Some questions I thought of that are both related and not related to football: Who would you want as captain in a final? Goalkeeper you would want in a pk shooutout? What player you would want to have in a pub fight?

Eden Hazard was an early prodigy, he broke into the French ligue and won YPOY or POY every year he played while KDB was still finding his footing. Revisionist history regarding the World Cup (Silver Ball) and even 2016 Euros is just shameful and possibly agenda based. KDB grew into his game and is a top player and it is mostly definitely his league and has been for at least 5 years.
5 years is over the top. It's been his league since Hazard left Chelsea but 2018 and 2019 Hazard was still best and I'd say only VVD could chat to him then. His overall game and stats were unreal especially in 18/19 and he carried that Sarri team to 3rd place and Europa but it was a very poor side around him (they would've come 6th max without him). He should've been in contention for POTY that year having been the only player other than Messi to get 15 league goals and 15 league assists

That age point lost me Hazard winning leagues for Chelsea when kdb was going on loans etc; kdb has overtaken him but the age thing with hazard is a myth as he was playing top end ball whilst kdb/salah were finding their feet in football. So it balances out as they’re doing great now

The disrespect hazard against because of how his Real Madrid transfer turned out is mental. We all know those years tainted his legacy but that doesn’t take away his talent. Longevity isn’t only if you play after your 30’s people forget hazard was playing since early he won the French league with Lille when he was 20/21 and was crowned the best player. He was consistently good for Belgium since his debut and in belgium he is arguably seen als the best player ever from there. His Chelsea careers was chaotic with constantly changing of managers and never having a real striker besides Diego Costa for 1 year. It is not crazy to say that hazard is the best belgium to play in PL.

G/a always with kdb, his performance was crap as has been for his performances for Belgium in general. The hazard performance against Brazil is one of the best individual displays in the world cup even without g/a.
Kdb and hazard have differemt positions with different roles, it's hard to compare both players because they are both one of the best in their position but there are things that hazard can do that KDB can't and vice versa.

Fuad talking crazy about Barcelona. Identity and style of play is something we have always talked about. We dominated football for a decade and not once did we change what we believed in. Now it might be bad, but still we believe in our identity. 27 league titles, 31 CdR, 5 CL's and talking about taking L's? We are one of the most decorated teams of all time with that philosophy. There are plenty of teams that have a win above all mentality with less to show for it.

First of all from 2006-2015 we won 4 CL's. Not a single team won more than 1 in that period. We also won 6 league titles in that decade. That is about as dominant as it gets. Hazard has to be the most disrespected prem player ever. Hazard played at a world class level dominated leagues from the time he was a teenager. And then guys like Fuad want to just yell and shout discrediting him because he retired early. He played at a much higher level from the start of his career and it caught up to him unfortunately. Hazard was THE most entertaining attacker in the premier league during his entire time there all while playing in Chelsea teams that didn't have great attacking talent aroud him and didn't play attack minded football. Don't get me wrong KDB is incredible but don't forget he's dominating in a one horse race.

Kdb actually had a good world cup and scored in their quarter final tie against Brazil (Hazard did nothing that game. Respect to Abz for standing up for his opinion about Hazard, I think he is right, Hazard was able to dominate the league with chelsea and still be the best player in the league even without winning it.
De bruyne has been dominating the league for most of the last 6 years, but Salah was almost toe to toe with him, If Hazard was in Man city or liverpool, I really think there would be a different discussion. Like always, we prefer attakers over midfielders because of the dribbling aspect.
After some years though, I think De bruyne will surpass Hazard after doing even more in the Prem and winning almost every year with Pep and at the end, it will be just like Henry and CR7, one of them is better but the other has done more in the Prem.
Next time you do one of these, bring up old hot takes to test the consistency of the pod members , I think most of them forget what they came up with on the spot at times 😂

Responding to Abz on his Bruno and Rashford take, Manchester United's best performance this season was the game against crystal palace in the EFL cup. that game was played without both Bruno and Rashford and it showed that the team is more cohesive and would run more without the two stars. the very next game for united was against the same crystal palace team in the league and this game united started bruno and ashford and proceeded to lose 1-0. if they're sold then the team will improve on the field and in the dressing room.

The day you stop looking at the stats, including goals or assists, you might actually start appreciating how good Hazard actually was because this is the only player I’ve ever seen in my life besides Messi that can singlehandedly carry a team throughout a whole season(on multiple, multiple occasions), without even scoring or assisting. @@maxymax32 Gabriel has never thoroughly impressed me as a center back. Defensively I can't knock Gabriel because he is a big dude who can put a body on someone to dispossess them of the ball. However, Gabriel crumbles when it matters most. When Saliba was out last season, he did not pick up the slack, which contributed to Arsenal not winning the league like they should have.
As for Micky Van de Ven, I have been very impressed with the job he has done so far for Spurs, in the amount of games he's played so far. He's a fast center back, who can facilitate the ball well, is a pretty solid defender, and can be can offensive threat when need be. The only knock on him is his sample size. VDV was doing very well in the Bundesliga for Wolfsburg, beforehand. But nobody was talking about him yet, at that time.
But I wouldn't say that it is a "no contest," or that Van de Ven blows him out of the water. It's about current form, yes, however; it's also about preference in terms of ability.
