There are balls missing in the ball bearing otherwise you can not insert the three shafts. And you have to make another three if the bearing is another size with different size balls.

      Dear Boris
Bearing have a cage for balls I remove it because it was damaged and the ball was not missing. But the cage is not problem for use this way.
And other size of bearing need other size three shafts. I want to show a way for pulling bearings 😉 I think it's one of the best

No, the bearing cage has failed, only about 7 percent of bearing failure is caused by the result of this problem, most bearings are making so much noise (saying rI need to be replaced) by this point you replace them.

This brings back memories. Going back some 47 years. Lol
I needed to replace a countershaft bearing on a 15 spd road ranger transmission. Then came up with this idea just using hand tools and some threaded rod (all thread). Flattened the rod on the end to the width of the gap in the bearing and shaped the end like the profile of the ball with a file. cut the cage with a small cold chisel pushed the cage back for clearance. I only ever used two rods and my steering wheel puller. Although i have only used this idea a handful of times it has saved me a ton of work.

In my world the hardest type of bearings come in many ball sizes, have rollers, have riveted cages and are on shafts longer than 100mm
Other than that.. a really good twist on a multi hundred year old tool, the basic workshop puller... I'll put that idea in the back of my head.. it actually may come in handy.

But just about all blind bearings I’ve come across in decades of the job can be removed with a chisel hammer grinder and a stick welder.First one you can slice the shells we the grinder then chisel them open. Second one you can smash the inner race out we hammer an chisel then run a weld round the outer race ,shrinking it ,lever it oot if it hadn’t fallen oot. But nice work on the tool💁‍♂️👍

I like that you did not need to destroy one tool to mske another. I am usually not afforded the time to make such a tool unless the customer wanted to save the bearing. They might save it due the time it would take to receive a new one. My overlords would have me remove the outer race and bearings. Heat up or cut the inner race to about 0.100" , then split with a chisel. Depending on the fit , we would use induction heater or a thermal oil bath to install a new one

Wut ever works, but I stick with standard methods. Bearing splitter/heat, if needed. Always works for me. Yer gonna get a new bearing anyways, so if the outside is destroyed haha. It makes it alot easier for a good quality bearing splitter to grab onto. Usually they have standard threaded holes to attach a puller onto. For those that don't have a press. Oh, they do have a tapered edge, where upon tightening the splitter would already start the removal process. Uh-hum, for those that are gonna re-use. LOL!

I could see your purpose driven however how did you get the balls out of the race to begin with anybody else agree or is there an element of this that's not reciprocating with many years of doing
