    Thank you, thank you, thank you. I puzzled over this lock for an hour before I watched your video. Thank you also for titling your video "Sargent Brass Mid Century Door Knob" so I could find it. The hole in the collar is the key piece of misdirection in the design of the knob.

    Haven't tried it yet, but this seems very similar to a knob we've been trying to replace at the church. Will give it a try later, thanks!

    Nice video. Usually on the old Sargents, you gotta rotate the knob on the keyhole side to where you can see that wire through the hole in the body to depress it. It’s probably why you didn’t see it on the other knob. Thanks for sharing🙏🏼✌🏼
