I remember at the start of the movie Charlie said ‘this guy is no duck’ and Hans replied ‘perhaps you should show him the way’. And Charlie has done just that.
When I was younger I couldn't understand pyscology or mental statements. So I couldn't understand why he was being mean to the team of taking their Ducks jerseys away. Then I thought Gordon Bombay spoke to him to give them their jerseys back. Now that I'm older, his statement was they were playing a new level of hockey and they needed to grow up and earn their jerseys back! Great statement!
I have always felt that besides Charlie, Adam was the most excited to get the Duck uniform back on. Because while he was an OG Duck, he joined after all besides D2 had their uniforms. And after being on Varsity, separated from his friends and not being believed by Charlie, he NEEDED that uniform on again.
I think the fact Orion looked at Charlie, he knew that being a Duck meant a lot to the team, but especially to him. So to have them returned after they earned it, i think that's why Orion looked at Charlie first that way
Coach Orion had to start from scratch with the team. While they were still learning two way hockey they were Warriors, then when they had finally learned two way hockey they were Ducks again.
@@adamturner5005 the Goodwill Games in the film are Junior League level. This was high school level. Orion even hits it home after Varsity humiliated them "this isn't the pee-wees. Your little Duck tricks are not going to work at this level". The very first hint was their first game as JV. They did the tricks and the Blake team figured them out quickly and shut them down in embarrassing fashion
Adam should've stayed on JV the entire time. Idk why he was put on the Varsity side. He already left one team, the Hawks. He didn't want to leave another.
Do it, Ducks. Do it for Bombay! Do it for Hans! Do anything it takes! Make the Warriors rue the day they messed with you and have you thrown out of Eden Hall Academy!
When I first watched this movie Orion was hated but the more I watched I understood the reasons why he did what he did. If this team wanted to be successful at the High School level he he had to do things his way. Charlie hated it but he had to learn somehow.
@@Knight-xc2tt actually if he's the coach at the High School and not some Pee-Wee league he does.... they needed to learn to grow up. The school was the Knights not the Ducks...
@@darthraider7935 The Warriors.... anyway he can control the school uniforms as he chooses. He can tell them not to wear the Ducks uniform anymore while on the ice practicing. He cannot take possession of those uniforms from them. Period. They own them.
He took them away because the old ducks were dead. Orion wanted to turn them into the new and improved ducks with his two way hockey system. Plus new uniform smell is always the best.

Orion always knew that they were Ducks. They just had to earn it.
That’s very true and very obvious in every way man
Just like Conway had to earn that C back.

the mighty ducks are my comfort movies
These movies made my childhood. 30 years of age now. How time flies.
I know

Naw Gordon Bombay went to Orion’s house 3am drunk in his undies

The Ducks are resurrected! Wait till the varsity gets a taste of them!!
Finally, The Mighty Ducks Are Alive.
Coach Orion had to start from scratch with the team. While they were still learning two way hockey they were Warriors, then when they had finally learned two way hockey they were Ducks again.
True
so they manage to win at the olympics by just playing one way yet in school they had to learn 2 way to beat another team lol

The Warriors die, and the Ducks will fly.
The Mighty Ducks, The Big Green and Remember the Titans are my favorite Sports movie
Same
Movies, plural.
Mine too along with Glory Road. 🏀

I'm glad that he gave back the uniforms. They were much more like Ducks, than Warriors.
Yep
They needed to earn it

This movie made me think JV was so serious back in the day.
Greatest sports triliogy ever
Jon Gruden when he coached hockey.
"...so if.you want your pride back you better be willing to work."
That was the hint. They had to step up their game from the previous two movies.
The Eden Hall Hockey Team !
They got their duck jerseys back....
He wanted them to earn it
Like Gordon Bombay did before Orion.
Ted had to discipline the players. He wanted them to learn good defensive skills.
They weren't his to take in the first place...
they had to earn them
@@sebastianverano8723 Earn them? They belonged to THEM. Coach Orion isn't in any position to hold them for them to earn the symbol they united under.
