"You can't just make a video where you scroll through pictures of gorillas on google images for 2.5 minutes and get a 471:1 like-dislike ratio" Modern Music of the Dark Ages: *Yes but what if we did it while listening to Feel Good Inc.*
To anyone with musical knowledge, I've always wondered this, and I think it's relevant in historical music, but what is a "Tri-tone"? (I can guess it's three notes, but I know nothing else about it.)
Well let me explain. It’s actually not called tritone because it exists of 3 notes. A tritone is the Intervall from one tone to another with 6 halftone steps from the first note to the second which produces a more dissonant-like sound. For example F to B. It’s called *tritone* because you can divide those 6 half note steps into *three* pairs of two half notes: *three* whole notes. A tritone! I hope this may have helped :)
@@modernmusicofthedarkages296 thanks for the explanation. This sounds very simple 🙂 so is the issue more related to when those two notes are played together or when the actual interval (from F to B or vice versa) is played?

@@C4pt41nN3m0 indeed. You should watch Daniel Thrashers sketch “when you play a tritone in medieval times” on CZcams, it’s very funny and accurate
It was known as "the devil's chord" for a long time and it was a forbidden chord.
