girl put some vaseline around your hairline before you dye your hair! then wipe it off when your dye is on and it helps with preventing the staining on your skin :))
To keep your red vibrant use the permanent for your roots but a demi-permanent for your ends. I'm a cosmo student and can tell that your ends are darker than your roots. Permanent color is so saturated that it builds up over time the way over saturating layers of paint on a poster would result in a darker look. Demi's are sheer enough that they won't build up over time but opaque enough to give you the tone you want.

I actually am a natural ginger but your hair is absolute goals to me. My natural haircolour only looks like that in photos when I am standing in the exact right lighting. Indoors under less flattering lights my hair looks more dirty blonde/ light brown. I have considered actually dying my hair to get it to look more red but I am scared it will look less natural and I am not one to remember to touch up my roots... So yeah, if anyone has tips on how to make natural red hair a little more vibrant please let me know :D
Im also a redhead and im struggling with the same problem. My hair is turing brownish and is not as vibrant as it used to be when i was little. But I recommend cranberry juice. Rinse your hair with cranberry juice and leave it in for at least 30 minutes (the darker your hair, the longer you keep it in. The top limit is 1 hour.) Rinse it out with cold water
Research henna hair dye. They have natural red hair dyes that last for months, its definitely permanent. Especially since you already have red hair, it would enhance it. You could look into "light mountain henna red" or "light mountain henna light red "
A color depositing conditioner. That’s what I use when my hair looks meh in indoor lighting
Jessica you should try henna! That’s what I use on my hair because when I was using Wella colors the red faded sOoOo fast! It doesn’t bleed at all and is so good for your hair, no damage or anything! Natural henna isn’t what stylist says it is, and I make some videos on how to do it. I always recommend it to unnatural redheads lol

@@cupofcozy708 Typically you just add the henna to your hair. However be careful cause once you go henna, you cant just dye it another colour, you will typically have to grow it out. Lush carries henna bars and they work super well.

Have you tried Naturatint or Paul Mitchell hair products? I havent dyed my hair in forever but I'm going to soon and I think those are the vegan friendly one's. I have the same dirty blonde hair as you and I want to go back to red, so I'll let you know how the vegan friendly products work in case you want to try them :)
