- Today I got the opportunity to see the Fisker Ocean live for the first time in order to make a decision if I will keep my reservation or not. I share my thoughts about especially the Fisker Ocean in this video. Also some other interesting cars.

The Fisker looks great. I would definitely go for the Fisker when they have the main built ones.
The design is great!
I like what you said about the seats ;)
Tak for et fedt review - det er super cool så mange så mange detaljer du når rundt omkring 🙂
Tack 🙏
Good review and the stuff you are worried about, well spot on. Just what we are all interested in. 🙂
Glad you enjoyed it
BMW!!
Thanks for showing this video. Glad to see this Ocean with a roof rack! Better looking EV then what is currently out!
I agree, design is great!
I think there are some great details in this for you and it is interesting to me that everybody focuses on the few negative comments. A couple major points here one the comparison to the BMW IX is unfair considering the base price of the 50 is 90,000 the base price on the 60 is 120,000. I expect the performance specs on the Fisker or somewhere between the two. It is understandable, but is it in Finish it’s not comparable to a car cost nearly twice as much as the launch edition. Also, I really think the partnership with magna is going to benefit Fisker and alleviate many of concerns raised. In terms of Camera that is a common problem and even cameras on my existing car where 48 inches off ground still needs cleaning in winter.
iX1, not iX !!!
@@swede-365 I am frustrated on lack of details and specs on new EVs including the Fisker Ocean. The FOcean does compare favorably to the BMW IX. The IX1 is more compact and less performance. But where are the specifications!!! You EV manufacturers need to do a better job to eliminate speculation.
I'm sticking with my Ocean "ONE"
Merci pour votre vidéo ;)
What's the interior feel of the plastic like?. Hopefully not too cheap and scratchy. Hopefully high end interior materials to match the seating fabrics.
I think it was quite plastic on many areas.
I just ordered my ix1 m sport fully loaded in Norway I was going to get the black but after seeing your frozen grey Matt paint I had to get that it looks amazing and really shows the work bmw has put into the cars design. The fisher just doesn’t seem to have the build qualities. Also you have to think about resale value
The frozen paint really fits the iX1. My dealer has a normal silver in their showroom now and it looks like a totally different car, much more boring and cheaper look.
A random idea: Maybe you should just get a BMW iX?? (BMW Quality + similar size of the Fisker)
Fisker did not go bankrupt. Vehicle was not “removed from the market”, they are still made and sold. The company was purchased and is now Karma auto. I have a dealer in my town.
Fisker Automotive filed for bankruptcy in November 2013, after the United States Department of Energy auctioned its debt and sold it to Hybrid Technology LLC for US$25 million.
@@swede-365 well they sure weren't "removed from the market" that was entirely incorrect, as far as bankruptcies, Apple and Marvel have also both claimed bankruptcies in the past.
Facit Twist!
???
How did the Maliblu interior looked in person?
I give my thoughts about the interior in the video. The Malibu was not as blue as I thought....which I think was good.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder but the iX1 looks far better in every single way to me.
I wish they would showcase the car in a better color, like matte blue, because this one looks rather plain.
iX1 for sure…
out of the seats available the blue is my least favorite. There is also Sea Salt and a vegan black leather that looks great. This should be mentioned. All of the vehicles out there are prototypes and have tweaks needed. The interface is one of them.
Thank you! I assume BMW iX is 85,000+. Quite expensive to $69,000 Ocean One? The more I see Malibu the less I like it.
Watch my video from yesterday where I compare them also as for price in Sweden. Link also in this video in the corner.
Fisker före bmw1 😳 oj då
those wheels look like "raw" carbon fibre, with the spokes designed for aerodynamic efficiency. On a road bicycle those would be expensive features for maximum performance-and the raw carbon look there to show how much you've spent. On this SUV is could well reduce the massive range penalty low profile wheels bring -a penalty due to the weight of the wheel itself. That range penalty is why the ix1 M-sport has 20-30 km less range than the xLine, devaluing the whole "pay more for a bigger wheel" story the car vendors push. Maybe in a few years, everyone's wheels will look like this
Byt you can still make them look good…
ahh, but when they coat as much as they do -as they do on a bicycle- you want it show off the fact. For cars though, especially crossover SUVs, the premium look of low profile wheels is why people for them. So here Fisker have to convince the customer they want this look, possibly by getting everyone else to appreciate the cost. Me? I hate the expensive sound low-pro wheels make when I park badly, so given they're doomed and the penalties in cost and range, going for the high profil -which is a key reason why I've gone for xLine + features over M-sport. Pity. as the rest of the M-Sport exterior and interior is nice
In Sweden you can have M Sport with different size on the wheels, you don’t have to choose 20”
Interesting and informative! It leaves me to believe that for the foreseeable future the iX1 is the correct decision for me! I’m sure BMW will update the software to overcome issues with the adaptive headlights before my expected delivery in Apr/May.
Good choice!
I came here from the Stocktwits board. Your video has blown up a bit. It's being used by bears and short sellers to demonstrate why Fisker as a company is likely to fail! Personally I think it's a well balanced view of the problems a new start up will face, although I do hope the final vehicles will have a slightly better interior than these 80% complete prototype's.
Very interested in your view of Magna's Freeform seats, though. A comfortable seating position is almost enough to swing the purchase of a vehicle for me (all other things being equal). At the very least, I've not bought vehicles in the past on the basis that their seats were too uncomfortable.
Keep the iX1 at least for some time,
it's à better car!
I still think is wrong to say the interior is cheap when it’s not a production car. I remember when I drove in the bmw i3 prototype before I bought mine, and the plastics on the interior were horrible! Looked terrible and felt terrible! But the production car was totally different. I don’t think it will bmw quality, but it will be good for its price range. Not to mention eco friendly materials just don’t look nor feel the same as the usual luxury materials we got now! I mean, my bmw i3s for example! It’s considered a high end luxury city car, but compared to an x5 interior? Yeah. So please stop using the world cheap, it’s irrelevant at this point since we haven’t even seen the final production vehicle.
I still think it gives a cheap impression but that’s my personal opinion. I think it’s pretty close to production finish because the production is already started and they show it at a public car show.
@@swede-365 is not at all. As you can tell this car has a 50/50 split in the rear seat! The actual production model has a 40-20-20 split seat in the rear! Those cars were made months ago! Anyways, might not be your taste, but is not cheap. I have had bmw, still got one, and there plenty cheaply made parts in them, the buttons tend to peal after a few years, leatherette always cracks after a little while, so yeah. The fisker is not luxury, but is far made from cheap parts.
If you look on my video the car has 40-20-40. Also I say that it is a prototype. Also I can only base my impressions of this one which is the only one I have seen. So it’s my personal impressions which also mention clearly. I mention a lot of positive things about this car and think it’s a really interesting car.
Pfff Fisker looks okay but the iterior brrrrr :-( I'm pretty sure the driving experience will also not touch any of what BMW offers. Don't do it, keep the IX1!
Hard to tell before anyone has tested it…
The car you comparing Fisker is BMW ix1. Currently base model of ix1 in US is $84.000 comparing to base price Fisker $39.999 or lets say middle trim for $49.999. You do realize that BMW is $34.000 more expensive than Fisker you are looking at. So basically for the price of 1 little ix1 You can almost buy Ocean Sport and Ocean Ultra two of them together. I would not for example compare Lotus to Lexus and say components look cheap at Lexus... It is an non starter. Basically if you are willing to give $34.000 more for a car there is almost always one up to your comparison. They are not the same segment cars. I personally would not give a small electric car $84.000 just because it has a name tag BMW.
If you look at my other video for which I have a link in this video you see that I compare the prices.
iX1 is not even sold in US yet I think??? I think you look in iX but that’s a totally different car.
@@swede-365 after further research yes you are right. I got fooled with an australian site that states it is $82.900. But now I see they meant Australian dollar. Thanks for letting me know. 1aus dollar = 0.69 us dollar
Please watch my other video in the link where I compare them. Then you also see why I am so interested in the Fisker which I still think is a great car.
Keep the BMW
Honestly, I think the Fisker looks like crap. Also, it’s not a BMW.
Stick with your iX1.
The wheels are terrible. Not sure about the overall design. Keep you iX1
I have seen the F6 Vortex rims which are 100x times nicer that those carbon fiber rim covers... because they are covers
Yes, they really looked awful. First I thought they drove the car there on salted Swedish winter roads and forgot to clean the wheels…
@@swede-365 I really like those wheels. You guys are crazy 🤪
Everyone has their particular taste! But the Ocean has plenty of options on wheels. Not to mention aftermarket wheels are infinite. So not a big worry on that front.
