- Did I mess up paint for my Harley-Davidson FXR? Finally we are making some major steps on the FXR fairing, but still so much work ahead in order to get this FXRT paint ready for the Harley-Davidson FXR. But seeing this is my first round with some primer how bad did I mess it up? #fxr #harleydavidson #restoration

Man that’s turning out nice! The finished product is gonna be awesome! Great job Jay!
Thank you as always Smitty!! Waiting on this super humidity to go away to lay down some paint. I appreciate you watching and the support!
Your hard work is paying off.
Thank you!!
Yup, bringing my bike to you, this is coming along very cool
Let's do it!! I appreciate the support and comment sir! 🤘🤘
Nice part about primer is that you can sand it and fix it as much as you need to.
It's a life saver before dumping the big money into the final, I appreciate you watching 👊
Yeah that high build primer is just amazing, Just got my -83 FXRT up and running this past week, runs Amazing with that 88CI Shovel Stroker
Shovel, stoker, and FXR all in one sounds expensive...I envy that build, so dope!
Get r done, primer is the time to learn, good luck and work hard. We can watch how to fix mistakes on another project. COBAR the bro from Nebraska 😮
Yes sir!!
Nice!
Thank you!
Did you have to use a promoter before you shot your primer?
My man! Awesome you are tackling this yourself, but you need to make your life a little easier by using guide coat before you start sanding, also you can wet sand that primer and you probably won’t run out of paper that way…! I feel like this advice is too late but just throwing it out there. Also don’t hang a fender from above, support it from below inside the fender on a post or rack of some kind. You’re gonna have to back mask and paint the inside separately, you can see how trying to do both kinda screwed up shooting your primer, don’t put yourself through that with base coat!
I appreciate the feedback man, and you are right on about it. I should of used a guide coat. I’ve watch a bunch of Eastwood videos and they preach the stuff. I’m reworking my fender stand, the hanging method did not work lol. Thank you for watching and commenting! 👊🏼
