I think it’s because they’re thinking “oh it’s gonna be a big responsibility, another bill” etc. And they’re not wrong, but then they realize there’s a big emotional and bonding factor that makes it all worth it lmao

@@Penguins_dingodingus there's a new way to do it with this pack. you can use the "snoop" interaction, the "pry for secrets" interaction, or I believe the "eavesdrop" interaction and then blackmail them for 100 simoleons per secret.

But he got bored so he decided to use it for continuing his usual spiel.

I could be wrong but I think she’s done this in the past. It would be at least a year ago but I think I remember her doing one because cross stitching was the least profitable and I believe gardening was the most. But I may be thinking of James Turner because I know he’s done one
If call me Kevin doesn’t make a cult compound with this pack and have all of his court members living on a big lot with him or renting rooms in his basement I will be very disappointed 😂

I wonder if the game takes in consideration what kind of interests potential tenants have vs what kind of activities items there are in the unit.
I thought about that stuff a lot, like there are no many packs and none of them work together. But I can imagine that maybe since everyone hated my first pet stuff since it was in parts an Expansion for an Expansion, they don't want to Add "bigger" Features like this anymore because it just causes backlash
@@mariealba4158 they have to be individual experiences so players don't feel cheated if they don't have everything but also satisfy the ones who do buy everything. They very clearly have a model designed to make money not make the best product worth the price.
@@mariealba4158 cross pack compatibility is not the same as a pack almost entirely dependent on an expansion, my first pet was just c&d's right arm cut off and sold separately. Having an expansion that integrates other expansions to some degree is fine, like the pet adoption event here, and it helps make the game feel more cohesive
In real life there are plenty opportunities to rent a fully furnished apartment. At least where live anyway.

I'm not sure what happened because the tenants are supposed to pay rent and I've seen that happen in two other videos. It seems to take a week though so I THINK the problem is shorter tenancy causes a glitch where your Sim just never gets paid even if the tenants remain the same. Which is annoying because this means you can't use this system to fake the Hotel Challenge. I mean you could but there's no point because you still have to use simoleon cheats to simulate the payment process.
You could try to and see if you have the glitch. James Turner did the hotel thing and got paid during Week 2 (I think Tuesday or Wednesday).
And I've seen others get paid on week 2 Wednesday too.
@@moonlitxangel5771 Right, I saw that which is why I made that comment. I didn't do the math but I don't think he got paid at all for the tenants when they were on that shorter cycle (just a day or three) and later on he switched it to a longer cycle and it worked which is why he got paid on the second week (by default a Sim season lasts for one week so I think that could be why.) I don't have the pack to check in my own game, sorry.

One thing I haven't seen anyone really address is that Sims can be overdue on rent, and the popup for rent mentions the amount doesn't include Sims who are overdue. Is this possibly the reason? I don't play myself so can't check.

The irony that the FOR RENT pack lacks the ability for tenants to PAY RENT is poetic really... Sims 4 is a crazy game that we continue to pay for hahahahahaha.
Also I no longer buy packs that aren't at least 25% off. I like the idea of this pack for sure but way to expensive for what you get in my opinion.
i just get all my packs on instant gaming or cdkeys, this way instead of paying 40 dollars for an expansion pack i spend 15 dollars lmao
I don’t think it’s a bug, I think it just doesn’t actually get paid out daily. I think you don’t get paid until a week has elapsed.
Yea I think I saw that in James Charles’s video but in this one Simsie played a full week and didn’t get paid rent? Also I saw some simmers who set a shorter lease length and still didn’t get paid… Idk I don’t think it was thought through enough by the developers lol
From what I've seen from other simmers it's paid once a week, but sometimes the tennants go past the due date and as a landlord you have to demand your money
I’m playing it, doesn’t look like my sim is getting paid accurately. He got paid but he got his daily payment after a whole week. Idk what happened to the 6 other days. He also doesn’t have the option to demand rent, as if every tenant has paid properly. Idk.
If you take pictures with other sims and then gift them the pictures, that seems to help the relationship bar.
I tried this in a save last night and one of the magic sages (Simeon) did not like the gift/photo, it made our relationship go down. I just had to laugh. It worked with Morgyn.

I think on James Turner‘s video, he paid bills on Monday and got paid all of his back rent on the following Wednesday. I wonder if you just didn’t wait long enough. At any rate, it’s way too confusing, and I wish the Sims team would clarify when you were supposed to get paid
OK I just tested myself. I had Vald but some rental property and then hibernate so I could fast forward time. You do indeed get paid on Wednesday. However, it doesn’t seem to happen on the first Wednesday. Additionally, If your bills come on a date, other than Monday, it may simply be two days after that day. This is still very confusing. It’s not at all intuitive that you go a full week before you get your first round of rent checks.
Would you say it's better to have tenants rent the units for less days? Like a 1 night stay vs a week
@xykarijehywat0814 I haven’t done any testing, but I don’t think it would make any difference as to when the rent was paid, because James was doing one day leases, and also got paid on Wednesday. It would, however, allow you to evict people without penalty and improve the unit, assuming that the justly evict function is working as it should., Again, I haven’t tested
@@flawed1 yeah I noticed he didn't really have the issue of getting paid but I saw her trying to pay bills with leases set for a week and thought not gonna happen how you think lol that's for the info 😄
If you want to make a unit bigger you have to justly evict during the grace period and then build when there are no tenants. Then after you upgrade it you can get a new tenant and your rating will increase!
Assuming you can afford to improve the property 😂

What I'm most interested in is if you have villainy degree, will it let you raise rent without losing rating? Because that would be the absolute best idea ever.
