I got my septum pierced today! The piercer was really professional & quick! It was over before I knew it... No pain or discomfort at all. Just a SMALL quick pinch that's it. My eyes didn't even water. I forget it's pierced until I look in the mirror đđđŸ

I got my septum pierced but needed to hide it, I spoke to my piercer and they were happy to turn it up for me. It really helped in the heeling process as it didnât move or get bumped which would of been painful early on . Now I can flip it up and down without any pain it anything.
I think itâs the best piecing that Iâve had and healed pretty well (compared to my helix)
How long did it take for you to be able to flip it up and down whenever you want?

1. is going towards the tip of your nose - move one ball into the upper space of the nostril, then manoeuvre the other ball into the other nostril
2. The backwards method - push the balls of the septum piercing towards the lower parts of the nostril and push up

Just got my septum pierced today, it was actually really nice. When the needle went through it just felt like a strong pinch and it was over in a second. I would stay if your thinking about getting a septum piercing, do its totally worth it. :]

I've had my septum piercing for over 10 years now and honestly there is nothing bad about having extended time span. It's doing great and I forget I even have it now. Had the same jewelry in the whole time and it still standing great đ I never flip mine up but that's just personal preference as I don't like it hugging my nose.

My dad isnt okey with me about getting a septum. He says that as a physiotherapist no one is going to take me seriously. I dont know what i should do.
@@user-fi7bb1ds3s I wouldn't worry so much honestly. If it becomes an issue at work, you csn always flip it up. But if you're worried just because of your dad's opinion, his opinion on your piercings really shouldn't matter if you're old enough to support yourself and are no longer considered underaged where you live. My entire dad's side called me names for it (my dad's side is HUGE. My grandfather is 1 of 16 kids and then they each had kids sooo) and I didn't let it bother me. It's not like it's hormone therapy to become the opposite gender which can cause damage to the body. It's self expression through piercings which can easily be taken out when you no longer want them đ

@@user-fi7bb1ds3s glad I could help đ piercings are not a bad thing as long as they are not in an area that is too sensitive to bleeding out, like where veins are visible. I've had snake bites, belly button, both rooks, both traguses, both nostrils, 3 lobes on each side and septum. My favorites are septum and traguses. I have my nostril done currently and had the other side done earlier in the year but i took it out for a while. I might redo it again soon. I have enough needles at my supply, lmao. I took all other piercings out to do discomfort or problems with healing properly. Belly button rejected a lot during the healing time so I gave up trying to keep it, a ring fell out one of my lip rings so I took the other out with it since my piercings close up quickly and I don't like it to be uneven and honestly I'm glad I don't have my lips pierced anymore lmao
The most important thing you should know is: That you will definetly look better, now stop overthinking and get that septum!

Got my septum pierced 3weeks ago and I cannot stress how much I love it. Such a great decision, it really does make you feel more confident....I love my septum piercing . There are literally no cons to it

great video, very informative! just a note, i know it's not the point at all, but you mentioned you shouldn't be piercing with a gun anywhere except your lobes. I would just like to add, you shouldn't be getting those with a gun either. Forget piercing guns forever. They:
-damage your ear way more than a needle
-make your piercing heal longer
-create more scarring
-hurt more
-because of the scarring it will be more difficult stretching your ear later on
-are less sanitary
That is because it slams a blunt object into your ear, creates spiderweb-shaped damaging and so much more. Imagine trying to poke a hole on a leaf with a needle vs hitting it with a pebble, that's the difference. Please find a piercer who uses only needles, for your own safety.
Yeah plus if you get your lobes pierced w a gun you wing be able to stretch your ear later if u want
I got my lobes done with a gun and I totally regret it. I got it done at Clairâs. Noting to self that I donât want to go to Clairâs for a piercing again! I wanna get my septum done at some point though, Iâm excited for that :]

I got a septum piercing recently on 31st August from a tattoo studio and trust me it was one of the best decision of my life. Septum piercing is painless tbvh. I feel very happy and optimistic after getting this done. Those who says it's very painful, from my experience I'm telling you it's painless and it's gonna be worth it. Be fearless n just go for it.

I got my septum pierced last week (unplannedđ€Ł) & I was scared as shit ! BUUTT I got it & now I love it !!! The piercer was GREAT , very calm with me ; he told me only the clamp part will hurt and I must say I def agree ! The clamp was the most uncomfortable out of the whole piercing ! To be honest I didnât even know he had already put the needle through, I didnât feel it ! Soo yess If youâre wanting an septum piercing DO IT !! đđđ
Don't use cotton pads, it can easily stick to the septum and tear/move it around. Painful.
If you clean your nose, be careful and gentle, it can cause damage if you're not careful enough :")

Love this video! I just got mine pierced on Monday so I've had it for roughly a week, everyone told me it would hurt like hell but I didn't feel anything at all, I also have a piercing addiction and a high pain tolerance though đ
But anyways, it's allergy season rn and you can't blow your nose while it's healing (at least I can't) I was told to use a Q-tip and just roll it in your nostrils to get everything out, it works so well and I wanted to share that with everyone đ
I have trouble with my sinuses and have to blow my nose often so thatâs the only downside but I will be doing this ha ha!

I had my septum done last week and for me it was horribly painful, but nevertheless the pain went from severe to mild quickly, I even shed some tears from the pain I felt... but at least I am thrilled with it, I have no regrets.
you probably got it done in the wrong spot, it hurts a lot if you got it through the cartilage which is the WRONG spot
SO a few years into having my septum pierced. The only issue I have is when I do get sick, I forget I have it sometimes and when I go to wipe my nose I almost rip it out sometimes... Other than that its been the easiest piercing I've had, minus the hard pieces that dry up when its healing... that will feel like glass in your nose. xD
4-5 months is more than enough to regularly change up your jewelry. thereâs not a lot of healing to be done with a septum piercing. all of the other tips are perfect please follow what she says!

You really should only use 1/4 of salt mixed with hot water because if you use too much it can do more damage than good.

My body never gives me issues with piercings and I'm so happy about it! I started changing my jewelry every few days to weeks at around 3-4 months and though it got irritated for like two hours after in the beginning, nothing really happened. Mystery materials too, haha. I don't think anyone should really do that, but I'd just say, experiment on your own when you feel like it's healing well enough and you've had other piercings before? Idk, but I feel like sometimes the 1-2 years are a bit overkill, my septum healed "fully" in about half a year, meaning that was when I could change it without any irritation.
Edit: Also, mine healed super well. My right second earlobe gave me way more trouble and to this day idk why

I got mine pierced at a 16g back in 2011 when I was 15 and was the only one I really knew with it. I stretched mine to 14g and it fits me more than the 16g rings did. Now at 26, I feel like everyone has their septum pierced, lmao.
Just a warning though, if you get it pierced and take it out for an extended time, it might start hurting like if you had just gotten it pierced. I took mine out for a few months as a test and let me just say it HURT. I put it back in because of the discomfort it was causing. I had more congestion after I took it out and before I put it back in too.

you can literally just buy some saline spray and spray that up there once, no more than twice a day. over hydration is bad for it, will get infected that way

Your piercer may pierce you with a bigger horseshoe for healing purposes which will make it harder/unable to flip up
Just ask your piercer about flipping it up right away if it is a concern

Pierced mine while I had the flu. Had it for a week now. It only hurt a lot the first day, after that the swelling was only where the peircing was.
BTW I peirced mine myself with a 16 gadge needle.

I got mine done at like 1am, my friend did it lol. I have low pain tolerance, so it hurt alot for me. Although it was quick it hurt. I almost passed out lol. But it hurt less than my regular nose piercing.

I got my piercing done November 25th (Friday) and itâs now the 27th (Sunday) I noticed I had some dried blood and ever since the, when I cleaned it and it would accidentally move (like tilt to one side or the other) it would sting so much to the point I nearly cried (for reference didnât cry while doing my septum AND my industrial in the same day). It felt crusty today and grazing the tip of my nose hurts. My other piercings have always healed very well so I donât know why it stings so much when I move it. My jewelry is of good quality, I got the cleaning thing from the tattoo shop and it works for my industrial and doesnât sting at all

been wanting to get my septum pierced for a couple of months now, but was always afraid that they would pierce it through the cartilage or that i wouldnât have a sweet spot at all. None the less i finally booked my appointment, iâm still a bit uneasy about it but i have a lot of hope in this piercer as they were recommended by a friend! @@123Chloeo i got mine done a little over a week ago and it went great! my piercer explained the whole process without me having to even ask, i also told her that i was uneasy about needles so she hid it from me the entire time. Cleaning it has been super simple as i just use unscented soap and rinse it out by blowing bubbles in lukewarm water (my piercer didnât tell me to use salt water and i didnât want to anyway as i was afraid it would dry out my skin), 10/10 would recommend this piercing if your thinking about getting it and let me know how your appointment goes!
@@lovetye I got it done earlier! That's such a good idea about blowing bubbles, will definitely try that later. I got my helix and rook done in my ear too and honestly the helix hurt the most out of everything (including conch and industrial). He showed me where he was gonna pierce it and it was pretty pain free to be honest, he just had a lot of difficulty putting the piece in because my nostrils are quite small so I had to sit there flaring them at him until he was done đ It looks SO cute and idk why I've waited so long to get one

realistically, there's nothing you need to know. They fully heal in around 2 months and you can change the jewelry sooner as long as it's clean and you wear gloves

When I got mine done I was told to wait 2 months before I change it out, not years? I just changed it out and it was easy.
Omg please donât dump âa bunch of saltâ into water đđ Saline solution has a specific salt concentration, use 1 cup of water with 1/2 tsp of salt. Any more than that youâre going to irritate the piercing, any less than that it wonât do anything. Do NOT just use a random amount of salt, especially for a piercing which is considered an open wound!!
