I get you guys are trying to build a channel/business and want likes/subs and customers but my fear is that the Azores will lose all the charm it possesses. What I loved about the Azores is that it was in its own bubble and not overpriced and still held old world charm... along with people comes price increases, which would be sad to see.

Agreed with this comment. Expats are only concerned about making money. All these businesses and somewhat good intentions will destroy the Azores Islands.
Hello Carlos and Laura. We just spent 4 days in Pico. We absolutely loved it. We went by your house and met your guests. They were very friendly. The house is so amazing. We had watched thro the start of your journey with the renovations. Well worth all your hard work !!!

If/when my laptop and I come some Months every year after I "retire" at the end of next year, I know very well where to come from Ecuador and, I will contact you at some point next year for more.... Right now, I'm almost counting days till my pénsíon hits my account and I can finally get on my one-way flight to the Andes and yes, to be shared with the Azores and off course the holidays in Cabo Verde.. It's like it was, waiting to turn 18 all those years ago and, I almost can't wait!!

Thank you very much for this video. I really enjoy living and working in my new home country Austria 🇦🇹. For about two years now, I have almost always spent my vacation in the Azores. I expressly warn everyone not to set foot on the islands of the Azores and especially the island of Pico! There is a risk of addiction for your future life ...
For me, it just feels like being pulled home. And at some point you have the feeling of becoming a part of it and not being separated from it ...

Carlos, you talk about Azores and then the main land as Portugal. That's wrong, you're separating the two. It's Azores Portugal main land the same. I'm Portuguese also. But I never sperate the two.
I just hope our island's stay as peaceful as it is now. The Azores is a hidden paradise let's keep it that way. Please....
I separate them only as regions, in the same way as we separate provinces and states. My passport only has one name, and it's not Azores. Also! Mainland is a way we describe that it's not an island. Cheers

You say Azores is the last place of peace on this Earth.. you think you’d keep it a secret but you’ve an entire channel to promoting it 😭

Not sure what you are referring too. In over 200 videos we have done, we have never said that the Azores was the last place of peace on earth. I do say that there aren't too many places left like the Azores. Here are a few questions for you: Why do you want to keep it a secret? Aren't you a giving person and want to share nice things with nice people! Why do you have a problem with someone making a living with something they have a passion for? Don't you make a living from something, I hope it's something you really enjoy!! Once in a while we get a few negative viewpoints on ways to look at things, people etc. I guess this is one of them. Just know that this is my home, my family is here, I was born here, It's a very special for me and Laura. If we decide to share it with special people, and make a few dollars along the way, that is nothing wrong with that. Here something on economics; any money we make a portion will go to the Government, which than filters over to the people, the town, village, schools, roads etc etc. Lets keep it positive, this is what we try and share on this channel!
