Disagreed. Landlords are not evil, scary or spooky. Some may be bad but they aren't all bad and a lot of people wouldn't even have homes without landlords.
Can Stanley please try getting rich from the present pile from Seasons? If only one person uses it, it has a cool down and you can reuse it forever and some gifts are worth thousands of simoleons and others are just coal. Idk might be fun. Who else wants to see this? Love you Kayla!

Extension to this: Stanley’s parents started out poor and built their way to money, so Stanley’s inspired by his parents to do all of these get rich quick schemes but he doesn’t really need the money😂(I honestly want to write an entire backstory for Stanley😃)

City Living has those gold and silver moving statues, and when you tip them you unlock the outfit and can “busk for tips” I think Stanley should try to get rich from that!

What if you built a really nice house on a lot for Stanley. Then made all the doors access for Stanley only... And created a dorm wing with bathroom etc for the room mates. If you have a high enough research and debate skill you can convince roommates into staying. I also think it's slightly bugged cause my house was nice and everything but they still want to leave due to issues. I have yet to try it out with the convince to stay.
I just cheat their needs
They leave because the AI lets their needs get too low and they blame it on the house. I HAVE tried the "convince to stay" but I've only had a few chances and I'm not sure if it's bugged, but it's never worked. But if you go to work every day their needs reset!

Any time I see a meme that's critical of landlords, it's accompanied by a ton of conservatives scuttling out to whine about how mean it is to be anything but grateful to people who are kind enough to let you live in a house as long as you don't kick up too much of a stink about expecting it to be in decent condition. And all they ask in return is, in many cases, the majority of your income!

@@sarahlamotte7920 Good landlords are doing important work - I'm grateful to have found a good one. But you only need to have had one bad landlord to enjoy watching Stanley suffer.
Stanley fixing the toilet is more than my old landlord did - she ignored every repair request, including when the pipes in our bathroom froze. I got so desperate I called our downstair's neighbors' landlord instead, and said I'm so sorry to bother you, but your property will get flooded if this doesn't get fixed soon. I think he knew where our landlord lived, after that call she actually sent someone for once.

Kayla saying "daddy's money" implies that Stanley is from a very wealthy household, is still in contact with at least his father, and has a good relationship with him. This then means that Stanley is willing by his choice going out and subjecting himself to the harsh conditions of poverty to test how he can easily get rich himself with minimal effort
after “For Rent” being announced, going back and watching older videos and seeing the foreshadowing is just so funny to me

I like to think the reason Stanley is broke all the time is because he constantly commits tax evasion and gets caught and all his money is taken and he doesn’t have a consistent story because in between episodes he serves brief prison stints that his rich dad has to get him out of

you know how you get items for having gold level parties/dates? well you could sell them and see if you can get rich off of dates
Incredible, Stanley has now been a landlord twice!
Here’s my logic from this little play through: get yourself one of those $11-$15,000 houses but add a bed. Then you get yourself a roommate, the roommate pays half of the rent, and while you’re saving you just keep extending on the house. From what I understand each time you make the house of greater value they’re going to still pay that same percentage but nobody says you have to allow them access to the full house. If you give the roommate the base in essentials. If they start complaining about price or rent get or add another roommate it will cut their rent down.
Stanley could’ve just as easily had a regular job and a relationship and kids while having all these roommates and they all would’ve paid a percentage of the lots value and he would’ve had to do anything outside of advancing his career which ultimately would bring more money into his life and advancing his relationships with it which would ultimately add onto his generations.
So- in some ways this is a bit of a lucrative idea.
In case you were unsure or wondering there can be apparently up to 10 Sims in a singular household 8 playable ones and 2 roommates.
I tried this with the roommate mod from littlemssam and I locked the roommates out of the main living area by selecting "only household" but I can't allow guests into the house either. 🙃 I don't know this would be an issue with the sims version of roommates.

Please Kayla combine a museum of all "get rich quick" tries with a tier / ranking list.
The museum could have 2 basements, a story on ground level and two levels above.
For each "get rich quick" sceme, there is an ornament like the cupcake machine, a wishing well, a knittin set, veding machine,...
The better a sceme is, the higher up is the artifact placed in the museum.
And after each new "get rich quick" challenge, you could place another representative object in the museum.
We would all love to see that. Stanleys actions deserve to be remembered.

I love maintaining roommates in my households. Love watching them do whatever in my lot and interact with them for social and even love needs then get regularly paid rents.
Same but I do it with my families, I just watch the sims wander around the house at 2 in the morning
I actually use the roommate system a lot for spouses/partners and previous generation sims I don't want to deal with controlling any more.
Now once more, but this time for real...
I too miss being able to own multiple properties. I used to own all of the properties in Sims 3 with my main save for all the packs I had. There's still so much I haven't done in Sims 3 and I've played it for 10 years. My Sims stuff was inaccessible to me because my Origin account was attached to a work email of my dad's and he had switched jobs. I was probably 13 when I started playing Sims. I didn't know my password and couldn't recover it and EA needed to know way too specific details to verify it was my account. I only rebought a fraction of what I had previously. I finally got Sims 4 this summer. It's been great watching your videos. Stanley is the best hot dog I've ever met.
