  • Professional bass angler Brandon Palaniuk is a diehard fish finder user and credits a portion of his on-the-water domination to his ability to find fish and key fish holding cover with electronics. Humminbird's 360 Imaging is a key component of his bow game, and as he puts it, "I will see things off to the side or out in front of me, that are under the water, off the bank...that other anglers are missing."
    Brandon walks us through his preferred custom 360 Imaging settings and what he's looking for in the sonar return. He then demonstrates how to analyze the image and ultimately make accurate casts to areas of interest others are missing. This is an excellent setup video for existing and new Humminbird 360 Imaging owners, and an introductory video to the capabilities of this unique all-seeing imaging technology.

      Everyone wants to know the magic settings. Every body of water is totally different depending on a number of variables.

    Dark spot on the south side of the finder )6 o clock) is probably due to the shaft of the trolling motor?

    I see you have 4 units I am assuming 2 in front are same as to at wheel. The one your showing us the 360 is that a Di unit and the other a Si-Di unit.This stuff is getting really pricey these day. The average guy can't afford 4 units let alone 4 of the Solex12 and 15's. Love you help. I have one unit and do have 360 on my troller and would love one up front but need to do it the least expensive way possible. If AT All Thanks for the Vedeo

    I fish for dinner on the table. It may cost $ 100 a pound the first couple years, but electronics have made fun to explore underwater and consistently put food on the table.

    Does the 360 transducer also do the down imaging and sonar or is that still a separate transducer?

    • @bradtyler206
      @bradtyler206 Před 5 lety

      Nathan..I recently purchased a 360 unit. It is ‘360’ only..
      You still need a separate transducer for your other sonar views.

    How do you tell the depth of the fish on the 360? Great you see what's around you but what good is it if you don't know how deep they are? It's like you know a robber is in your house & you know they are in the living room but don't know where to shoot. Ummm... Ok. You better like plastering walls when it's over. High price point to still have to guess is all I'm saying. Unless you can show me different.

    • @Wired2Fish
      @Wired2Fish  Před 4 lety +1

      You're correct that it's doesn't show you the exact depth the fish are located but it's still extremely useful for being able to make accurate casts to fish or just as importantly, key structure, cover and bottom composition changes. Most (not all) of the time, bass are cover-oriented with most cover elements relating to the bottom. Making targeted casts, basically sight fishing when the naked eye can't see, can drastically increase the bites you get. For example, say I'm crankbait fishing and want to target the outer grassline but don't want to hang in the cover. I can make long parallel casts just off the grass instead of casting up into it. Here's a video where I used 360 Imaging to make targeted casts to the biggest boulders on a spot:

      You've probably figured this out by now, but generally the further the bottom shadow is from the suspended marked fish the higher the fish is off the bottom. If the marked fish and the shadow are close together the fish is closer to the bottom. Tight lines and easy on the drag!

    360 is worthless unless you are sitting completely still. any waves or wind and it is completely static. Stop misleading consumers

    What is the point of fishing when u use sonar...u better toss MOAB in the area and just net the fish....

    • @nastybasswelding
      @nastybasswelding Před 6 lety +2

      Zlatan Brankovic The goal here is not to kill the fish. Unless you got some crappie or white bass in mind. Going out deep for large mouth in the summer without a fish finder makes for a real shitty day of not catching anything. Casting out to nothing won’t get you a fish.

      Brandon respectfully states at the 5:41 mark that not everyone is into electronics and technology as it relates to fishing. But if you are, this info may be of interest. We respect and produce content for the full spectrum of conventional anglers ranging from bank fisherman, kayak, right on up to top-tier touring pros such as Brandon.

      The point for me is to quickly eliminate all them places that you don't want to fish at.
      Finding brush piles is not exactly easy on a lake that's 5 or 6000 acres.
