Somehow I got to your video late, after watching a bunch of other nonsense that didn't work (on my 2014 fiat 500 sport). If I could give you 10 thumbs up for your solution I would. Maybe it was the word "lift-gate" that threw off the search algorithm. Tailgate, trunk latch, boot... just sayin' that's what I searched. The world of fiat drivers and DIYers needs to see this!! It was absolutely brilliant and simple, so thanks a million for that. Now I just need to figure out what's happening with my trunk latch electronics. Thanks again!
Hi John, was it difficult to remove the lock mechanism. I think mine might be bad and causing my problem. Just wondering if there is any trick to getting it out or if I need a mechanic to do it.
