- How to get more book reviews is something every author asks at some point in their author marketing journey. Besides just begging people to write more reviews, which sadly is one of the most effective ways to get reviews, you can use some paid and free sites to help you get more editorial and customer reviews for your book. Very nice set of suggestions. I think I have tried almost everything in this video but you did not mention something from your book Self Promote and Succeed that has worked the best for me. You gave suggestions for exactly how to word requests for reviews. Whenever anyone in any way says something positive about my book I respond using your suggested ways of asking for reviews. Copy and paste. By far the most successful thing I have done to get reviews. I was stuck in the low 40s and now have over 80 reviews on Amazon. Inspired by that part of your book I now have a rule of NEVER missing a chance to ask for a review. Hard work but effective!

Thank you for posting this. The hardest thing, even beyond all the writing and marketing is, in my opinion, getting reviews. I will be using these and others. For example, I also ask the podcasters that I am a guest on, for a comment I can use in my marketing. When they ask for, or I just send them a book, I ask them for a review also.
