@@ApocratesDexter don't think you have a lap counter on your screen like in the sim. Usually you would at least get notified of the final lap.

I think this video is missing a very important detail about this incident.
The checkered flag was waved to the driver and the driver is expected to see it and act accordingly to it but the problem is for some reason the FIA have a light panel just before the line so that panel actually makes it harder for the drivers to even see if a flag is being waved. It’s the teams fault and the FIA are stupid and unfair for this penalty.
I hate the current FIA so much. They don't own up to their mistakes and punish others for it. To me their stupidity could have killed 2 drivers

The reason why this happened to her is because the team didn't countdown the number of laps and the FIA put that light panel there. Both of these made this happen not her.
True stupid procedure and stupid rule. Seconds off a completed race? That's like taking points from an nba game after shooting one more shot after the game ends. Super stupid rule.
@@kennygaming208 Of course it matters what they do after the race. It's still a "live" racetrack, the danger doesn't suddenly disappear just because someone crossed the finish line. The rule is most likely there because a backmarker crossing the finish line probably wouldn't expect someone coming full force from behind -> potential safety hazard. The team was supposed to tell her, they didn't, a rule was broken, penalty, that's it they have to be consistent to what it says in the rulebook
You can't compare motorsport safety rules to other sports as in other sports you don't run the risk of people crashing into you at 300+ km/h.

The team never mentioned to her that it's the last lap and that she's leading? Nobody conted the laps with her throughout the race? "Three laps to go... Two laps to go... Final lap... Final corner... Keep it up you have the race in the bag." Something like this? They never congratulated her on her win? Thats some wierd teamwork in progress.
Yes I agree. Everyone would erupt into cheer when you just won the F1 RACE and that's all anyone would be talking about.

Both are at fault. The race team should have been paying attention to the driver, and the driver should have been paying attention to the flags

She might haven't seen the flag but the team is supposed to confirm her position and tell her thats the flag right there.
The teams fault, and the person waiving the flag BEHIND an object that completely obstructed the view of that flag at such a high speed. This was an underserved loss and she needs to be compensated with her win and points back.

It’s her fault. The flag system is the fastest way to get messages to drivers. That’s why they use it.. The first things you learn in racing academy is pay attention to flags

It’s not F1. It’s F1 Academy using Formula 3 cars from junior series. It’s an entirely different can of beans, it’s much slower than actual F1 cars and it’s just a support race before the main F1 event. Please stop getting attention by saying that it’s an F1 race.
