DJI I have a proposal for a harness you can make that I know some people will want if you have not made it already but it would be a mount that you can put on dogs you could then get cool shots of sled dog or shots at dog shows but I know there is a market for it and if you have not looked in to it already I would love to see it made

this is a shot in the foot... gopro already tried this bad design for action camera
first smaller means less battery, nobody wants to go a day for diving, or somewhere outdoors and have the camera ends its battery before the first hour, it is annoying
second builtin battery means no spare batteries, means you will need to wait a whole hour for recharging no matter when you need to resume recording
smaller means easy to break easy to lose... the size of the actual state of the art action camera are good enough there is absolutelly no need to reduce while you are compromizing battery, power and features...
this video is a good marketing campaing but the camera itself is far from being worth
@@rafaellima381 plus, there is overheating problems with the camera, it´s stop after 5 min at 4k/120..... do not buy until they fix it. ( I personally like this design, but design aint good if the camera doest work).

Looks good but really time will tell how much effective it is.
Even if it has flaws it could be fixed in 2nd or 3rd iteration.
Sure gonna challenge it's competition as Dji already has a good name.

Looks fantastic. A big step fowler, and the stabilization looks insane.
DJI Action 2 seems to cater to those who love extreme adventures but also to those who are more laid back. Both a good action camera and a vlogging camera.
That little cam will be perfect as an extra cam on the PHANTOM 5!

@@plachi according to the leaks it's going to have a bigger sensor, 4k 120fps, modular design and if i'm not mistaken it also has higher bitrate so definetly much better than the first one 😁

Just got the DJI Osmo Action last month. For a two year old camera, it's still such a beast. I wish I had waited for the OA2 though. Still, can't wait to see what this iteration has to offer.
Even after OA2 The OA is still gonna be the beast. Don't worry mate. OA2 Is almost the same as OA except the 155°FOV and some external features like modular thing, and magnetic lanyard and stuff. So considering the price and specs. Osmo Action 1 is still gonna be the beast
@@HRGamingYT agreed. Though I could really use the higher frames while shooting with an ND filter to get the desired motion blur.
@@HRGamingYT You reckon we can expect a wider view? I use my OA mostly on a motorcycle and I would like it to be able to capture the view in front of me withoug cropping too much of my bike's dashboard.

I’m so late to the party but this action camera is making me want to go on an adventure asap. I’m absolutely thrilled to film with it. Will be getting a waterproof case too once I find a really good one.

Question, I love the layout. However, that magnetic mechanism concerns me. If I'm skiing, for example and I take a digger and the camera comes off my helmet not i'm SOL. Will you be able to get a 'frame' to put the camera in like the GP Session cams had? Or please convince me that my concerns are unfounded!
Just wrote the same, and yes, it's a buzz kill for me.
will it fog in cold temperature, plus it becomes hot to the touch after 30 mins of usage (as per another youtuber who reviewed it)?
well... the magnetic mechanism are only to make it easier to attach, but when detach those module, there are something a little hinge at the both side
(it must be pressed to release)
see at 00:38 that guy release the cam by pressing at both side and then attach to the other module
@@tidusclo he didnt really activate any sort of a mechanism. he just kinda slided and pulled the device off the magnetic panel because thats how you do it when the magnets are strong. They are tough to remove by a decent touch, but when shoved it'll come off. I dont think itll be a concern when youre riding or putting it outside your car, however like the above comment mentioned, a violent shove could pop it off, like in skiing, surfing, skateboarding etc.
Magnet is just for easy quick attachment, the actual attachment is by mechanical clip,
which you have to press to release.
Amazing design....I'm using dji action cam for my travel vlogs and its been amazing till now.

GoPro's hero 9 had great stabilization but the center of the video wouldn't stay in focus. I had to move over to the Dji Osmo Pocket 2 to get stabilized footage.

I've been using the osmo action for almost two years and it's one of the best cameras I've ever used, hands down better than anything GoPro could ever make.
No offense but a bold statement from a guy that doesn't push his camera gear to the creative limits.
Lmao no offense, but neither of these DJI cameras are even close to competing with the gopro8 and up… as a professional video guy, I would never use one of these cameras

Will that magnet mount really hold while parachuting or waves hitting it while surfing? What is the strength?
That would be my concern. Wouldn’t trust it tbh unless it’s like neodymium crazy strong

I like this new camera!! Hey guys, please could you elaborate on "reusable adhesive base" that is attached to an adjustable mount? What is needed in order to move the base from one surface to another? Do I need to buy a roll of double-side tape or not? Also I wonder if I could connect this camera to a constant source of power via USB? It could be useful i.e. when I drive in my car for several hours and want to do a timelapse. Thanks!
When the whole action camera world is opting for bigger sensors and form factors Dji has gone in for this stowaway modular design.
I think if the GoPro continued their sessions the current generation could be on a diff level.

@@haveyoueverwondered23 yup. They took cues from both the sessions form factor and the modularity on the insta 360 and made this beauty. I’m sure they have a modular 360 which could come as an add on soon
@@kirubashankar7249 there was more market need for vlogging kinda unit than a inconspicous unit. Also had a bad battery life. Today the market leader is GoPro cause of such decisions. Pssst…There is a rumour that there could be an interim model release with a sessions like form factor
Gopro made a mistake there. I thought few years ago, gopro session is gonna be continued lineup until 10.

This is amazing idea. You should make a tiny magnetic gimbal which gives additional power and controls the action 2 and also including wireless microphone module. Then it will be the best action and vlog camera ever.
is the battery swapable - or do you throw the camera away when the battery packs up after one year ? ( The internal battery in the gopro hero session wasnt interchangable so hopefully dji have learned from gopros mistake)
I'm not sure if you can swap the camera's internal battery, but the cheapest combo in their official store includes a magnetic battery module, so I guess that shouldn't be a problem.
@@CanalDoMato I use them on my mini quadcopter so carrying dead batteries arounds not going to work. I guess nobody has opened one of these up yet to see if the battery is easy to replace. Until thats clear, no way would I buy.

The camera is getting a BEATING in reviews - overheating and shutting down within 4 to 5 minutes.

Some CZcamsrs reported overheating issues when recording 4k for a long period of time. I hope DJI got firmware upgrade to fix the issue.
Not long period.. Just 4 minutes and camera shuts down. Latest firmware didn't fix this, it made camera unusable if it overheats

Yeah. I don't think I'd trust it mounted to the front of a jet ski, like they show in the video.
@@worstworkshop maybe neodimium magnets? But I don’t know how they would get on with storage and other electronics.
Even if the magnets fail, the device itself has a type X force field around it so it stays inside the bubble.

This camera does look good, however, it’s like a GoPro Hero 10 Session more than a DJI camera, I love using action cameras, but that magnetic mounting system does concern me, I’d feel better with a screw mount system for the camera. I guess it comes down to personal preference and if you want to put in the effort for it
Same here. Those have to me some mighty strong magnets to take the stress of a skydive or the wind of a fast driving car. I can't imagine this was really done with just magnets
even if magnets are strong, they are complete nonsense. good luck finding your camera in powder, sea bottom or a 500m cliff...

No it doesn't come to personal preference. The magnetic mounting system IS very concerning if you use that camera as an action cam.
DJI be dropping quarter sized action cameras and cinema cameras in the same month. And the thing is they're actually good

9 days to go until we get the long waited Mavic 3
Without a 'frame' mount that holds the camera securely, a dirt biker like myself can not trust magnets when ragging through tight single track. Plans on making a caged way to attach the camera to your mounts and accessories?
Use a lanyard with it and attach it to your helmet
@@JVJF7 That'll work for play riding, when you can stop and put it back. When racing though, I want something stable and reliable, not something I have to worry about coming off and getting in the way.
