    In the beginning of this mindbody journey, I tried to just sit still with myself and all the sensations, for a couple of minutes.. it was almost impossible.. I got supernervous, even dizzy.. that’s when I realized how tensed up my body and whole system is.. with baby steps I learned to expand those moments and now I can finally begin with the other calming techniques that exist like meditation, somatic work etc..For me sitting in a chair in my beautiful garden finally feels relaxing..
    I’m gonna continue this calming practices.. until.. I’m recovered and beyond..
    Not with the intention to fix but just for enjoyment..
    Have a lovely Friday Dan and friends ❤

    I’ve definitely noticed that frantic, fast, and intense are my default settings for doing just about anything. Maybe many of us who suffer from TMS are like this. But when I choose to physically slow down-walk slower, wash that dish slower, read slower, move from task to task slower-I start to feel calmer. Fast and intense feed the sensitive alarm system. It makes a lot of sense!

    I believe there is 100s of ways up the mountain when dealing with the nervous system being dysregulated. I would encourage everyone to try them all, keep what feels good and continue to try new things. you’ll begin to create your own tailored routines. I’ve found dry brushing and laying on a Shakti spike mat has had a big impact on me. Cold showers as well. I tried things like travel and vacation but found it was just more stressful to plan while others it was the main key, keep an open mind, God Bless.

    My symptoms have made me feel so anxious, the aching and pressure inside the temples. I rush to get done anything i do because it often is overwhelming. Rushing has been a strong tendency, increasing the feeling of "emergency " and stress! When i deliberately slow down, I'm so programmed in this frenetic pace, it can be hard to change it, but I'm practicing. It has an immediate effect. It feels kinder, more gentle. Soothing. For me, this is an important video. Thanks Dan. You are bang on.🎉😊

I practice meditation to connect with my true self, my original nature which is pure unconditional love, peace & calm...a spaciousness that can observe & witness everything from a detached compassionate perspective. This, Pranayama breathing & being with nature connects up to the innate calmness within...but for me it is still a practice & the road is certainly non-linear!! We all find what feels right for us. All the suggestions can be helpfull for someone. Meditation as well.... As part of Vipassana meditation I started to understand that equanimity is of utmost important to deal with the vicissitudes of life. Of course many times intellectual understanding, especially when pain comes together with agitation , my greatest enemy I guess. But even slightly realizing this and understanding I'm trapped in this, it helps me to overcome the extreme pain and think about your explanations of the mind-body relations. Somehow I realize that I am reacting in a conditioned way. Thank you Dan, you're very kind, generous person. It helps me so much...with trial and error.

    Stephen Porges who teaches the polyvagal theory said that the tone (verbrosity) of our voices and certain kinds of music soothes the nervous system down. It's like soothing a crying baby, the mother sings lullabies to them to quieten them. Also having a good community of people in our lives helps as well. Like the song Glen Campbell sang. "You've got to try a little kindness, Yes, show a little kindness. Shine your light for everyone to see." When we start being kind to ourselves first, then we find it easier to be kind to others. Slowing everything down has made a huge difference in my life. It's easier to smile every day when you feel light-hearted.

    @allthetopbananas4232 Před 29 dny +2

    Mindfulness is key as you’re able to relax and think clearly. Finding the underlying causes of a perceived danger behaviour can be confusing and difficult to track, but once you’ve identified where it’s coming from you realise it’s not that important and dangerous. -A lot of people experience this kind of behaviour somewhere in time whereby panics occurred. The brain was overwhelmed by something that was out of the ordinary associated with fear- in the basis of awareness that, such a distraction actually happened, whether or not you are forced to do something for your own survival without a choice, associated with doubt in fear of bad consequences. After all it’s just a perception.. Until the brain realised you’re still here standing, and you are safe, then there’s healing. What remains is just the habit of an outdated brain responses to a certain memory constantly produces the false alarms that can be fixed.

    Is sinusitis tms?

    • @SusieV59
      @SusieV59 Před 29 dny

      I believe it is. We hold a lot of tension in our sinuses. We are unaware of this. It's just perceived danger. Reassuring ourselves that we are good and learning to relax and slow down sends safety messages to our brains.

      I had chronic sinusitis which eventually snowballed into atypical face pain. I have a huge bunch of other symptoms too. So I think sinusitis is tms a lot of sinusitis isn’t bacterial

      @@rachelk5272 Most people who feel threatened by something or someone tenses up somewhere in their bodies, and this sends messages to the brain that they are in danger. We hold tightly to the stories we tell ourselves in our minds about these threats and find it hard to let go of them. And our bodies hold onto tension in it also. When we pay less attention to these thoughts (stories) the pain, and other symptoms subside for awhile until we start to put our attention back on to these thoughts again. Most of us are unaware we are doing this. So Yes what you described is TMS/PDP. Dan said watching his fast start play list and take notes because you will recognise the truth (accurate knowledge) he teaches. I hope this helps. I have been through all of this myself and I have recovered from it. It takes time. I believe you can also.

      Mine started after COVID infection, 2.5 years ago! Assumed my immune system had ramped up. Am now sure it's tms after finishing three weeks of antibiotics for "ear" Infection (supposedly). Allergies were only one month of tree pollen back three years ago
