so sense not much happened storywise, i will say for some characters you need alot of their affinity charts done, hareld takes a while as well, best hing is to check and see what they need to unlock the keys and also try to work on multiple blades at once as it will speed things up, a trick you can do is to give rex someones personal blade (like dromarch or pandoria) this will let them have 3 other blades sense none of the story blades will have blade quests, every blade (and character) has favorate pouch items, if you have an areas development upto 5, you can do a trick where you get a ton of money from salvaging at mor ardain, then go to a dev lvl 5 area and buy all the cylinders there, then take them to an area that isnt lvl 5 and sell them, you get a full refund and that areas dev will jump up and you can max, then you can spend that money on pouchitems, then just put them in the pouch over and over, you get quick trust points, even more if they like the item and the game will keep track if you find their favorite items those some have different items and types, this is a bit faster then making love source as you have to hike for that fluttergrass everytime, also if the charts require you to use their specials or to max out affinity, a safe way i have found to do this is to go to gormot gate, drop your team to one person, and give them a pouch item that give specials recharge, then attack the driver at the torrigoth gate, let your specials bar just charge up until you get the leve you need then unleash it, at this point he cant do anything to you so no danger of losing, then just fast travel to the gate and he will respawn, i know there are better trick but this is the one i use to get poppybuster without having to keep track of other blades, also dunno if you have done it yet as i dont remember, back on at argentum there is a nopon who will sell you a warehouse for alot of money, DO NOT pay him, you can just into the sea to the side and there will be a little ramp, you pick the lock and you will get the warehouse for free, this is needed for 3 blade quests
For the Love Source ice ramp, jumping gimps you, just holding forward lands you almost at the top. I'm glad you picked the best option for the hot springs heart-to-heart.
Just some explanations: - Vale’s heart to heart makes sense when you realise one of her field skills is “Girls’ Talk”, which is also present on Mythra. Once you do Kora’s quest in Tantal, you’ll see which blade have said skill. - Herald is an interesting character. Combat-wise, she’s a glass cannon that can dish out electric ether damage or so, character-wise, you see she has lore-wise dangerous power, and she even says in her awakening hoping you can contain/control her power, you even see her crystal was hidden for a reason. - Brighid’s heart to heart with Poppi poses some interesting topics. Especially when you learn that drivers have a lot of influence on their blades even if they’re passed down from one driver to the next. You learn that with Praxis as well. You even wonder whether Brighid was THAT much the same back 500 years when she was buddies with Lora and Addam. - Kassandra’s blade quest in Torigoth will pretty much explain what’s with her, luck and that creepy mask in her awakening animation. - 16:05 weeeeelllll, early chapter 4 sort of tells you - If you have Custom difficulty available, I used it a lot to grind Land of Challenge for Noponstone to get alternate costumes for the main party. Don’t know if it’s the most recommended for Noponstone grinding, but I did the ‘Torna’s finest’ with Tora and Rex so they could keep Driver combo-ing. - Once you awaken Theory, the two have a quest in Fonsa Myma, it aint’ much, but it’s a good conclusion for them. - And you’ll soon learn as to why Fan/Haze didn’t even revert into a crystal state
I swear the blade system is cruel with the memory loss, being tied to another person’s life, and being treated more as a resource than an individual. That being said it’s those struggles that also give so much character to these heart to hearts and blade quests. God I love this game
With regard to the memory loss bit, it's the same as the innate human fear of being forgotten. Films like Coco were based on it as well, and it's present throughout writing across time. Using the mechanics of Blades to make it super obvious really just drives that point home. Being tied to the life of another is another way the mechanics drive home a point, since Blades are tied to humans until they become Titans, then the humans are tied to Titans. It's why Mor Ardain was designed to show how humans can lead to their own demise by killing the Titan on which they live. The entire thrust of the game is anchored to those two main points: (1) That true death is being forgotten, and (2) that disrespect for the ground beneath our feet will ultimately lead to our own undoing.
Am I the only one who thinks that this sounds like pc reformatting. Like for example if you reformat the pc it lose all its data; basically dying and coming back and acting like a new pc even though it has the same body. The same thing kinda happens with blades. I just sayin’.

Herald, like most blades can be bonded with any driver with the exception of Tora. So usually any of them can participate in that heart to heart, they'll just have dialogue more among the lines of what the character would say while still going through the same conversation, you having her on Zeke and him talking to his father in that Hth was a happy coincidence. 27:25 Goddamn! 30:28 Not to metion the most powerful artificial blade in existance.
Praxis and Theory's side quests made them my favorite non-story blades. Like if there were any blades I'd like to have if I was a driver it'd be them. I also make sure to put them on the same driver (which was Morag) so that they're never apart again and we don't have to deal with another heart breaking situation like this.
I adore Praxis and Theory’s dynamics and quest lines. Though… I always struggle with the quest line boss fight due to spike damage… anyway, always love to see you put out more Xenoblade. Always a treat.
@@Jetbladewarrior if you take Pandy off slot one you can move her onto rex, freeing up a slot on Zeke. Same can be done with Brighid, makes the party more customizable outside ng+. So i had Herald as Zeke's only Elec Blade

The Xenoblade games managed to get me (close) to tears according to their "numbers". XC1 at the end of the main story (DLC story is kind of meh), XC2 twice (at the end of the MSQ and at the end of Torna), and XC3 thrice (at a certain plot twist, end of MSQ, and end of Future redeemed) ^^;
I wish more basic Blades had interconnected quests like Theory and Praxis. There's only one other one I can think of, and from what I remember it's a good one as well.
If you think 2 is an emotional Rollercoaster oh Boi you haven't seen emotional till you play 3. It's such a serious story but it does have some funny moments. Also a heads up when you play 3 everytime they start talking while exploring try to find a place safe from enemies or just walk slowly or stop depending on where your at how many Monsters are close cause they can get cut off. Anyways Herald can be summoned by anyone unlike Morag's Brothers blade who can only be summoned by Morag.
Yeah, blade quests and heart to hearts are the way to go in XC2. XC3 is the game where I really thought the non-hero quests were about as rewarding as the actual hero quests. Most of them feel like they're building the world, and you get to see people overcome war and other traumatic differences. I wish there were more quests in XC2 where the different blades get to interact, but there's only a few that do that as part of the DLC quests.
The "where would your grave be, Morag?" question actually leads to one of the few times Morag tries to be funny in the game, and it goes about as well as you'd except from her
I swear did people who played and said it sucked did not even finish the game probably. I feel like what happened was they took one look Pyra and Mythra and were like “Ew tHey hAve T#tties” like stop being a baby and just enjoy the beautiful story. or who knows maybe they played something better than this. (This is a rant and it’s not meant to be taken seriously. This just my opinion)
man, theory and praxis quests really just put it right in your face how sad the way blades not remembering anything after getting cored. Theory's desperation for praxis to maybe remember something, anything hurts. It's also kind of sad how praxis goes she'll always remember how much Theory meant to her when she clearly doesn't remember any of it though, since she was clearly saying it to try and comfort the derezzing theory. and then she does try to keep that word in theory's quest, with limited success. Some of these quests really go hard into the setting of the world, and then some of them are just goofy as possible. despite the whiplash of emotions I enjoyed nearly all the blade quests, with one beary big exception.
It's for stuff like these sidequests that makes this the best Xenoblade game for it. I really hope Xenoblade 4 goes back to the more unappologetic Anime style.
I always wonder how the story would change if you were part of the “good side”. You said that in fire emblem you would turn the students into viscous killers by accident so I wonder what would happen here.
