I truly prefer their outer screen size as it is. Think they are trying to tell us that is their signature design for foldables.
It's always going to be a point of contention. Personally my daily driver will be the S line until fold is significantly wider or I won't ever switch it's fine for me
I think they're trying to tell us that also. I think Samsung wants their Fold to be unique, and not as wide as the Chinese foldables.
That's what I've been saying all along. Incremental updates and refinements. Sammy has chosen this lane. They're not "lazy" and it's not that they don't care about their users. They made it clear that they want a one hand usable closed phone but they want users to use it open (like I'm doing now). If outer screen is as large as a typical phone, why bother opening it unless in rare occasions? Now, would I like it to be a bit wider? Of course! Am I still struggling trying to decide on getting Fold 6 or trying out OnePlus Open? Of course...
Yep message received and most.of use who have been buying folds the last several years realize they are now Ignoring what we want. We in turn this year will send them a messag" we are not buying the fold 6" because you failed to Implement a wider outer screen and a set of best in class for foldables cameras. Me personally I will be getting rid of my fold 5 and going with another foldable (of which now there are several) which meets the required/ignored criteria

My Zold 5 started to malfunction on me recently so Ill be looking into another Fold potentially. The OnePlus Open though 👀
The open has some bugs also but it's my first foldable an it's way better then the Pixel 6 pro I had so I'm not complaining an takes good pictures

I have a Z Fold 4. Not sure yet about the Z Fold 6 whether I want to upgrade yet or not. Still gauging whether the value is there or not
I have the 4, and you may consider the upgrade to the hinge a valid reason to upgrade
5 & 6 shut flat and that is great but don't switch your 4 it not broken
The front display is only .1 of a difference in terms of width so essentially pointless 😂
Reminds me of buying my S24U and thinking it would be a money saving idea to put my S23U case on it. After all it seemed to fit - except that it didn't and somehow put my S24U into Safe Mode.

That's not releasing now...and if it releases later this year it will be China only
They say it's going to be called the Samsung Fold Slim. It won't have Spen support but the cameras may be different. It also will have larger screens inside and out. Releasing October this year only in Korea and China.

No one really cares since none of us will ever have the same device for even close to that long lol. I don't even understand hows that's a selling point😮

@@joshua476 i buy multiple phones per year so i barely get 3-4 mos of full time use on a device before im on another one. 2 yrs ? Ill never use a device that long..can't imagine using a 2 yr old phone other than just for nostalgia sake like i do with my note 20 ultra for example. Its fun to hope on it for a day or two every so often

That's cool but I'm not really interested in the fold I don't like foldable phones and also what's happening to the s25 Ultra with the round I'm not too crazy about that either people complain about the corners use a case I have the UAG case the one you have and when I hold it in my hands I don't feel the corners so much complain about the corners use a case these people don't understand Jeff anyway great video take care I hope you had a great 4th of July if I see that the s25 Ultra has round corners I'm not going to get it I'll wait till the s26 if they change it back to a square boxy phone it's crazy that's what makes the phone look so classy and it's actually a Galaxy Note people don't understand that😅😅😅😅😅

The Chinese foldable phones are waaaaaay better. Honor, Huawei, Xaimi, Vivo, Oneplus, Moto, all Chinese phones are far better than this repeat of a phone. We must make samsung do better by not buying their repeated products. Good thing is, now we can get the Z Fold 5 for at least $500 off now, which is the sensible price of around $1,100👍🏾😎👍🏾
Hardware maybe, but software wise, Samsung and Apple are miles ahead.
I agree with you, but Dex, Goodlock and Samsung's UI is the best for someone in the ecosystem. If Samsung opens up Notes, Chinese ROM here I come! I really thought Samsung heard us on the front screen but Samsung's CEO really loves the Folds current form factor. 😢

Disappointed.... I was hoping for a wide front display. I think I'm going to ditch my z fold 5....... I was spoiled with the surface duo 2. The google fold is the next best thing.

I'm not upgrading to the 6 , Samsung has become a joke . They seem to be competing with apple to see who brings out the slowest upgrades. It's ridiculous how they want us to keep laying almost 2k for a foldable phone when they don't give us any major upgrades. Screw #samsung
I will not be purchasing the fold 6!! Last years OnePlus Open is still a better choice. The Global versions of the Vivo and Honor foldables are also a better choice, for those of us who want a larger screen. Almost forgot the new Pixel fold 2 or whatever the name is going to be.
