    I agree with you, it's a much best way to have better accuracy, a lot of other people still do it the other way, after I asked them to try it like this they never went back to how they used to do it. Awesome info brother, it was nice of you to put out this info to show others the right way to do it. Great job. đŸ‡șđŸ‡ČđŸ€™đŸŒ

    I used to load the gun like this, though now I caught the band's at different length to match the same band percentage at 320%. this depends on the type of rubber you are using though as each brand make their bands different, I mainly buy mines from spearit through Amazon best bands for me, other bands I love and use are rob allen and riffe gorilla bands. Anyway I put the lower band on the closest fin or notch, and farthest band to farthest fin or notch, like how you used to do it, just with different length band for equal stretch

    What I'm after is a system or strategy of putting the spear in and managing the cable. The rubber part is easy. When I try to do they first part, my spear doesn't stay in the track, it's often up side down and then the cable management is a nightmare. All of this, whilst trying to stay in one spot in the water and not suck in water. Any possibility you could do a video on that?

    also band life should be recommended to swap out at 6mo if heavy use, for optimal performance. however I am tight and these bands can last a few years with care and still hold great performance

    So do you cut your bands the same length or do you give it the 1" difference? Right now I have a 50" Amero with Salvimar acid greens at 27 and 26". I find that cutting your bands too short really doesn't do much good. I prefer a gentler accurate shot rather than a rob allen recoil beast lol.

    • @FishandDiveHawaii
      @FishandDiveHawaii  Pƙed 5 lety

      The bands I have on this gun now came included with the gun as Hammerheads pre packed bands. I forget the length, but I know for sure they're 9/16. I say the 1" difference shouldn't be that bad. Especially if you're going for a smooth gun. Only concern would be underpowering your gun. But that's better than having short bands and overpowering it

    still confused. You use terms like "First One" and "Top One" and those may mean the SAME thing. Is the "FIRST ONE" the 'sharkfin' Closest to YOU, the shooter, or closest to the end of the gun AS YOU ARE pulling the band ie: the First One you reach as you stretch/pull? Top One sounds like it means the one closest to the speargun top. but then it would mean the same as "First One"? Sorry. Bit vague to me, and the video isn't clear on that either. Very interesting and would like to pass on the knowledge to our local spearos. Good work.

    I will respectfully disagree with you. Its really a matter of personal preference how the bands are loaded. Actually the original way you were loading IS the normal and preferred way. Check your band length, they are way long :)

    • @FishandDiveHawaii
      @FishandDiveHawaii  Pƙed 5 lety +1

      Thanks for your insight brotha đŸ€™I just think its safer also since you dont have to overlay the furthest band over the shorter one if you know what I mean, I'm sure it doesn't make a huge difference though. And yes, I'm replacing my bands for new colors anyways. But I still manage to kill fish with this length 🙏
