Iron Infusions at Green Square Health

The GS Infusion Service was created to offer safe and convenient iron infusions for all patients with a referral from their doctor.
The video explains a bit more detail, but essentially you need;
1. A referral from your doctor with some information why you need an infusion, and what dose to give
2. To bring your prescribed iron from the pharmacy with you
3. Be well hydrated
4. Wear short sleeves or loose fitting sleeves
5. Read and sign the consent form
Iron infusions are available 8am-6pm Monday to Friday, and 9am-1pm every second Saturday.

If you had any infection at the time iron infusions are not recommended.

Two weeks after I had my infusions , I have headache so far for 2 months. . nobody can tell me why.

As far as I'm aware- headache, nausea, vomiting are on of the side effects of oral and parenteral iron infusion. Might as well talk to your doctor once.

Hi.. I did iron infusion 2 year ago when hb level was 7.. It became level 12 after 1 month..
Now again hb level become low like 9.. Do i need to goiron infusion again...?

Hi, i believe you need to find out why is your Hb is dropping. My father had the same situation and we did some xray and ct scan and found out why he was loosing red blood cells.

Don't go for infusion by just seeing low iron count figure or hb count..if u are ok...doing well in your daily routine you don't need iron infusion..its have major sideeffect fever and bodyache don't go after 5 days the infusion..if u really feel fatigue. Dizziness go for oral iron.
