You can overlap the two ends cut corner to corner and they will fit perfectly flush on the connector.
Ofcourse you can but I prefer 45 degrees as that way it's easier to pull them on connector. But you are absolutely wright my friend. Thx for your comment

Hose connector and metal adjustable rings. Size depend on your hose
Will this work on an expandable Pocket Hose Copper Bullet, which has 3 layers of latex hose inside?

Instead of metal clamps what about large self locking nylon ties? ah?
When you cut off unwanted part it's also very sharp so not much better and it's not reusable so I prefer metal. But it can be done

i said 13mm and it does not matter, you need to mature your hose before buying on as you might need different size
Does anyone else have endless problems with these hoses kinking inside the sleeve?
Once my hose start to leak, soon after repair it started to leak in different spot
No, but none has ever lasted more than a few years.
