- Hi Guys,
Thank you so much for watching, I hope you found this video interesting or helpful if you are thinking of dying your hair from a similar shade to a bright ginger colour like I have. Or even if you found it interesting seeing how to lighten darker hair and how my hair responded to the products I was using.
To strip the dye from my hair I used Colour B4: www.superdrug.com/Colour-B4/C...
To lighten it I used Jerome Russell Bblonde Maximum Lightening Kit: www.superdrug.com/B-Blonde/Bb...
To get the bright ginger look I used Garnier Olia Intense Copper: www.superdrug.com/Hair/Hair-C...
It was a rollercoaster of a ride, but one I am glad we took together!

“Let’s hope my hair doesn’t fall out because that would be really awkward 🎵” 😂🤣
The "patchy" bleach job gave you more dimension!👍🏼
I've been cutting and colouring my hair myself for the past few years. Fun to do, watching CZcams you learn as you go. Saves a fortune 🥰🥰🥰
girl this turned out insane I love it!
I love this 😍😍 thanks for sharing your story, I think I’m going to try for this color too!
Your hair can handle A LOT, it looks fantastic 🧡❤️
i love that color! i'm going to try color remover then try that color. you look gorgeous!
That color looks amazing on you!!
Looks stunning! Really really suits you. I'm also paler skinned with blue eyes, so now considering a bold red! Thanks.
Go for it! I love my new fiery red barnet! ❤
@@HeatherDarroch I've already gone and done it 😂😂

this one
Why did I panic at the bleach when I already know your hair looks bomb?? hahah, wit woo! ❤️
This looks SO natural on you! I would never guess that you aren't naturally a redhead! LOL. I'm quite fair skinned as well, with a neutral/cool undertone and have been wanting to go more red! I'm currently at like a medium/deep auburn color. I wasn't wanting to have to bleach it, but I may not have another choice if I'm wanting to go that much lighter! HA! This turned out so lovely on you! ❤️
i mean,it doesnt look natural.................. but it looks good
Omg your hair is gorrgeeoouuss! I'd love to know how you up keep the roots? I'm seriously considering dying my hair ginger!!
This looks SO good!!
Love it! What lip color did you have on for the final look? I need it!
Oh cool! You did the color again!
It looks amazing hunny bunny
I used a similar color ruby ,looks beautiful on you.
Literally most helpful video of all time LoL. I just stripped my hair twice from black... I'm at the lightish brown stage... So I'm gonna bleach and then use the olia color. Basically I'm you. :)
Hope it turned out okay for you my lovely 💗
so pretty. great colour
Stunning love it
It looks beautiful ❤
Thumbs up for the intro song x i sing that song too every time i dye my hair 😆 x
It turned out beautiful. Wow! I'm doing this soon. I've got very long thick hair, got four bottles of the Jerome Russell bleach to use with the powder, and hoping it'll be enough. I'm not using Colour B4 first though, so hope it'll turn out okay. Fingers crossed. I have red-based hair anyway, but it's more of a red-brown at the moment. I want something fiery. I have two boxes of Loreal Feria Mango Copper, hoping for a gingery finish. Wish me luck, I'm nervous! lol
Hey I really like your video ! I just have one question. How do you do when you dark hair color start growing?
Looks beautiful
Hi, just watched your video on Brad Mondo's channel. I just wanted to say how amazing you looked at the end - you reminded me of Jessica Rabbit. So glam. Xx
I always wanted to try this color plus I have dark color hair now I know how to thanks to u
Wow looks great at the beginning I thought oh no but it really looks lovely you look like a different person. Have you ever thought of doing a how you do your make up video as you look stunning xx
Aww thank you! Yes it was touch and go with this hair transformation but I'm happy with the end result 😁 if make up videos are something you would be interested in watching I can definitely film one 😁 x
If you ever go dark again, then want to go light again, I would use a color stripper to remove at least one layer of the dark colour (a little less damaging and would probably just avoid lightening and patches) Then when doing the roots, I would have just avoided them completely because virgin hair, especially buy the scalp, takes dye so well. Ideally it would have been a smooth application :)
Anyways, the color looks fantastic!! 😍
I did use colour stripper 😁 I stripped it twice before lightening it, I think I mentioned in the video 😊 but definitely taking on board the comments about the roots! I didn't think and just chucked the dye on haha! Hopefully i won't go dark again any time soon but I know what I'm like.. Thank you lovely ❤❤
I don't know why but I like this patchy look😂 giving an illusion of highlights and low light
Omg I love your hair it's so gorgeous btw what lipstick are you wearing? I love it ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you lovely!! It's Revlon in shade 720 Fire and Ice ❤❤ xx
It's called hot roots. When u add a lightner to your roots first. Avoid the roots or 2-3" from your scalp you may later shampoo the lightner through the roots but it's not necessary
Great colour on you.this is the colour i want
Looks gorgeous. Have you bleached tour eyebrows?
Looking fierce its good to have you back! Vicky & mal x
Thank you lovelies!! ❤❤
What do you think of my channel so far? Am i doing alright? I think it shows im nervous gonna have to work on that i think x
How long did you keep the color on for? Last week I thought I would be a light auburn but it turned my hair a cherry cola color after bleaching so next month I'm gonna bleach again to get the copper I want with the same hair color you used. My natural color is very dark brown and I can't stand how I look with dark hair but the salon here wants $400 to get my hair the copper color which I can't afford so I'm gonna keep trying colors at home till I get the color I want lol my heritage is Irish/Scottish/French and Greek so I got light olive skin and the dark brown hair from the Greek side which I think I look horrible in. My mom's a natural red head and my son naturally has dishwater blonde with a bunch of red in the sun but I took after my dad so I have to change that lol
Love it ❤️
I hope that'cha can and do get It all of the way up to that point!😁
Completely amazing
OMG heather is your dad called Darroch? My brother is called Darroch (we are Scottish) and ive never heard of anyone else with his name! Exiting xx
Hi when u dyed it the last time did u go all over or just on the patches?
Thank you so much!!❤️
I literally used two boxes of copper brown on my hair and it gave a tint instead coverage, can I bleach with lightener and do again or do i have to strip what ive done? Please help!
Thank u 🙏🏼 I’m gonna do it tomorrow wish me luck
You should leave the roots till the last 5 mins in that case.
The colour really suits you
I'm wondering how this would work with grey roots?
Very good ❤️👏🏼
So beautiful
I may need to do this shade vs loreal paris feria intense copper lol or deep blonde copper lol hmm yes the second box I like but I'm going from black that has red under so I feel I'll have a red ish orange after bleaching so after hair color remover lol
WOW YOU SUIT THAT COLOR :0
you look like ambyr childers!!!! from the show “you” on netflix!!!
Quite beautiful cooper
Color oops is magic gets rid of any color u want to remove so u can dye it I went from red to blonde with it
Does it damage your hair?
Wow❤❤
So the lightening kit is basically developer?
Love it!!!!! just love it!1
I have same colour as you have in the start of the video
Fabulous but um needs to be alot brighter than that and bone straight though!🤓do you happen to have any 100%human hair extensions to match your hair color and have you ever thought about doing your eyebrows and eyelashes to match your hair color?😁
How ratio first time ND second time msm
I find it better for my hair to just freshen/lighten it with bleach shampoo for 5 min plus cheaper. Clarifying or regular shampoo a small bag if some bleach from Sally and i used 20 vol developer ( if you plan on lightening only one time tit can get cheaper single use developer. I get a 1L.or big bottle and it ends up being cheaper if you ever need it again. I had color build up and my kept turning brown/black instead of the auburn in box. So my hair dresser told me to do long enough bleach shampoo for me 5 min was enough to wash out all the brown dye and leave my hair to darkish blond so my hair could soak in the light intense copper. Finally my hair turned just like in the box. Bleach wash was way gentler then adding straight in bleach to wash out and lift couple shades of colour out of the hair. For clarifying shampoo to mix with bleach powder and developer i used head n shoulders( some water if you want to dilute it a bit) make sure not to start with the roots and put the lightner to close to your roots or you might get funky colour " hot roots"
This is your colour!!!
How did you do your roots? X
Fucking hell!! You look incredible 🔥 Love!
🙈❤ thank you lovely!!
Eu amei 🇧🇷😍
The root thing happened to me my roots are still lighter :c
well done
Looks lovely xx
Thank you!! ❤
i really really wanna dye my hair orange copper from black. i dyed my hair black before christmas 2020 and today i can’t stand it, my roots are turning to my natural color, but i’m bored with it. i have to do it at home too. do you think its safe to do it?
I’m on the same boat! Gonna bleach wash/bath today to get rid of some of the dark.
I wish this worked for me!! It really didn’t 🤣😭 my roots are bright ginger (what I wanted) the rest of my hair is pretty much still brown (after bleaching!) gonna have to bleach all dark parts again and then reapply ginger.. again 🙃 nightmare!!
This is what I wanted but I got more of a red red grrrr
What colour did you use
6.403 hiusväri kokeile tätä hiusväriä sopisi hyvin 🔥🔥🔥🔥🌹🌹🌹🌹
Hey Heather!🤓
*Advice for people who don't wanna use bleach:*
Start dying in the summer and have a little patience. I had even darker brown hair than hers and I now I have veeery light copper hair. I've never used bleach and my hair is really healthy so the dye won't damage you much and bleach obviously will. If you start during the summer your base colour will be lighter and it will be a lot easier to transition. Please wait at least a month between sessions so you don't damage your hair! I started with red highlights and then start dying it but you don't have to do that. I had dark copper hair in like three or four months and after that it got lighter very easily because the I changed the base colour. I hope this helps someone if you don't want to damage your hair or if your parents won't let you use bleach lol!
*P.S.* The girl's hair looks stunning I'm just making this comment because I was struggling with zero information on dying without bleach when I started dying my hair!
Loveeee this thank you fr the advice! My hair is dark brown and didn't thin I'd ever have light copper hair
What's the summer got to do with it? Your comment is confusing
Slap it on, rub it in leave for 30mins and wash out that's all I've ever done never had my hair professionally coloured it's too easy at home.
Easy peasy 👌
The bleach was not necessary. Loreal feria copper comes out just as vibrant over dark brunette. I know as Ive done it myself.
Shock Resistor I had used it previously on brunette hair and found for me it didn’t lift as much as I wanted it to, hence why this time around I stripped my hair and then used bleach 😊 it probably depends on what you are dying over as to how well it will take 😊
Oh my god. She’s so beautiful. She reminds me so much of that girl from game of thrones . The main character with the blonde hair . The queen of the dragon? Can’t remember her name . But she reminds me of her
Danaerys stormborn?
Danaerys Targaryen with Sansa Stark kissed hair Lol
Marianna
Yes that’s it . Really does .
Thank you everyone, what a lovely compliment! x
Love
kinda intense to see someone try to dye their hair with the color you have naturally 😂😂
luckyyy 😭😭
also hello fellow army lol 💜
Use bleach wash instead of straight in bleach much gentler in hair and it will lift darker hair or previous dyes nicely. Just leave it enough until your see your hair lighten to golden or brownish orange... Not yellow it's too much. For me 5 min was enough
Google User how do u do a bleach wash? i have brown hair and wanna lighten it
@@maryworrall Honestly if you're just going for a lighter brown or dirty blonde it's so much better to use just dye. It will obviously take a little more time but it's worth the wait since you won't damage your hair at all. I went from dark brown to auburn in pretty much one summer and to light copper in a few more months, so a lighter brown or dirty blonde should be very easy and quicker to achieve
izumi mei im just looking to go lighter as in like orange-y ish so i put a ginger box dye on lol
Should be the opposite dark up light down
It can go that colour of blonde, the application was terrible 😬 also you could have definitely stripped it more if you used a correct product or left it on longer. Also if you left the bleach on longer it would of done the job for you.
So I’m thinking about doing red hair from my naturally 4A curly, brown/black hair, and I’ve done a lot of research. What would’ve been best is to just buy a bleach packet or container and bleach it for maybe 3-10 minutes until you get to the red level. And if it’s too light, add a Demi color, too dark, then bleach slightly further. A box dye is TERRIBLE for your hair!!
You are adorable
The north remembers
😂 mother of dragons?
The red is nice but I think the brunette made look more sexy. The red just makes u look a bit nerdy 🤓 cute tho
Never ever put 40 vol on your hair it’s destroying it the most you should’ve put is 30vol. I get people want fast results but your hair will be falling out etc. Slow and steady wins race.
Ow should’ve bleach bath it would’ve strip the colour and better for hair as had shampoo in it
Reason why you should’ve done ends first as it takes longer to process. towards your roots is hot and process quicker. This is why people should never dye there hair at home if you don’t know what your doing see a hairdresser I should know I’m one ☺️
Thanks uploader you a thief or a settler? Lol
The ends won't lighten much?? You tripping??? You didn't cake it enough🤮
Love it! Looks absolutely gorgeous!
Little jin?
So beautiful
