Sylvia: She used to be with me. Unfortunately, She died last year. This is before you were born.
Rune: Oh, I didn't know that.
Sylvia: If Lucy died last year, She is actually your Step Sister.
Rune: Huh, how come She's my Step Sister?
Sylvia: Remember, back in 2015 Me and Lucy was born. You were born in 2018, you know that.
Rune: Yes.
Sylvia: Well, it's glad to meet you. I miss Lucy, now She's your Step Sister now.
Rune: It's glad to meet you too Sylvia. Say, were you born from Afghanistan? Did you say that you were kidnapped and raped by the Taliban?
Sylvia: NO! How would I be raped or even kidnapped from the Taliban from Afghanistan. I'm not even born in Afghanistan! I was born here in the United States!
Rune: Well, I was born in India, in the State called Andhra Pradesh, where Hinduism is practice in India. Also, Hindu People believe that buying a Pet is sacred. If you buy a pet, there going to worship those Pets.

Rune: Right, but I do have friendly Geckos in India. And my Parents migrated to India so I can live for a whole year.
Sylvia: However, did you swim to the Atlantic Ocean, the Pacific Ocean,and swimming to Indian Ocean to arrive in India. Am I right?
Rune: Well yeah, we cross multiple Oceans, and we're very tired, including my Parents.

My leopard gecko lived for 15 years. He lived a good long life for a gecko! Longer than a lot of dogs! I miss having one of the little guys. I was really upset for a long time when mine passed. I'm finally going to get another one soon, I can't wait!

Hey Jennie I made this suggestion on Rune's video and I hope you see my suggestion. The moist hide would do better half on/half off the heat mat. A primarily cold/damp hide could and has caused upper respiratory infections in leopard geckos. Every leopard gecko group/forum I'm a member of suggests this positioning of the moist hide. Anywho I'd love to know where you got Sylvia's moist hide! I think my girl, Nora, would love it versus her tupper ware container lol
PoeticFelony great tip! I was also wondering the same about hers as I'm sure my leopard Gex would probably love it too. He's got a diy cool whip humid hide himself, lol. It was the only one he liked that I could find
SteviiLove lol seems to be a common diy humid hide. That was the only thing she didn't link to! Gah!
you gotta remember to she's in florida, and unless i'm mistaken that room isn't air conditioned. so it's hard to say what the humidity inside that cage is, or if now that she has a thermostat on that heat matt if it's actually even turning on lol

ahh cool good to know, keep the temps and humidity reasonable stable. gotta say though i think i like the exo terra (or even better the atasaki terrariums) better than the custom aquariums ones, they look so bulky with the trim.

Also for the planter with succulents, the best way to keep from over watering or under watering is using a measuring squeeze bottle. I got one and it changed my brown thumb green. 😁

Succulents are easy ! Whenever its time to feed sylvia or clean just take a look at the soil, if its dry give it some water ! I usually water mine every 3 days ! Good luck i think the plants look wonderful!

Wow she went right to exploreing! I really like the way the light comes through the mesh lid, reminds me of dappled light in forests. The more my new baby leo grows the more i think he is going to look like Sylvia when he is older.

I love Sylvia. She's such a character! I'm planning on getting my first leopard gecko at a reptile show next month, and I'm hoping to find one as outgoing as she is. I don't care about morph; I just want a cute little face like hers to come up to the front of the cage and greet me in the evening!
I LOVE these cages!! They look absolutely stunning, the skull on the background is a great finishing touch for Sylvia’s place. Rune’s colors look really strong in this video, the black markings on his head are so gorgeous. Also I really like your shirt in this video!

Your geckos looked so adorable, it inspired me to get some myself! My first reptiles. I rescued a boy and a girl (named them Fitz and Simmons). The girl has the biggest personality of the two for sure.

I too have a pair of leo's,the boy is named Lucky and the girl is named Lucy and they are 5yrs old and they will only eat from my hand because they're spoiled and lazy. Good thing you got a herpstat for the UTH's because they can get so hot that the glass can crack,been there done that,lesson learned the hard way as usual for me.LOL

Hey, if you keep the moist hide on the warmer side, the water can evaporate and keep the hide even wetter, but if you do that you should probably add another hide on the cool side xxx

So cool to see, I now have three geckos. I fell in love with them after seeing yours...one is high yellow normal, one is tangerine, and the other is a snow murphy's patternless..saying these are the colors I love so no more, yeah right we'll see..

I think the main reason you don't hear Too Many people talking about thermostats is because it's Overkill they make the mats to where they're not going to get too hot for your gecko the only time it might get too warm is during the summer when the weather changes but if you're that worried about it I would just get a thermometer gun for like 20 bucks on eBay and check it every couple months as the weather changes👌

Looks great! Love seeing nice large enclosures for reptiles for lots of enrichment, too many people think it's unnecessary. I'm gonna add some leaves for my leo, Bree, as well now! I noticed some bubbling under sylvia's arm pits and wanted to give you a heads up that that can mean either she's a little overweight or that she is getting too much calcium and they are calcium deposits.
