I don’t care who he votes for but I feel sorry for the guy, his family and the people who witnessed it as it would be a traumatic thing to witness. He’s obviously someone who really needed mental health help. Because self immolation has got to be a horrific way to go, as he is unlikely to survive his level and percentage of his body that was burned, makes surviving it very difficult, the poor bugger. Also I really think it’s awful for people to be making jokes about it, I mean I don’t agree with his politics but I think he is still someone’s loved one. Now, a typical stay is for a few weeks or months for people to get stable and sort out meds and then they continue outpatient treatment/therapy when they leave. The thing is though, nobody can force anybody to seek help unless they are suicidal or homicidal, and even then, those people can only be held against their will for 72 hours. So the main issue is that a lot of people with issues refuse to believe they have issues and so they refuse to get help
