When I stop doing bullet journaling because I'm lost in the process, I just have to listen one of the many videos from Ryder and I'm instantly back in my bullet journal. This current video is simply a masterpiece. He resume in less than 10 minutes what you can't get from so many self-help books. Thanks again Ryder.

For those who are like me and struggle with labeling their emotions, there’s something called a Feelings Wheel that can help (just google it and it’ll come up). The one my therapist gave me has seven basic emotions in the middle and as you move toward the outer part of the circle, the emotions become more specific so you can pin down what you’re feeling. This has been a tremendous help for me in figuring out what I’m feeling. I keep it in my bed stand so it’s available when I journal or when I meditate.

I downloaded the feelings wheel from The Gottman Institute and refer to it often for better clarity.

Non violent communication (NVC) and BUJO ❤ What a great combination!! I am so happy 😀 to use NVC in a written form.

I love that you go deeper with BuJo, I was feeling hopeless and thought I needed to do all those crazy washi tape full books! I love that you work more with the actual intention rather than the aesthetics of the journal - makes it so much more motivating to journal! 🤍🤍🤍

I do appreciate your short videos, though succinct they are as informative as most 3 hour lectures. Often I use the information (with credits and suggested links) with my groups. Thanks so much for helping me to navigate through some difficult times. May you be well!

I really enjoy your video's. They have inspired me and helped me get back to my journaling.
Learning NVC has been my latest discovery in my personal development path so I'm thrilled to see you combine two of my favourite methods :)

Having very briefly come across NVC in the past, it was interesting to see you raise the ideas here with journalling, along with moving from reacting to responding, which I've heard in the context of Buddhism. While I'm still developing my baseline use of bullet journalling, and can find more than the basic structure to be distracting, I would have enjoyed hearing if you apply journalling in a freeform way for this application, or use a particular style of spread or other structure to help you express yourself in your own practice.

What an excellent tool. Thank you for sharing. Your presentation of this material was also quite good. I'm curious about your use of the phrase "made me feel." A presenter at Marriage Encounter (a marriage retreat I went to) suggested that we try to find a way to communicate our feeling without telling the other person they controlled our feelings by making us feel a certain way. e.g. instead of saying, "when you left the dishes out you made me feel angry" say, "when I saw the dishes were still out, I felt angry." It's a bit nuanced. One way tells the other person they controlled our feelings, the other way takes ownership of our own feelings. They recommend instead of asking the question, "How does that (the thing I observed) make me feel?" that we change the question to, "How do I feel about that?" (HDIFAT for short). What are your thoughts? Thank you, again! I look forward to seeing more from you. Cheers, David

This is so incredibly helpful! I keep sharing it with people who want the “how” to figuring out how to express their feeling or find the way to switch from reactive to responsive. Thank you @Ryder, your ability to articulate the process is unparalleled.

Thanks a lot! This seems to be helpful. And I do understand how it works in close relations like with beloved, family members, friends. What about professional relations, when I communicate a need, but my vis-a-vis did support me to find a solution, and the situation is repeating again and again.

Thank you for this video! I often use my Bujo in a similar way to prepare for therapy sessions-I try to observe what I’m feeling so I can figure out what I need from my next therapy session and communicate it to my therapist. I find it helpful, but also a challenge, and would appreciate any advice or insights you have for using Bujo to help prepare for therapy sessions. How do you figure out what you need from therapy/therapy session? Thank you!

I like the whole idea of Bullet Journaling. theres 2 things that I struggle with - 1, my handwriting is so bad that at times i can’t t read what i write a few days after wrote it & 2, privacy. I feel that someone would find and read what I've been journaling. Any thoughts or Ideas to overcome this? Should i use a digital bullet journal or software? Thanks!🤟

Ryder, my greatest struggle is that I can't get back to my Bullet Journal on time, as the action happends. I log notes spreads and sometimes some plans but it doesn't really help me get the job done in a wat . So how do you stay on course and actually log your life with your digital tools at your fingertip? How do you remind yourself to use it in a more nerodivergent way?
