I live in NY and I told someone today that I found out who lives in Houston that im going out there in December to see Jerry Flowers live at a Sunday session. After I said it I realized I sounded like I was going to a concert!! I can see the change in me ever since God spoke directly to me in early May

Yes. That is why it is imperative that we choose to let go of itchy ears and receive the individuals that God send our way to feed us the meat. A lot of people don't want the meat because it actually requires them to change and to examine themselves.
To add another point to the instrument analogy - there are different levels of the same instrument.
You can’t play the hardest songs with beginner instruments. They don’t have enough keys, strings, the right reed size, etc.
The more advance an instrument is the more a skilled musician can play(use) it! 🤗❤️
Yep. And you can’t expect to just be able to walk up and play something or be able to jump in and play something or lead a worship service at the last minute or perform a song if you haven’t taken the time to be ready “ in and out of season”.
This is something the Holy Spirit challenged me with last summer. So I started practicing my music more and more. Then an opportunity arose in my church…. At least I thought it was.
Then the church family fell apart .
The group of us left meeting together, asked if I would be willing to lead worship.
I was honored and so glad God has challenged me to worship Him at home with my musical talents many months before. If I had not listened, I would not have been ready to serve others in their needs.
This is true of any skill or talent … natural talent will get you pretty far and even mediocre talent with some practice.
Perfecting a skill or talent to the point where it is no longer necessary to work hard at it or practice a lot in order to use such talent or skill is really the best place to be, and takes many, many years and lots of hours practicing before you reach that level.
Manny quit once it gets hard …. I almost quit in college. I’m so glad I didn’t…. I know God will use it to whatever capacity He desires and I am completely content to let him do what He wants whatever size church group…. It’s not about them, it’s about bringing honor and glory to Christ, our Lord and our Heavenly father…

I liked the analogy with the street signal lights, and being an error with what they are saying…
It brought to mind that when we disobey God and make an error or mistake or sin, emotional, social or spiritual accidents like that- just like car accidents- when we are in error, it can also hurt other people. That hurt can cause ramifications of pain, loss and sorrow with lifelong effects that we didn’t expect.
When we don’t follow God and his precepts… we can leave a wake of ruin in our paths.
We must try our best to pay attention to God and focus on His truth. We should correct errors when they are small before they become larger and wreak havoc on those that did not deserve it nor saw it coming.
Amen, God for this entire message. This is true life messaging. Mold me God! You’ve created us in the righteousness of your wisdom, joy, and love. May we all continue to be molded into a kingdom community.
