Usually westerners have the exact opposite idea of Croatia's songs' meaning, it isn't him wanting to leave and change his life, explore the world etc, it's not a coming of age song nor is it's meaning happy in any way. The real meaning is the sad reality of Croatia's youth(and most of the Balkan countries) having to leave home, their town/village and everything and everyone familiar to them, either moving to a bigger city or in many cases to a different country (mostly western Europe) in the hopes of finding a job (Baby Lasagna himself confirmed this and talked about it in interviews). Unemployment rates in the Balkans are at a all time high.
The song is basically a big Balkan "fuck it, we ball", you gotta do what you gotta do

For Finland: The performance is meant to break all rules. Nudity and logos are not allowed on stage and they found a loophole to have both. So literally no rules!
I think you’re the only one sick of European Dance Music but I agree that most of the songs are upbeat but definitely not all EDM. There might be many genres that you are not familiar with.

Honestly, what bothered me most about Azerbaijan was the English song parts, I wish they had done the whole song in their native language

Interesting facts about some songs or singers :
- 🇫🇮 : The Windows95 Logo is blurred because Eurovision don't accept inclusion of brands. It's kinda funny to see the title description "Rules Applied ", where the song is called No Rules! 😅
- 🇪🇪 : Talking about title, Estonia entry have officially the Longest title song in Eurovision history, which is a record. This song is about drugs they don't use but society want to see the opposite. And the instrument is a talharpa, an ancestral Nordic one. (MY FAVORITE SONG !)
- 🇨🇿 : Aikonic lol
- 🇨🇾 : This song was supposed to be the Greek song for last year, but Cyprus take this and... yeah I don't like to.
- 🇭🇷 : This could be the first win for Croatia, because the song is on top right now. It's about young croatians who go out from their countryside to discover the city and his madness.
- 🇧🇪 : At the last minute of the song, the chorus is sang by Eurovision fans ! Musti ask on social media to let them sing a part of this song to include them. Brilliant in my opinion !
- 🇦🇿 : This is the first time Azerbaijani language is sang in Eurovision.
- 🇦🇹 : WE WILL RAVE ! Even if the lyrics are completely flat, i'm rooting for this !
- 🇦🇺 : You can hear some aboriginal text in this song, which includes aboriginal community from Australia. Honestly, I'm quite disappointed because it's not strong as it should be.
- 🇦🇲 : LADANIVA is... French 🇫🇷 ! In fact the singer is a Belarusian who moved to Lille and the musician is french. They represent the Armenian community all over Europe, which is big. And LADA NIVA is also the name of the Russian car you see in the video.
PS : It's quite ironic to see you rooting for Armenia, when you know there are in trouble relationships with Azerbaijan.

If I counted correctly, it's about 12-15 songs that are "dance/edm" music (a few are mixed, so not sure how to count 😂). Which means that more than half of the songs are other genres. With that said, I agree it's still a lot. Very few ballads this year. But it was a long time ago we had so many different types of songs, and sooo many different languages. I think you will see the variety more once you look at the liveshows :)
Every Semi and The Final is broadcasted live on the official Eurovision channel on CZcams! Also I wonder if you would check out the rehearsals for every song. They changed my tier list quite a lot! Loved the video!!
As for Finland, Microsoft have no issues with the logo, as W95 is no longer a trademark, but EBU doesn't allow it, so it is blurred.

Just got reminded of why I like your Eurovision reactions. You are so right, this year there is way too much eurodance and the eurofans have become so toxic.
You're not allowed to say you don't like "Europapa". They come after you, if you dislike "We Will Rave". And if you dare to advocate for your own country's artist they dig up all the dirt, all "probelmatic" lines they've dropped in an interview. Also half of the fandom is harassing artists for not boykotting or calling out Israel. This year I really feel sorry for the contestants, because they have to answer difficult questions and give their opinion on complex geo-politcal things. They are musicians, not politicians.

Where is the original music that every country is supposed to bring? That's what eurovision was made of. This year is insane.
