I lost a childhood friend today to suicide. It crushes my heart to think that she thought she was alone in her struggles. This song is for you sweet Holly, may your soul rest now, with grace in your heart and flowers in your hair. 🌻😔
I am just seeing your comment, but God bless your heart. I am so sorry for the loss of your friend.
I hope she can live through you. I’m so sorry for your loss❤️
I was recently diagnosed with bipolar schizophrenia at 22 and Just recently got out of the hospital after 75 days. I thought my sanity was gone for good, but this song along with medicine and very good doctors pulled me out of the worst episode of my life. Now I can maintain a job and only occasionally have positive symptoms.
Good luck my friend. I hope things are going well for you.
You got this
Good luck William stay strong ...hold the line my friend.. no surrender
God bless you x
♥️
I lost my husband ten months ago today to inoperable cancer. Through all that time it has been as if he was talking to me, whenever I hear this song. Every verse, every word rings true. And now, ten months later, I am approaching that hill. Mourning and grieving haven't stopped, but the agony is easing, and I am finding the grace to look forward and see what my life can hold.
u will see him again
john 5.28 Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out
revelation 21.4 And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”
psalms 37.29 The righteous will possess the earth, And they will live forever on it.
isaiah 35.5 At that time the eyes of the blind will be opened, And the ears of the deaf will be unstopped. 6 At that time the lame will leap like the deer, And the tongue of the speechless will shout for joy. For waters will burst forth in the wilderness, And streams in the desert plain.
isaiah 65. 21 They will build houses and live in them, And they will plant vineyards and eat their fruitage. 22 They will not build for someone else to inhabit, Nor will they plant for others to eat. For the days of my people will be like the days of a tree, And the work of their hands my chosen ones will enjoy to the full.
isaiah 41.10 Do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be anxious, for I am your God. I will fortify you, yes, I will help you, I will really hold on to you with my right hand of righteousness.’
I'm right there with you...I lost mine Nov. 2019.
I am so sorry for your lost, but it's not the end of him, just know that he's there. And, I know that one day, you will see your husband again. Death, is just another door towards a wonderful world where everybody will go. Many blessings! And I send my Love vibrations to you.
Praying for you
Im Praying for better day ahead of you
Two years ago this song helped save my life. And I'm so glad I got over my hill, because now love dismisses my fears, and now I have grace in my heart and flowers in my hair. I am finally happy. It's worth fighting through, no matter how bad it feels at the moment.
I wish I had your optimism. My heart cant take any more
I was driving home from Oregon, to Georgia, where I had gone to get my son who was so sick, he couldn't fly home, my only child a young man so sick I wasn't sure he'd even make it home, he had been too embarrased to tell me he'd lost his job, and that he was failing physically, and failing out on his own at 19. I drove 3 days straight, it took 6 months to find he had intestinal cancer, I almost lost him a few times. He was healed of cancer with cannabis oil. He had 2 other life threatening illnesses, we are still dealing with... This is the song he wanted to hear all the way home
+Love Efx I'm not sure the situation now but, i hope you are well.
prayers for you both
thank you both
Continued Prayers
God bless your son that he might heal and become well that he Igbo suffer no more. I almost lost my children to a great accident when they were little. A miracle saved them. My grandfather though said the body I'd like a glove to the soul. God bless your son
this song brought me through a difficult time when I was getting a Divorce, I'm getting over the hill 3 year's later. And there are flowers in my hair!
plus if you have God's grace in your heart you can't go wrong x
Michelle Lara I am sure that you are doing great
That's where I am now. Such a long road before I'm through this. I just found this song.
I played this whole album many times during my divorce. It really spoke to the melancholy in my soul. Hope things are better for you!

I'm just gonna say; Mumford & Sons has been slowly getting me away from self harm and suicidal thoughts--they've saved me. I hope they can save everyone else who's lower than low, like I have been.
God I hope you are doing well today ❤
this song saved my life.
I hope you're still here with us friend
mine too

This too shall pass. Hope you’re still on this plane. Do good work and keep in touch

This song became my anthem in 2013 when I decided to live with and manage bipolar disorder
. I'm doing well, am happy and continue to move forward.
I just wanna hug everyone in this comment section❤😭

there will come a time you will see
You just made me cry my friend.
Ty🙏🏻❤️
🧡I swear I second this so much
And its the first video on CZcams I have seen with no hatetful comments. Thats the reverberation of the power in this song... ❤ and hope
I’m 27 now, and since this song came out in 2010, became my absolute favorite , is the anthem of my life. It describes all the mental battles and difficulties that I’ve been through, but I know that in the middle of the storm there’s always beauty, and hope, so I have to be strong and stay in this world. keep fighting people, everyday has a rose and a thorn, let’s appreciate more the roses.
Listening to it again during Covid-19 lockdown in South Africa.

This song makes my heart ache, in a good way. It gives me hope that things can get better.
I miss my wife
This was the song that she dedicated to me. We're separated now. It's only been 5 months, but God, it's felt like a year or more. All I do is pray... I will never throw in the towel.
Not in a good way..
I will look for you after the storm.
I remember listening to this song on repeat after my best friend took his life. He was everything to me and and then he was gone. This song was one of the few things that helped me get through the grieving process.

Stargate Universe had this song for a truly emotional episode. One of the characters was pregnant. During an attempt to take over the ship, she was shot. When she was out and people trying desperately to save her, she had what felt like a dream.
She got to hold her daughter in this dream, she was told by the people in it that she, her daughter, would be taken care of, saying it was the only way. They were cryptic on purpose cause they didn't want her go to into shock. And one of the last things she sees is a nebula in sky.
When she finally woke up, she survived, but her baby didn't.
Then this song starts playing.
She eventually gets the strength to leave the infirmary, everyone knows what happened to her. And then she walks out to the balcony area where she can see into the vastness of space. And what she sees fills her up with hope. Cause what she saw in the dream was a nebula, she never saw it before that dream, and emotion of that scene just intensifies with that song, cause now she understands what they meant, her daughter would be taken care of.
"no more tears" I was definitely crying.
I haven't seen that episode for a couple years and hearing this song reminds me of that deeply emotional moment, still makes me cry to this day.
It is a very powerful scene indeed..I remember it well. One of my favorite shows ever.
This is also how I met this song. Beautiful scene and beautiful show because it has so many incredible scenes like this one. Simple, human, emotional scenes
I just rewatched that episode for the first time in probably over 10 years. Incredibly beautiful scene. I started listening to Mumford and Sons a lot after that episode and they've got a bunch of really good songs but this one will always be my favourite.
I'm on a binge rewatch of Stargate which I do quite often (once a year or so), but I've not included Stargate Universe in a very very long time now so I thought why not and it's been the best part so far, Universe is a very different show but I can't rewatch it over and over like I can with SG1 and Atlantis, but when you do rewatch it after such a very long time it's actually really good again. Though when the show first aired I did watch every episode several times before the next came out because I just couldn't wait for the next. :P
...I mean damn that show was good! Still quite upsetting how they cancelled it far too early.. Imagine having several more seasons of this... :( I couldn't understand how people could be disappointed with the show, me and my brother both loved it, sure it's different but it's also amazing! Oh well, at least we got a second season, would've sucked to have it end after season 1 and miss this particular episode and having them step into those stasis pods at the end beats having it ended with that cliffhanger of season 1 finale which tbf is really well executed tbh.
Terrible shame that series was cancelled it had so much potential and was so well executed for what we did get.
I just finished that episode and it literally made me cry. I searched up this song, and here I stumbled upon your comment, 2 years later.

Man, I'm such a softy for songs like this.
so emotional and homely
I heard this song first on "Stargate:Universe". Looked it up from remembered lyrics online. So glad to find it here. Thanks to Mumford and Sons for writing it.
That scene was heartbreaking and beautiful at the same time
...I have Intervention (S2:E1) paused in another tab right now...great ears think alike.
@@somespeciesofpenguin and rewatching that scene and listening to this song, just makes me disappointed again that there's only 2 seasons.
This song and it’s lyrics can relate to SO many different struggles us humans go through. Mentally and physically. I relate thing song to loss whether death, relationships or sad change and my mental health is at its lowest. It’s artists like these who care to write good songs. Not for profit, not for the top 40 and not completely in self gratification that we should thank for giving us such powerful lyrics and songs to help emote our emotions and express just by listening and enjoying and sometimes crying- which is a good thing. Crying is healing. When you don’t cry and you’re numb and silent- that’s when to worry. Sorry for the lengthy message. Just thank you Mumford & Sons for creating this beauty 💜
"With grace in your heart and flowers in your hair." I love that line - so evocative and timeless...
This is probably the most powerfully tear jerking song I've ever heard. I cannot listen to it without welling up.
this song reminds me of how you should never give up hope. the world is horrible but you are strong enough to pull through. this band is great.
"And I will die alone and be left there
Well I guess I'll just go home or God knows where,
Because death is just so full and man so small,
Well I'm scared of what's behind and what's before."
....Wow...I'm speechless.
this album
The very first time a put my ears to it
im addictted to
indeed!
That was my first time & at the most perfect time- much needed so thank you, truly from this life that I call "me"
I think they just sing about that even though life sucks sometimes and you have the feeling that you're all alone and that you will never find your "one true love", there will come a better time. Everything will turn out to be good in the end and you just have to believe... they try to encourage you to try to go on with your life and believe that also you will have a good time and that better days will come.
We released Grandma to heaven today and stumbled upon this song the night before...perfect.
"with Grace in your Heart , and Flowers , in your hair " Just stunning Lyrics..
The way he says "but dismiss your fears" is beautiful. This song really gives me hope
I'm 36 and my head swells at my brain stem. I've suffered blunt force trauma from domestic violence. I have seizures now. No medical ins. So I dont know what's wrong with the swelling. And I've lost everything in my life. My kids. My everything. This song left me in tears. If it's my time..im alone. But I will crawl home and I will have flowers in my hair.
Those flowers should be beautiful red and white roses Melissa
@@ayanda1271 thank you
Good luck to you Melissa
Good luck. You deserve so much better than what you’ve gotten in life.
When the storm is upon us, this song makes pure sense ❤️
I just wanna hug Marcus 🥺 He spoke to me with this song
I can't describe the feelings that come with this song, so many memories...
A thousand 'thank you' are not enough.
this song addresses the dark side of life, but gives something to look forward to !!
"get over your hill, and see, what you find there" when you are in your twilight years, can you say you left this world a better place than how you found it, peace y'all
I can say I wanted to and that I tried But seems, looking around, we have all failed.
Tears ran down my face. I’ve always loved 1400 Irish ballads. So this hit home hard.
Wonderful band Mumford and Sons.
My boss at one of my old jobs told me to check this song out because it was in the movie Still Mine, and he loved the movie/song. It is beautiful. He was right.
Came here to check on this song after Lauren Jauregui included this in her playlist, and I loved it instantly! 👍

Man this was my teacher song until he died yesterday😪i really miss him so much he helped me thru alot and he picked me up when i was down, he helped me when i was struggling🙏🏻
If this was his song, Honor him by making good choices in life, and making him proud. You will never regret it, I promise you that.
These beautiful men can always uplift my spirits when I need it the most.
I can’t listen to this song without tears streaming down my face. It’s impossible. So good❤
good lord i'm depressed now. Yes, I know it's not supposed to be, but that man can write lyrics that grab you.

this song is so haunting and beautiful
I could listen to this song on repeat for the rest of my life and still love it. It resonates so well and is sung so beautifully.
What a profound song..One of those songs that just leaves your soul speechless..
Only hour or so ago I've had no idea to whom I'm listening. And now I'm completely lost, I fell in love and I feel there's no way out of it. But I don't wanna anyway. These pieces of art are so amazing I wanna cry. Oh my. I'm lost in perfection.
Im lost too.
Listening to this song helped me at my worst. when I felt all alone after he left me this reminded me that good things do come and I need to just soldier on and let myself see the world in a new lense
I've sobbed to this song so many times.
First heard this last week, a girl at camp played it for us and i had been having intense anxiety up until then and i haven't been able to forget this song, So beautiful and hopeful.
I lost my dad from cancer two months ago. Every time I hear this song, I remeber moments with him and cry... I really miss him! 🥲
Man, this band is my childhood. I had forgotten it for years and just recently my mom was playing songs in the car and Babel came on. I had forgotten all about it and I felt memories of my 6-year-old self listening to this in the car, running errands with my mom. So I've been listening to them a bunch now and I got so many memories. And even the songs I don't recognize are so good! This one was one that I remembered and loved when I was a kid. I didn't know what the lyrics meant or any of that but I loved it. And I still love it to this day.
This song plays in the movie, "Still Mine," with James Cromwell in a serious dramatic role. It's at a funeral and one can't help but get teary-eyed as Cromwell does as he's lost his best friend. The perfect song for that scene. BTW it's an excellent movie in its own right and worth seeing (most likely on Netflix or Amazon Prime).
What a wonderful movie, I just watched this and the song is beautiful
This and God only knows, are 2 of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard. My God, such beauty.

God Bless these men for they are Awakening so many of us and give us HOPE,oh how they are doing your work even though they may not know this.

Thank you, Mumford & Sons...
What a beautiful way to end this Album. I got Sigh No More during a kinda hard time in my life and I know it sounds corny, but I genuinely think this band helped me though it.
Like, I'm not gonna be all dramatic and say that it saved my life or anything but...it helped.
Just having someone say, "It'll be ok", helped.
Love Mumford and Sons sooo much! Fell in love with them years ago.
AFTER THE STORM MUMFORD AND SONS... SUPERB LYRICS BEAUTIFULLY SHARED WITH US THANKYOU!!!! 👍💞❤️💞♥️😘
I was sort of thinking about that, too. When it's all over, and all the, well, for lack of a better term, crap, we have to deal with in this world is over, and we're with the Lord forever, in our glorified bodies.
my heart gains strength hearing this and my mind begins to truly see, the thanks i offer is a paltry token in return but from my heart n soul my thanks mumfords and sons
Keep listening MiddleWiggin- this band has a way of making a person smile when at first you don't feel like it. If you really want to smile, watch some of their interviews- they are hilarious! A good reminder not to take ourselves too seriously!
Listening to this on repeat. My favourite ever
Eve is it still your favorite
yessss!
Eve good it's my favorite too lol
2021 and This song is helping me after being dumped by the love of my life. I hope there might actually be some good moments waiiting for me „over my hill”
He keeps saying he won't rot and he speaks of spiritually dying alone.... but I feel like he learned something about himself just as he was writing this song. He wants to hold. Hold on to all he had. He was rooted into this women. But scared of what's behind and what's before. He trying to pick this women up and bring himself up as well. I really like this song.. it has a lot of meaning if you really get in tune with it.
Thank you for posting this, Mumford & Sons [Lyric Channel]! 😀
I don't know what just happened but while listening to this I had an intense feeling of pain for a really great time in my life where love got me to this better place. I am grateful of that time but I worry if I'll ever find something like it again, its hard to let go and this song speaks to my soul. Its been 6 long years since she flew back to Canada. She left me these songs like she knew they would be all thats left of her in me.
I have this dream, that the story, the book I'm writing on will someday be a film. It is a story with great meaning to me and I think I can proudly say that writing this story changes my way of thinking about the world, about humans. About important and not importang things. I think it helps me becoming a better human, who tries to make a better living.
If my dream comes true, many others may think about the story and they may overthink some things, too. I hope, they will be touched by the words, by the charakters and by the story I created, of course. And they hopefully will hear this song as an ending soundtrack, because it perfectly fits to the scene I first could barely imagine.
Thank you, Mumford and Sons for inspiring me to a great story (at least I hope that it'll turn out as a great story) with an ending, which is the reason that i literally cried when I wrote it. I listened to this song over and over again while writing and it really helped me to write the end with every word coming from my heart and my soul.
This is music that I can feel. Just the right music I need while i write. Thanks again for inspiring me.
PS.: If there are any mistakes in this comment, please correct me. I'm still learning english. But I really had to write this down and to let you know, what your perfect music can do to me. Besides, there are other songs from you on my playlist with inspiring songs, too, but this one is the one with most meaning to me. :)
All the sigh no more songs are so touching emotionally and I love them for it
Lovely song... Made with heart and truth
Beautiful song I needed this today ❤
Our children are everything. Bless you and your son, and keep your beautiful spirit always. Love Efx 💕🙏
What's positive about it is up to interpretation. I, for example, think the song means that one day we will overcome the fears and struggles of our life's past. That life is a hill, just waiting to be climbed.
I just heard it in the movie "Still Mine" What a song!!!!
Popi Koukaki What a movie...damn, not the usual bs...great song, perfect for the soundtrack.
This is a truly amazing song... when this is true... its the lasting love of a lifetime. The metaphors used are simply incredible... this song leaves me speechless.
this song is so important
‘Our’ story wasn’t supposed to have this end....I’ll always long to see that bright eyed, breathtaking face that used to stop my heart and light up my world...
I adore this. Thank you for the lyrics 🙏🏼💜
2020 and still rings true. 🔔
This song is absolutely beautiful. Thank you God for blessing them with such talent xx
Often as I walk along. I say to myself. " God is always with me.. He shineth his light upon me. I will not fear the darkness of nite or the perils of day...For HE is with me my power and strength.. Yea through I walk thru the valley of death .. I fear no evil... Thou art with me. My Love... My
Love.. 💜
Song got me through some tough times and now in a better situation this song makes me so happy.
Who is here July 2024 and STILL come back to this song when hard times come?
it means that it is inevitable that we will die and that so many people have died compared to those that remain alive.. it is saying that life is almost futile and that we can't fight death because it is always there, waiting...... that we are so brief in life compared to the eternity in which we are dead....
This song is so powerful
I first heard this song in a movie entitled “Still Mine”.
I miss original music
There will come a time, you’ll see, With no more tears And love will not break your heart, But dismiss your fears...
I am addicted to these guys! I believe they sing of the Lord. I coyld be wrong, but I love their musical arrangements in their songs! They have talent unsurpassed by any other band out there. I can't listen to other bands now and get the same uforia I get from Mumford & Sons....
up to this day i don't really know how many times i have listened to this song and cried..... and still waiting for that time
I pray that time did come around for you, my friend. ❤️ I felt your comment to my core.
Thank you m'dear! They really do. Oh goodness, I love their interviews. They really are hilarious! True that :)
This song is so powerful, I feel many emotions during listening to it.
This one makes me cry
This song was playing when I rolled my car on the night of prom. I started to tear up the next morning when I realized it, such a beautiful song.
