I'm pretty sure we can blame Blender Guru for the fact that at least half of the people who use Blender call a single vertex a "vertice." 🤦
(great fun and fast tutorial, by the way. 👍)
😂😂😂
This video legitimately helped me so much with figuring out some of the basics to make my complex shaped objects work
a very well thought out beginner tutorial -- great choice of model!
Fantastic! I am not exaggerating when I say, I plan to watch every video you've made
Absolutely wonderful ! Thank you Mr Bailey
Thanks so much this is one of the most helpful videos I've ever watched, you actually get to the point.
I finished the tutorial. Thank you for the video. Felt good about myself that I was able to complete this
Loved the pacing of the video. I feel like most tutorials series I would have to watch a few hours worth of videos to learn what I learnt in this 20 minute video.
I learned a lot of helpful things from this, thanks for making this tutorial.
Even if it's in the the paid version of the tutorial, for this free version I might recommend making at least a quick mention of how one may want to use edge loops for the subdiv for any beginners watching in case that's a question that pops into their head (I still consider myself a beginner but a friend informed me about edge loops).
This is awesome, I am barely getting started after 200 hours on blender, but Great tutorial to follow!
thanks for the tut i love this, easy to understand and follow
Ooh, I liked this one! I'd love to see a more advanced version where you take this and start pushing it towards being more complex/screen accurate. Great job.
Great idea!
Amazing tutorial. Thanks you!
Great Video. This explained what I was doing wrong. Also, my modeling should go faster. Thanks again
Beautiful nicely explained
Brilliant as always, thanks.
thanks so much i love star wars and this tutorial was great!!!
Very good tutorial! 🙂🙂🙂
Thank you so much man!!!
at 5:00 After bevel for selecting those faces, you may select it with pressing Ctrl command for shortest path..
Edge Loop select on a Mac: make sure to select the Command/OS-Key for emulating a 3 Button mouse. Selecting the Alt key disables Edge Loop Selection. ;-)
When I hold down alt, nothing happens when trying to select loops..
dont know how, but I could only get the mirror to work properly by mirroring the Z Axis. Which then moves the object on the Y axis just like the tutorial. Not sure where I deviated from the tutorial to create this variance, but it works for me so whateves, lol!
Best video!
amazing
So Good!!!!!
Super...want more plz
my viewport and colors always look horrible compared to you guys. I would love some setup tips for viewport
if anyone else had an issue with the Bevel mod not working you should turn off "Clamp Overlap". If there is a better way to do this please let me know.
What would be a reason why grid fill isn't working on the wing?
Hey I hit a road block I can't figure out. I have my wing selected but when I hit bevel it doesnt change the wing at all. No many how many settings I change in the bevel menu it does nothing to how the wing appears
Loving this tutorial! I’ve got a background in Maya and Rhino, but wanted to add a feather to my cap and have recently started playing around with Blender 🤓
Worked great till the wing plane duplication. Tried to follow your keystrokes about ten times without ever getting the right results. Gave up and rotated the duplicate by entering 180 in rotation.Wing panels absolutely refused to merge. Gave up. Still learned a lot of useful stuff, though, thanks.
Why do you not have a second plane in your ViewLayer when you duplicate it? A lot of my stuff just doesn't behave like yours from that point in the video.
I love your videos dude but please can you try combine all or most of this tutorial in a single video? i mean it would really be helpfull. Thanks
Just experiment that's how I learned some of Blender
The mirror thing you did at 18:18 doesn't work at all for me. It's all flipped and ugly
had to put mine on the z axis instead for the wing mirror to get that result but dont know why. but finished the video it was good thank you the y just moved the wing from side to side sorta like just grabbing it i played around and moved it on the z and then when it was apart sorta put it back on the y just went back to place together almost as one piece.
same here
Same
same bro
Yep, same here. I'm on 4.2. You guys?
better than the donut video ngl
don't do shade smooth part in 6:56, it will ruin your model and make unwanted sharp i added shade smooth by sharp 'after finish model'
WOW! Eh! I waited!!!)
In my opinion you explain better than blender guru.
(I didn't understand a thing of him)
yes. this tutorial is 100000 times better. Guru makes it seem so difficult lol
everythign falls apart for me at 18:32 I add the mirror hit g y and doesn't do anything but move my whole object
I mirrored on the z axis and it worked. Don't know why I cant get same results as you
@@MYBB90 FOr me even the Z-Axis isn't working. Have you got the solution yet?
❤
The last part is very confusing I still don't get it
The beveling doesnt work for me.
It makes some of the edges become triangles instead of paralel to eachother
Same here! Did you find a solution?
@@Rene2Shae nope
why is my model covered with cyan lines
same here and my viewport looks odd
In the beginning I'm listening you like Andrew Kramer 😂
I couldnt complete the Guru's chair tutorial because it was too long and boring and too much talking. Your tutorial is PERFECT. SO MUCH TIPS. So well structured. So logical. Thank you!
So true. Even though I finished the chair, I was getting frustrated a lot of time along the way because he keeps clicking and doing things without explanation, so I had to slowly replay whenever it occurs. In his defense, the chair tutorial was 4 years ago and his very recent donut tutorial was much more easier to follow as a complete beginner.
I like it when its a beginners modelling tutorial but love it when its related to starwars😇😇😇
Did you know i named the file 'spaceship.blend' 🤒🤒🤒
