Walker should've stopped Gordon, you can see him just jogging back, allowing Gordon to bolt into the box, could've edged him to the line instead
Not making an excuse for walker but walkers role was to play high and wide against Newcastle so he’d obviously have to do a lot of running back and forth and if you rewatch the goal, before the pass you can see walker sprint back into his defensive position right when Gordon (who’s fresh) starts to run at the goal so I’m guessing Walker was so tired from running back into position he didn’t want to be more tired by pressing Gordon and potentially get beat easily

I'm a neutral fan but I've seen Kyle Walker get cooked a few times this season. I'm not necessarily saying he's been awful but if Trent Alexander Arnold was making the same defensive mistakes people would be crucifying him. Journalists and pundits were constantly giving him shit for his defending last season and even though he's noticeably improved this season nobody is really giving him the credit he deserves

I actually hate overloading the first midfielders table, because it will get silly, if there are too many top midfielders there, but I really think De Bruyne only needs a ballon Dór or like 2 more UCL´s and he will retire alongside Iniesta, Xavi, Modric and Zidane, he is inredible

i think rashford tries to play in hojlund a lot more than before now, but we still suck because our attack is so predictable + completely lacks a spark. we're very much still a moments team. the only thing i disagree w is that we lack desire this year. i think this yr has been marginally different to the ole/rangnick year (21/22) which i personally consider to be the worst everrr united season because there seems to be some kind of hunger (aston villa game, nottm forest, chelsea, etc) to come back in games and put in a shift. but in terms of style of play or potential for improvement even w the injured players returning, i don't see it at all. think EtH is getting time until the sir jim deal is fully thru/summer which i'm personally ok with considering this season is a write-off & i don't really care abt getting a CL spot but... it's over tbh. might be the most depressing utd season ever for me just because i had higher hopes after last yr

Incorrectly getting on Walker how? it has nothing to do with Walker a few years ago would blitz down both of them but its the fact that he was literally jogging back watching Gordon sprint down towards the goal. He easily could have caught up to him sooner and kept him further away from the goal giving everyone else more time to get back and to give Gordon more to think about. Absolutely nothing to do with his "pace" just put some effort in that to track back man he was looking stationary

Fuad said de Bruyne can go inch for inch with gerrard scholes and lampard at what they did. He isn’t as good defensively as Gerrard. He doesn’t have a better work rate than Gerrard. Everything else I’ll give u. But the most complete midfielder in prem history is Gerrard. He could do everything on a football pitch. De bruyne is an incredibly gifted technical player
