Black or White actually inspired by Michael Jackson so that why its have that vibe from song to choreo.
Yes, the entire thing is a tribute to MJ, from the title to the outfits to the choreo, and yes, the guitar riff is almost exactly identical to Beat It, just sped up and with a few extra strums here and there.
Yoohyeon absolutely ate up the choreo for Black or White. also her black outfit is everything.
At this Point Just do a Tree of Language listening Party before the Comeback. Not skipping anything except maybe the Scream instrumental, even though it's super interesting haha
A Live Stream would be fun and then Just Upload a Cut Version of it and all but i guess it's Not that easy to prepare and all in such a short time.

Tree of Language was one of the best albums of 2020. Sahara, Red Sun, and Black or White are from TOL, which you've reacted to. I think that leaves Siyeon's solo song Paradise which is on the album, and there is several music videos for it (regular or piano version). I don't think you've reacted to that. Jazz Bar is another song from TOL, and they did a few performances.
Also you are not ready for Odd Eye lol. I watched the dance teaser today, and it is intense it almost seems like a boy group's song.
the dance preview definitely reminded me of Moonbyuls Eclipse, with the 'boy group' influence. I'm glad kpop is broadening and the styles are becoming less restricting. Dreamcatcher will kill this comeback for sure
@@fae91 since debut DC incorporated mixed of Boy groups x Girl groups in their dances ..even as Minx they do those in their dance covers..
@@rodablones9727 oh I know, I was just adding to the original comment. And I knew Mamamoo before Dreamcatcher, so I saw Eclipse first. But yes, Dreamcatchers choreography has always been something else, and I love it and am impressed by it more and more
Yep as the others already stated, it is a tribute to MJ. And Dami is oooooooozing so much charisma even more than usual. Her verse is so strong and is at the moment her longest rap verse in a group song. She even said as she has to dance at the same time, she has to breath heavily after it ends. 😅

The fact that Jiu, Siyeon, and Dami contributed to the lyrics of this song makes me happy because they're some of the most unapologetic lyrics to a Kpop song I've ever heard!! ^_^

of course, it's a total tribute to mj \:D/ title, choreo, outfits, riffs, everything!
Since this song is generally inspired by Michael Jackson, so yes, you're right, the riff came from MJ's "Beat it" riff, they changed the few first note and put it into different tempo sync. Not just that, it's also the title (which is obviously), some of his signature dance moves, and of course the iconic hat.

I didn't have a choice, my bias choose for me, and straight up told me to stan her or else, during the Piri era. ;) But over time, i was bias wrecked to hard by another one, so they both became part of my JiYoo bias. Dami main bias wrecker.

I'm glad you reacted to this, it's my favourite Dreamcatcher song. It totally feels like an MJ tribute, and I think Dreamcatcher pulled it off perfectly. I can't wait to see what they do for this upcoming comeback, they never seem to disappoint. And for Patreon content I'd definitely recommend their IDOLHOUSE episode. That's become one of my favourite idol variety shows now, I watched DC and LOONA's episodes yesterday and both were really entertaining.
It took me ages to pick my DC bias too btw, and then one day out of the blue it suddenly clicked for me that it was Yoohyeon. Very curious to see who yours will be haha

Yeah, it's a very deliberate MJ homage. Obviously you've got the title (except here they're talking not about racism, but false dichotomies), the Beat It bassline throughout, and _loads_ of nods in the choreo.
You should also check out the _phenomenal_ stage they did of BoW for Music Bank. MB really did them proud with the editing on that version, and DC were _so_ chuffed and grateful to them when they watched it backstage for the first time...

Wow they lost it! This is the first full Dreamcatcher Note I've watched. For some reason I tell myself I'll start from the beginning, but that's probably SO much content.
@@KpopPrince Oh, it's a _lot_ of content. There's probably about four Notes per comeback (one per week of promotions), usually one when they do a Special Clip... and there's a lot more besides. And of course, then there's the vlogs, which they started doing when they got their own official channel... I've been an InSomnia for the best part of three years, and there's still loads for me to catch up on... 😂
