It is not necessary that the whole church prays to begin with. Great revivals always begin first in the hearts of a few men and women whom God arouses by His Spirit to believe in Him as a living God, as a God who answers prayer, and upon whose heart He lays a burden from which no rest can be found except in persistent crying unto God. May God use this book to inspire many who are currently prayerless, or nearly so, to pray earnestly. May God stir up your own heart to be one of those burdened to pray, and to pray until God answers.

Well, I think you're right that God doesn't kill us the moment we stop praising him. Still, or something wrong if we don't worship him in our heart all times. I can't remember ever reading in scripture that he praises us (in the sense that it is all about us), unless we lived a life for him and we are praised at the end...
The simple, beautiful, and life-essential doctrine of prayer is so needed right now. Not only is the world dying, but the church has forgotten to rely on Jesus for everything.
Philippians 4:6 KJV - Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

Regarding worry, I'd like to remind you to not be anxious about anything, but to present all your situations to the Lord, and trust Him with everything (Philippians 4:6-7). It is a sin not to trust God, and that is perhaps the first part of the spiritual battle.

Ever heard of coincidences? Have you wondered why amputees pray, and have faith, and their limbs never grow back? Why is your faith better than that of a mother with a child with cerebral palsy? She prays, and has lots of faith, and her son still has cerebral palsy.
If faith helps some, and not others, is it really effective? What was your experience like? Did you pray for something you could get otherwise? How can you measure faith? What kind of faith gets prayers answered? Since your payers are answered, have you prayed for world peace, or an end to disease and hunger? If you have, why haven't those prayers been answered? Religion has caused you to think you're special and deserve special treatment from god. Your reply is, basically:
"I got mine. Try harder, bub".
You got lucky. Coin toss. Coincidence plus self-centeredness. Cognitive bias.

Sometimes grace to go through a situation is better than having the problem taken away. But coincidence? No, I'd be a fool to think that. @@MikeTMike Well, I think the evidence for a creator is all around us, isn't it? But these "arguments" go nowhere in the long run. I know God is real, and that His son Jesus Christ really was on earth, lived, died, and rose again for our justification. But, if you don't believe that, there is precious little I can do to convince you. One would think all the evil around us, and all the movies and games that incorporate demons and witches would also demonstrate that there really is a devil, but not everyone can see this, apparently.

I was watching the interview with Caviezel and Ballard and quickly was creeped out by the whole thing. I specialized in communicating with severly autistic young people, body language, tone, eye movement, stems, etc... both of these dudes are off. At one time, I had a vibrant relationship with God, but now He seems very far away no matter what I do or how sincere I am. My heart feels cold. I know a lot of that may be my own doing but isn't it God who must breath the life in me? Man cannot have a devotion for God without the Spirit first doing the work in man.
Well, maybe. Yet, it doesn't seem right to blame God, does it? _All that the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never cast out._ He won't cast you out if you come to Him. You have no other unrepented sin? If the greatest commandment is to love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind, and heart, perhaps that it the sin that needs to be repented of, if you drifted away from Him as you say. But that is not a little thing as you seem to think. It is the greatest commandment. Deal with that, give up all earthly things for His sake, and you may find the peace you are looking for. Hope this helps. It is all I can think of based on the little you shared. I wish the best for you.
I frequently pray to hunger & thirst for God's Word when I get lackadaisical. Then, I find myself falling deeper& deeper in love with God & His Word. Oh what joy fills my soul!

The reader reads too fast, and what verses that are from the Bible that he quotes, and by the time I go to write them down, he is on to the next sentence.

Sin ihorrible, and it often wraps us up in bondage. There can be significant consequences. But I also know of testimony after testimony of terrible sinners who repented and found freedom in Christ. I think a question is, are you willing? If you recognize how evil sin is, that it is opposed to God, and that you would be so willing to renounce it that even if you wouldn't find forgiveness in Christ that, that you would still do it for Christ's sake, then I do not see why Christ wouldn't receive you. But for me, my problem was that I enjoyed sin, and I had to ask the Lord to change my heart, I told him that was willing to be made willing. He gave me a new heart! I still am tempted to sin sometimes, but it's not the same anymore. I love the Lord, and I'm so grateful for his redemption, and aim to love and follow him with my whole heart, mind, so, and strength.

@@mfrmll3786 how do you find peace with God? In my personal bible study this morning, I was reading and John 8. Jesus said, if you continue in my word, you really are my disciples. You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.
He also says in John 8, truly I tell you, everyone who commits sin is a slave of sin. A slave does not remain in the household forever, but a son does remain forever. So if the son sets you free, you really will be free.
The greatest source of peace for me is when I truly follow the Lord Jesus Christ and obey him. Sinful behavior is the worst thing preventing peace. I also love reading the Bible, and get a great sense of peace from the word of God. It is so true that it bathes me with a feeling of peace. I know when I am reading it, and of course applying to my own life, that I am where God wants me to be. Everything else I read and hear is not half as good or half as true. You willing to spend much time in prayer and scripture reading and application. This is of course assuming that you have the forgiveness of the Lord Jesus Christ for your past sins. He will wash away those sins when you place your faith in him, what he has done on the cross.

I understand. The reality is that the KJV is still copyright protected in the U.K., and the version we used is the only one we have complete freedom to use. But, we believe the version we used is a good version, and very accurate.
What Version of the Bible is being used?
I have never heard of God’s word being copyrighted. There’s something really wrong here. Frankly, I’m stunned. Are you saying that you could be sued for copyright infringement? I don’t believe it.
