I wish you would do a video about your planning stage. How you think of the look and the execution of the build. Your results, your resources, your knowledge - all top notch. Clearly your planning would be too!
Dusty I always love when one of your videos comes out you Sir are a true artist and Master Craftsman so amazing watching you work how easy you make it look. You are so inspiring to me to do better as a new woodworker with limited experience and knowledge and tools but I’m hoping that someday I’ll be just a little bit as good as you are. Thanks for sharing your talent with us all
The Wood Whisperer with a thousand toys has done it again! Another beautifully crafted work of art. It's always a pleasure watching your perfection at work
I have no idea how to properly describe your skill level. Professional would be an insult. Superb, excellent and extraordinary all fall short. I'm just grateful that I found your channel and get to witness greatness and even that word falls short.
So I have a question about technique or method. When ripping a sheet of Plywood (4'x8') in half so to obtain near 24" halves, if I pencil my mark at 24", I assume that by putting the blades on dead center of the pencil line, I'll get 2 halves but they will only measure 23-15/16" wide. Given that the saw blade is 1/8" thick. Is that correct, Dusty? I'm making drawer bottoms for my workshop...Done with Worm Drive Saw and a straight edge, no table saw.....
All that amazing joinery that no one will ever see. I get it though. The actual video is the point of building a bed with joinery no one will see when there is a matress on top. Also, I know that is a substantial, heavy bed, so I guess you've already thought about the spacing for the legs. Seems like a wider stance would make the bed a lot more stable, but I guess with just the sheer size and mass of the bed, it will probably be fine.
It's both. The only want I can see is that I would love to see it flat pack better for relocation, but this is nearly the best I could think of. The beauty surely outweighs the rigidity of so many glued parts being stuck in that config.
People can say you do all of this good work because of the tools at your disposal. I see God gave you a gift. You make those tools work your vision. Phenomenal!!!
How many ways are there to complete build? Dusty has that covered! I think I'll go take a hardwood pallet apart and make something. You always inspire, brother 👊
This was a very educational video. Does Festools give you a cost break on their tools? Each time you brought one out all I saw was $$$. Thanks so much for posting this video.
Dusty, could you build the thin stringers used in aitcraft longerons, wing ribs, diagonal braces in those ribs, The key is the selection if high strength flexible material like spruce and the epoxy glue. the most important part is the precise location of the retention pegs. Your imagination and precise work is unequaled. For several reasons non- metallic structutes (stealth) are opening low cost aircraft apps.
Your videos are part of my 2.5 yr old son bed time. He loves to watch them and snuggle. He normally makes it through a few shorts and one video before he’s asleep. Thank you for more than showing your art work while allowing us to bond.
Dusty you have lots of skills but I think measurement and marking out accurately are your best as otherwise none of what you do would work out as it does.
Truly amazing craftsmanship!!! I can watch this man all day long!!! I don’t know of anyone better!!!
I appreciate that !!
Dusty, you're not a carpenter, you're an artist. I look forward to all of your videos
exactly
That means a lot thank you
Youre the best festool commercial ever!
👍
Ha ha my thoughts exactly.. And those tools are way too clean to have been used previously
I wish you would do a video about your planning stage. How you think of the look and the execution of the build.

Perhaps one day
Really like the use of the router and tracksaw making tenons. Also use of so many jigs. Love your work and videos. - Chris
Thanks very much 👏👏

I'm totally agree that Dusty is an artist and he knows very well the magnifique equipment Festool he has in his shop
Thank you
Beautiful build. I was really surprised at 6:31 that you don't have a special tool to do those square holes 😁
The Wood Whisperer with a thousand toys has done it again! Another beautifully crafted work of art. It's always a pleasure watching your perfection at work
WHEW!!! THAT ... was a lot of work! Amazing joinery, Dusty. I think you ran the full technique gamut with this build! 👏👏👏
Thank you! Cheers!
Dusty's woodwork is on another plane. It just blows the mind.
I liked watching your video awesome skill and tools 😮

Man I love the way you build the furniture I almost want to ask you for a opportunity to work for you!!
Thank you Sorry I am not hiring
You are one of the best carpenteria in the World !
Watching this while waiting for my bed to be wheeled out from the warehouse at IKEA.
From a carpenter joiner thats some unbelievable skill & creativity
Great video. I did not know that you could get connectors like that for use with the domino cutouts! That'll come in handy.
Cheers, and great work!
Thanks!! It was an awesome experience
You are the greatest ,i like your work absolutly, Andy (Germany) 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Amazing work and amazing tools , buddy
The blocks he uses for clamping are far nicer than anything I have ever used... Or made. Beautiful work!
😁👏
I'm a metal worker by trade, this channel makes me 😁
No one makes adverts like you do. And that bed is seriously bomb proof!
Yes! This isn't just a bedframe, it's also a tornado shelter AND, it's bombproof!
Thanks!
🤣
I Love this kind of work..❤❤ and those chisels... Woah! 🤯 Hehe😊 fantastic work
All very well and a nice job.
However, totally OTT for a bed frame.
It’s like building a nuclear shelter to keep your push bike in.
Every project should allow you to use every single tool in your shop!😂
All the nice sharp router bit cuts make this thing pop so well! Amazing work my dude
I appreciate that!!
Good stuff! Reminds me of Master carpenter Norm Abrams and New Yankee Workshop!
ABSOLUTELY
SPECTACULAR!
☮️💜🪚
Você é muito bom.
Por favor, posta mais vídeos mais longos como este.
Adoro ver seus trabalhos.
Grande abraço.
This is a show about all the tools I'll never own 😔
That was awesome man, love it. Would've looked nice varnished. One day I will buy all those festool tools & have a workshop & build some cool stuff 👌
هذا فنان من الطراز الرفيع ...تحياتي من المغرب
It's really incredible, I learned a lot from him and from a product that encouraged and taught me, if you want, just ask
Дасти, ты просто бог! Супер мастер!
Мастер! Золотые руки! Спасибо. 🤝
Thanks!! 👍👍
Where can i buy that bed?
You are the best carpenter i've ever seen. I'm noticias lying
Build to last forever. What a craftsmanship!!
🙌😁👏
The most entertaining show about skills and equipment available for the major leagues....not for many of us😊😊
😁🙌

I am just blown away! I could watch this all day!
😁🙌👍
Специалист, любящий свою работу. Класс.
Great skill set! Also helps to have half a million dollars worth of tools
👍
Very nice skill supported by precision power tools delivers good output of woodwoorking 👌🏼😁
Thanks 👍
Love the work but wished you would use the camera sideways to see a wide shot of the work.
You're a good craftsman. The instrument is magnificent. 100👍🏻
Thank you very much!
Amazing project. Looks like it would weigh a ton. And do you own stock in Festool and Titebond?
I'll just sleep on the floor...
(jk - fantastic work!)
Very well done... Perfect

Wow thank you 🙏

Well it is "Dusty"
🇺🇸 🫱🏼🫲🏽 🇨🇦
The right equipment and knowledge of how to use them is the true art. An artist is nothing without the medium

Boas ferramentas fazem toda diferença. Excelente trabalho
They are awesome
Nicely done!! ❤
Thanks 👏👏
I love how on your builds you show lots of methods to complete the same task, very helpful.
P.S. was this frame made for an Elephant??🤣🤣
I appreciate this
Hey,
Your skills are a kind of art 👍
💯% incredibly
How long you've take for this project, how many hours 🤔
Cheers from 🇦🇹

Always satisfying to watch.
I appreciate that
Great craftsmanship and nice Festool advertising
🙌
You must go thru a lot of sharpies.
Dude you an Absolute Master😮
Do I need to reenforce my bedroom floor before before putting this bed in?
How many ways are there to complete build?
Dusty has that covered!
I think I'll go take a hardwood pallet apart and make something.
You always inspire, brother 👊
Thank you very much. I worked on this over a few weeks alongside other projects
Very, very nice dusty lumber tool addict 👏👍🍻

What a great festool commercial! LoL great video! 🤓 how much did this weigh at the end?
Thanks. A few hundred pounds I would guess
Beautiful is that pine??
I have one word to describe your work: Uaaaaaaaaauuuuuuuuuuu!!!!!!!
👍👏👏
Where do I start? All your work is very beautiful and well done.. your bro Mustafa from Baghdad ❤
Thank you very much
Wondering why you didn't cut the tenons with the router in the first place?
What type of wood is that? Pine or Douglas Fir?
Spruce and Fir
@@dustylumberco Thanks. Nice work.
Once in place that bed ain't going anywhere!
Do you have plans for sale?
💪 Sorry I do not create any plans for my builds
@@dustylumbercono worries.
I didnt know Festool had a new commercial out.

@@dustylumberco I'm only hatin' cause I'd kill to have a shop full of Festool.

Dude, what is sleeping on that bed? Elephants?
🤣
How did we do anything before track saws?
🤣
My goodness, that router is a beast. I have the 1010 and 1400, but that thing is insane! :)
😁👏🙌
What was the timeframe for this project Dusty? Looking at doing a bed frame as a wedding present to my new wife
I spent a few weeks on this alongside other projects
Dusty you have lots of skills but I think measurement and marking out accurately are your best as otherwise none of what you do would work out as it does.

Man you have everything I want.lol
😁
Какой инструмент у тебя очен обожаю твой труд.
Thank you
I lost count, i began counting the number of equipment used, but as i said i lost count, and of coarse the craftmanship of "Dusty"
Thank you
Is this bedframe for outdoor use? It’s built like a old french farm/winery building 😅
🤣
No se puede trabajar mejor enora buena te doy un 10
using only hand tools onl how much longer would it take you to do that,
Long time
my son inlaw is a cabinet maker and they just go straight to the power tools while doing their apprenticeship.
