The most mind-blowing thing is that the chance that there are multiple universes is very high and that the dark energy accelerating the expansion of the universe is potentially a force acting upon our universe by other universes much like gravity acts on bodies of mass.
When you examine things at the microscopic scale, it becomes increasingly complex with many different interacting systems that, together, create our macro experience. Logic dictates that the same occurs moving upwards. Our universe is likely just some microscopic system in a much, much larger system.

A galaxy collision would probably be look like a big splash, none of the stars will hit each other, though. The distance between them are too far. We'll probably have people on Mars by 2040 if we're lucky. If we are not, I'd say 2060. I absolutely know we'll have people on Mars by 2100.

I would kill for a modded Stellaris RP game. I feel like it's the perfect paradox game for that sort of thing since everyone has a relatively equal start compared to the historical games that have to match some kind of historical context. I hope Tommy can find some love for maps in space later because it brought me and many others into the paradox gamester fold. But if you just play the game in terms of making the technically best decisions it can get boring quick like ck3.
