a 100. They cannot write stories like this one today. I have watched this scene quite a lot and whenever it is in my feed, I must watch it again and again........
The writers, actors, director - the whole team- nailed this one 100%. A solid 10/10.

Notting hill is a superb movie. Definitely 1 of my favourite hugh grant movie....
And that song by Ronan Keating 'When you say nothing at all' it still touches your heart even as it used to back then. This song was such a massive hit... Very rightly so!
Those days were so different. It was a different era altogether. Life was so different just 25 years ago!!

The $15 million dollars was originally not in the script. JR changed it to that because that is what her paycheck was for this film.
True 😂 I also enjoyed his patronising 'Oh, well done' when he heard she's in films. Every actor was so incredibly talented and managed to make their role absolutely memorable, and the music was on point. I also miss those times...

I have been many times in every street portrayed in this film. It still evokes in me nostalgic memories about my more than ten-year life in London.
We all watched this movie to get mesmerized by Julia Roberts smile and the handsomeness of High Grant!!
I still believe there can never be a better smile than that of Julia Roberts!!
Her laugh is even better than her smile.

Another great script by Richard Curtis. One of my favorite movies of all time. So charming. Julia Roberts was perfect for this part, and of course Hugh was also perfect.

Honey, Emma Chambers was so allergic which brought on terrible bouts of asthma. She had to be so careful on movie
sets. Unfortunately the allergies are what killed her I believe. 😢😢

Hugh Grant wore pink shirt and Julia Roberts was wearing a blue cardigan so what difference does it make it doesn't really matter does it it's allowed and nothing wrong with that in this movie I was wearing a pink shirt to work every day in my local a bit further away by taking buses people don't saying anything about my pink shirt so stop being an ignorant and be kind thank you!
I like Bernie best. I've never understood all the sycophantic fawning a lot of people do over "celebrities". And Anna didn't have to boast about her millions in that cusey smug manner, either. Not if she "just wants to be liked for who she really is".

I miss Emma Chambers.
Am I the only one who finds Roberts character insufferable? This lovely bunch of funny, sweet people and she is standing there looking affronted. Unfortunately the same thing happened in Four Weddings and a Funeral. She wants a normal life but is a big outraged that someone doesnt know who she is. The Andie McDowell character was equally high status and humourless. There are definately American actresses who can play these roles with lightness and humour but Roberts and McDowell are not two of them, unfortunately. I know the characters are meant to be good open hearted people but they come across as cruel on occasion - possibly because the English characters are close to puppy dogs.
