Everything is perfect about this customization except the gap below the seat. I feel it looks odd.
You prefer scooters. That’s ok. This is a motorcycle, you ride from behind the engine.
The gap to me , sets it off,,,no weight but the rider... just my preference...
It’s not the gap that bothers, it’s that the gap exposes the tank’s cheap looking pinch-weld.

I think it only looks odd as not many people manage to pull a build off this clean with the battery and electrical hidden so well. I personally think it looks great... very clean and tidy! This thing is pretty bad-ass! Love everything but the pipes - I would have gone a different route there. Other than that this thing is great. I would ride this over most new bikes today. Well done, Gentlemen!

A mono shock system and that bike will look perfect. That gap under the seat yells after a yellow Ölins shock.
I went for the mono shock look with mine (czcams.com/video/QpPIAdjWAoI/video.html), but am wishing I kept the dual shocks and went for more of a traditional cafe racer look now myself... maybe the next build.
I'm not that into naked bikes, but having said that, I would buy that one without a second thought, very well done, I like the look of the bike from every angle you showed us 👍.

I know I'm late, but y'all rolled this little beastie out and I was all, "That's a bad b-tch, bruh! Got damn!" Love the side panel deletes. Gives it really lightweight look and feel, and it does well to take your eyes to the sexy bits, like the seat, the tires, that awesome swapped tank, and that beautifully restored engine.

I modified that model CB in my shop 25 years ago. By modifiying I mean jet kit, super-bike bars, 4/1 exhaust, improved suspension/brakes/tires. That model was a very solid UJM and fun to ride.....I wish I could have done more with engine as and extra 25 HP would have been nice.
Anyway....there was a big prolem fitting the lower bars as they hit the tank badly. I ended up fabricating adjustable steering stops but the turn radius was far less than ideal. Did you fellas have to modify the stops or does that new tank provide the necessary clearance? It's hard to tell by the video.
we modified handlebar stopers. But yes, the turn radius is impacted by that

I had tht exact same black CB750. It had a crazy timing chain noise that was driving me mad. I sold it for a CBR954 which was a much better and actually much safer bike. Then I had kids and its been 10 years without riding now. It is starting to itch again

At 2:17 when comparing the 2 bikes I think the stock tank & stock seat would have also looked really good on the bike. With a custom made cowel to cover the back seat pad.
We waned a perfect staight line. Stock tank will never give this effect

start by watching all episodes 😊😊😊 this could be helpful 😇😇
It kinda is. You need a lot of mechanical skill. And most importantly don't give up. You have to be able to paint, weld, use common tools. Do some electrical wiring and if the bike is not running you need to be able to get it running again

How much travel for the rear suspension? Doesn't look like a lot of room before it hits the seat loop.
most of the shock on the market now have sprign compresion regulation so no case at all. During the project you need to calculate that carefuly
