poor form around'
It feels to me that they have not just lost their connection with some of the fans but also seem to lack an understanding of the reality that every day people are facing. The cost of living is making life really difficult for the majority of fans who arent wealthy. Paying for tickets/travel to come to a game and watch a dross performance is a real kick to the teeth emotionally and financially.

She should of sold when we went to the prem under Farke the first time. That’s if she truly wanted the club to do well. In this day and age she’s not capable of being a football owner. Doesn’t have the capital. Nor does she have the motivation to run the club properly. Her mindset goes throughout the club. Don’t think she truly realises how far she holds the club back.

@@krisstoney7644 Whether fans are 'alienated' or not by Delia's honest and straightforward personal comments is down to them! Personally, I'm not at all offended or alienated by the views she's expressed here. Why is that? I guess, because I'm seeing the bigger picture, rather than getting caught up in the little details. If you love the football club enough (as Delia herself clearly does) then maybe you shouldn't feel so easily upset and alienated!
Yes, football nowadays is big business, as we all know - but surely, first and foremost, this is still a local sports club, after all - we're all in it together, throughout all its inevitable ups and downs over the years. As I said, I'd much rather have an owner who's able to publicly speak his/her own mind, rather than someone who feels they just have to go through the motions, by telling people what they want to hear.

@@mikefoster5277 it's precisely because most of the fanbase love the club as much, if not more than DS that they are upset by the way the club is currently being run. As paying customers they have every right to express their views and the only way they can do that is by venting their frustrations through voice and protest over what they see as poor management, poor recruitment and most importantly, totally shambolic performances on the pitch. To counter that DS & MWJ currently also have the right to run the club as they see fit and express their views accordingly. However, sometimes it's better to rise above it and not to stir the hornets nest. The comments by DS have certainly done that and I would suggest you are in the minority in suggesting that was a good PR exercise.

@@krisstoney7644 You're obviously not listening Kris. I didn't say Delia's comments were 'a good PR exercise' at all - in fact, I said just the opposite! I said how refreshing it is to have an owner who's prepared to rise above 'good PR', by being honest and straightforward and speaking her own mind. I'm saying, in my opinion, that 'good PR' (in a competitive sports club especially) is robotic and boring, and doesn't really benefit anyone at the end of the day. I'd much rather see openness, honesty and transparency from the directors - in other words, people being real and true to themselves above all else. Which is what we currently have (hopefully!) The running and management of the football club, and player performances on the pitch, is a different subject and discussion altogether - so let's not confuse the two.

This is not a good advert for Delia. She is a true fan who has the clubs best interests at heart. However, the fans make the club and they are not stupid boo boys, they know their football and can see clearly when players are not trying, not good enough or the manager has lost the dressing room and is trying desperately without a structure or system that the players understand. There is always a problem for any club that has tasted success and is now in decline playing wise because the fans have expectations, sometimes unreasonable, but in this case they can almost certainly look back and recognise an opportunity lost, especially when you see what much smaller clubs Brentford, Brighton and Bournemouth have achieved during the same period we failed. My question for Delia. Is the board really qualified to select a quality coach/manager? The selections during Delia’s time have been doubtful with 2 notable successes. That’s not a good ratio and I think that the selection process of future coaching staff should be looked at very closely. Oh and I was at Watford on Tuesday and more than 20% of the fans were asking for Wagner’s head. Don’t lose the fans over this.

That’s just football support in general though isn’t it? Football supporters are largely very fickle people. People should try to understand that these guys have been living NCFC day in, day out for nearly three decades. People in the comments are upset that Delia is on the defensive but how would you feel if you’d given so much to a cause only to hear people shout at you and throw verbal abuse every single week? However, the comments from Delia aren’t very professional and I think she should be more empathic in her responses.
I think it’s time for Michael and Delia to move on and you know what? - They should probably have a stand named after them for all they have done for this football club. What a load of drivel.Delia is two sheets to the wind and her old man dare not say anything different! We'll be debt free in league 2 in a few years then if thats her ambition.

Sounds like Michael and Delia want to sack Wagner but Mark wants to keep him

But what ever they each think, the buck is very much being passed to Ben to make the final decision.

I’ve been a Norwich fan for over 30 years and I have no words for how much I can’t stand this woman. When you publicly say “20% are whingers” that’s your cue to leave. Glad the interviewer asked those questions, they absolutely hated it and really got on the defensive because they know they’ve massively fxxked up.

How can you be so disingenuous to your own fans calling them whingers, you must be so proud of your majority share holders 🫢
