- This week we are out testing the new rear suspension setup in my 1989 Toyota Pickup. Does it flex better with the Chevy 63" Leaf springs? Of course!

time for longer shocks in the rear! Clearly the 63's are limited by the shock stroke
I love watching your videos! It looks like you always are having a blast while making them. Keep it up! :)
Yes that leaf still had more downtravel. You definitely need some longer shocks now!
This truck is awesome! It's came a long freaking way! Lots of time and hard work! Appreciate you video recording all of it! Love it!
Was waiting for ya to ramp that burnt out car...🙂
. Ur trucks lookin great!!!!
Groove those tires yet?
Your Toyota pickup is amazing
Thank you!
I love doing tests up where you are . Lol . Been stuck up there a few times or more. Both places, my kid loves you guys. 👍
Hey can you tell me more about your drive shaft? Did you have to shim the axle or use a double cardan rear drive shaft?
Having a hard time finding a spot to max your suspension travel is a good problem to have! I have the same issue with my long armed TJ!
Yeah Build one
awesome vid 👏 i have a stock 93 pickup, do you think i should get an ifs lift or try to save up for a solid axle (if i can find one) then lift it?
Save up for solid axle. I have a 93 too. Went from ball joint lift to bracket lift then long travel. Wish I would have just gone solid axle from the beginning.
Luke where are you located?
@@justinmention7622 idaho
@Luke Ahrnsbrak ah okay didn't know if by chance you were in north Texas I would have a lead on a solid front axle for you then.
@@justinmention7622 darn it! 😂
Step 1
Can of Right stuff on the back tire beads
Step 2
0-2psi all day long. 2psi front 0psi rear.
Drive it on the road home aswell.🤘🏼👊🏻 you will be going anywhere. You won’t look like you struggle so much.. been doing it for over 25 years on every shit tire and hood tire possible. Ask max how his truck does with his pressure that low. He was kind blown away.
Oh we know! We have dropped them to 2 PSI, it's amazing how much better it is in the snow! The goal here was not wheeling though, and I really did not want to drive home on pavement. Plus no hose for my compressor or combustible to put tire back on bead just in case.
Can you please do a swap on the 2008 toyota solara sle 3.3
What alxe did you use and how did you obtain it? I have been looking for 85 pickup/4runner alxes yet i can't seem to find any.
I'm from Brazil and I see your truck has front shackles are instaled in the rear of the front leafs. What did you made for the linguee don't fall when the front suspension flex?
Good test ramp
Are you getting axle wrap.
Need to take that load leaf out and put the one back in you will get more flex
Yes, but I kept it in to fight axle wrap.
I love your videos
What size are your tires
37s!
Hell yeah!!💪💪
#flexfriday - nice stuff Clint!
How come you guys don't use tires like super swampers
They aren't really that good.
Also really overpriced in Canada
Because I bought Toyo MTs a few years ago and they are still good. I find the Toyos are decent at pretty much everything, including road manners. Where dedicated off-road tires can be amazing in snow or mud, but you are making compromises on road manners, and swampers specifically are massive hockey pucks and cut through snow to the ice and just spin, they need lots of deep powder and big power.
Pull your valve stem puller out of purse let some air go 12 might as well be 32 lol
Thanks tips!
Click click click. You are about to loose a front axle joint
Your hearing the square tube front driveshaft.
Too funny!
