The idea that this scene was cut from the theatric release of the film blows my mind. Gives weight to Flash’s growth as a character and is one of the greatest comic book moments of this decade. Soundtrack is perfection.

That "BAAARRYYYYYY!!!" just hits different. I want Walter Hamada to step down as President of DC Films so that Ray Fisher can reprise his role as Victor Stone/Cyborg.
It's one of the biggest crimes in cinema that we were robbed of seeing this incredible scene on the big screen.
It breaks my heart. This scene should've stayed in the original release. It is one of the most beautiful scenes In comic book movies. You can feel Snyder put his heart and soul into this. This would've been jaw dropping on the big screen it still brings tears in my eyes now.

It built actual tension, Darkseid showed up and the motherbox exploded, then Flash turning back time with each step was chilling to watch. The dialogue, the theme gave goosebumps!!! So much emotion! How could they butcher something as great as this. And now more heartbreak as Henry Cavill no longer Superman... Zack Snyder truly did make a great, epic Justice League movie. Bring him back.

I love this scene because it really shows you the power of Flash. He was able to turn back time with speed and save Superman and Cyborg. Superman and Cyborg's bodies were completely disintegrated. Showing the pieces of their bodied come back together in slow motion was amazing. Best scene ever.

Honestly Joss Whedon's version left me asking "why the fk does superman need the others", Snyder cut showed how even Superman needs help, and makes the idea of the league more logical
Well, canonically, Superman doesn't need help. He only lets other people help so they don't see him as a monster. He also sees a lot of things as beneath him. I assume that he also sees Lois beneath him quite often, which would also mean he's busy doing... her... and not helping the world at large. ;)

It shows earlier on in Victor's vision that the explosion would be like a planet killer event.
Perhaps not quite a dinosaur meteor level event, but close.
At the very least that would cripple Supes until the sun warmed him again.
The trouble is though, it doesn't actually make sense to do thos - the explosion could very well have wiped out the anti life equation in the process, I doubt after waiting so long that Darkseid would have risked it for a moment.

This line man, damn.
So powerful. It doesn't only relate to time travel, but also to life as well. Your future will eventually become your past. And the only way to change the future is in the present, right now. This line translates well with the characters trauma, trying to rebuild their life after a complicated past (arthur with his origin, diane with her homeland, superman with his death, batman with his past actions, barry with his father and cyborg with the accident).

I'm a Marvel fan and I thought Justice League was terrible, but I gotta hand it to Zack Snyder. This version of the film felt legitimately monumental as a superhero movie.

I am also a big MCU fan but I always thought that DCEU is awesome too usually in a darker tone (less jokes, more actions, and possibly more mature and deeper story) and they have excellent CGI quality which you can see on Man of Steel (god I love that movie..)
I thought BvS was a minor setback and it could be better (Director’s Cut proved it) but then theatrical JL disappointed me and I kinda lose hope for DCEU up until they released the Snyder Cut.
Now I want more DCEU stuffs from Snyder, this movie REALLY amplified the fked up theatrical JL by A LOT and it says how WB is terrible at handling the DCEU movies

- Ezra had zero controversies.
- The whole internet was shocked to see this scene and how it was hidden away from everyone for so long.
- And for a moment, DC was on top.
I enjoyed "The Flash", but not one scene in that movie even came close to being as awesome and heroic as this one. I'm really happy they recognized that this scene happened in the Flash, essentially canonizing the Snyder Cut over Josstice league before the DCEU dies. But I still wish Snyder could've finished all his movies. But for what it's worth, I couldn't be happier we got to see this scene.

Snyder flash passes lightspeed , time reverses (2 times we saw on screen and its more since its not the first time he said) andy flash passed lightspeed , wents on a time machine . Logic doesnt works same for two of them so they cant be the same characters .
Sorry for the term going back in time, it should be reversed, but still they acknowledged it to the flash.

I don’t think they edited it out. Given the change in the plot and sequence for the final fight, it’s likely it was created specifically for the Snyder Cut (along with other reshot scenes). It wouldn’t have fit in the Josstice League.

No, the black suit isn't so much an indication of an increase in power, as it is a charging dock for a dead cell phone. Superman just came back to life, he chose the black suit because the color black attracts the suns rays, and would restore his powers faster. The suit by no means amplifies them, nor is it indirectly indicative of an increase in strength. But the opposite, really, as if he was a full power, he'd have no need for the suit at all.

Still get absolute chills from this. Zack Snyder, the VFX and art dept absolutely pushed their creative limits with this scene and its depressing that we couldnt see this in theaters as the initial Justice League movie with a complete DC franchise. Warner Bros screwed up so badly its criminal.
DCEU could never become a tree because of all those mishaps. Can't compare it with MCU because it's now 30+ movies old. DC couldn't produce as many movies in 6 years as Marvel dropped in last 1.5 years. And still keep dropping them. Although the quality of Marvel too has started to become questionable. DC is going for the revamp root. Let's hope James Gunn brings justice to the brand.

@@Nate-hk2wk no, the Motherboxes rearrange matter on an atomic level. So superman wouldn't, and didn't survive. The only reason why flash survived was because he was vibrating the molecules of his body so fast that he was able to phase through the explosion so it didn't affect him. Also shows how powerful Flash really is.

I like the charisma of Darkseid. Just the way he stands tells you he ain't playing.
He was standing like that because of the ass whopping he took earlier in the movie.
Charisma? Darkseid is a dull and uninspired hackjob of a character to begin with. Not even this version of him can turn this turd into something with charisma.

It’s my opinion too. The closest The Flash movie got me to have an emotional or a reaction at all was when original Barry explodes on younger Barry about not appreciating what he has. But this scene/movie alone motivated me to get my life straight. Been going to the gym since this movie came out and I’m fit as ever.

I love this whole movie so much . I feel like there are scenes that are meant to be love letters to Zack’s daughter. This scene with the Flash, talking to his dad, it gets me misty eyed, I won’t lie. And the part where Cyborg says, “I’m not broken, and I’m not alone…”
As someone who has struggle with severe depression and someone who has come close to ending it all, I feel that in my soul, every time. Just thinking about it and typing it out gets me emotional. Just a beautiful superhero movie. It’s not “fun,” I’m the marvel way, but it is great.
I admire what Barry said towards the end of this scene: “Make your own future. Make your own past. It’s all right now.” There’s just something about the way he said it that made it feel like people can carve their own history however they choose.
Can we just take a moment to appreciate the music by Junkie XL in this scene. An absolute masterpiece!!!

the reason why the flash always puts his hand in front of him while he phases is because he HAS to use the very tip of his fingertips to feel the molecules of whatever he wants to phase through, so that he can quickly adjust the molecule vibration of his whole body to match them, therefore he can phase through. if he uses other part of his body he won't be able to do it quick enough and would damage that part of his body. fingertips are a perfect feelers anyway, hence why his gloves are open fingers.
and yes in the flash movie he's getting better at phasing therefore he doesn't need to put his hand out anymore.

Regardless of what your option is about Ezra’s current predicament, this scene was the best and he nailed the role perfectly
DC is always intriguing because their heroes lose and have to find ways to win which Snyder did amazingly by giving flash the big moment. Just goes to show how little whedon knows about DC and these characters. Why would you ever delete this scene out of the film. Even if Barry was comedic relief this scene was necessary for both Barry’s development but also the entire team.
Darkseid nearly has a sense of honor. He couldve Omega beamed at least one person through the portal, but saw the failure and accepted his short term defeat. Really shows restraint and how calculated Darkseid is
Plus this was the only world he had ever lost, he doesn't want to make the same mistake twice.
I wouldn't say he has Honor. He's as cruel and evil a being get. He's ruthless, sadistic and probably wanted to make them suffer personally, such as destroying their home world, loved ones and psychologically torturing them as much as he can. Hell, he would enslave them if possible, because death would be freeing for them (like he did in Apokolips War). He's not some secretly misunderstood, sympathetic character; he's a truly wicked monster, a devil, a force of nature not to be trifled with.
He doesn't really kills powerful beings unnecessarily, since he can use their bodies for a multitude of things.

It's not a sense of honor. It's his unbridled desire to make these so-called "defenders of Earth," cower in fear of the impending doom that is Darkseid. He is sadistic, manipulative, and desires to make people bow to his whim in the most horrible ways possible. Watching the League fear his arrival probably gave him the most relief he's ever felt in centuries.

Even when I watch a Marvel movie it's because I heard that the movie was good not just because it's from the MCU.
Give the Snyder Cut a chance, even many Marvel fans including myself liked it.

Still in disbelief that WB cut this scene because they didn't "understand" it. Apparently, this was one of the first scenes to be removed the moment Joss took over. Watching it for the first time, I got goosebumps and was in awe of what Barry was accomplishing. I wasn't sure if they would touch time travel in the Snyder Cut but I was so pleasantly surprised when they did it. And not to mention, the score is perfection - it's the song I keep going back to listen to. And I'm so proud that this is the scene that won an Oscar because it is worthy. Congratulations to everyone involved, both in the Snyder Cut movement and those who produced this stunning masterpiece!

Makes me tear up every time I watch it.
In the last few moments, he believed in what his Dad told him, going beyond his limits and gave the JL one more chance to save the world. To us, it showed the hero Barry is destined to be. The last shot of him running through the streets of Central City, arms opened with such a joyous smile. That's my favorite shot of Ezra from the movie. And this one ofc. Dude brought back Superman from the dead TWICE. IN THE SAME MOVIE!

How do you watch this scene and say "Nah, let's cut it."
The Flash is not exactly running or sprinting, he is navigating delicately and controlling the speedforce. Its not actual normal muscle physics that makes him fast, the speed forces messes with spacetime and so he needs to be extremely careful with it.
Which is why he has rules, using it can literally power up a motherbox in a milisecond, revived superman and counters the motherbox here just by touching Cyborg.
People hating this need to understand that Snyder DC movies are full of very detailed science fiction. Just like Superman, he creates and manipulates gravity fields, especially against Earth's.
