That pass from Sousa for the winning goal is world class level...our academy is lit
On a plate :)
And even if they might not be prem level (best league in the world), there's no shame in ONLY being good enough to play in the 3rd or 4th best league (Serie A & Bundesliga) on earth. Sell them for 10-20 million pounds. I would love to have more home grown players in the 1st team, though. Especially now that we have a team identity so training can be really focused on developing the types of players we want at each position.

Sousa, Patino, Norton Cuffy, Nwaneri , Duberry (and Azeez maybe a lesser extent) all so exciting. Love seeing academy players making it into the first team.. would be awesome if they make it and can add that to Saka ESR and Eddie and have that many in the first team. Looks to me like Patino will definitely make it, prob Sousa too...Nwaneri still so young but looks amazing, and Cuffy is excellent but depends if he can do inverted role otherwise he will make a great RB for someone. Even if just a couple of those make it (Patino and Sousa my best guess, if we're talking regular starters) we could feasibly have 4 or 5 out of 11 starters being academy players .. how awesome is that?
@@sco9616don’t forget sagoe jr as well
Beautiful performance by our youngsters! Duberry please pass the ball more.
Lets win that cup lads🤍❤️
I guess passing is not in that kid's vocabulary ... somebody needs to sit him down and stress the importance of passing the ball to teammate if he's going to make it to the next level. They won that game because of the beautiful pass the leftback made in the added time. That pass was more beautiful than the goal.
My thoughts exactly.
Number 7 for Arsenal is a beast. Damn his skills with the ball is just pure class. Just work a little bit on looking for his mates in better position and i'm sure this guy can be a world star one day.
And btw, that goal winning assist was freaking amazing.
My exact sentiments
another saka incoming
Exactly.
But he needs a coach to turn him to a beast. He mostly not aware of his surroundings. If he had, he would created many open chances for others to score.
@@GoldenAwakenin Truth. I Guess Jack Wilshere will give him some good advice. Also, hopefully, Arteta will one day guide him :-)
That is Cozier-Duberry. Already he has been on the bench a few times for the first team. Very soon you will be seeing him more.
Fairplay to Cambridge they play really well, it's good to see lower league teams and there youth teams building up for the futures.
WAS IT A PENALTY?
@@GranvilleHawke A clear penalty wasn't given though so it balances itself.
That No.7 plays like Bukayo Saka.
That's great potential!!!
Pretty sure Saka is the inspiration.
But he has to remove his selfishness
When he learns how to pass a ball
That run from skelly for the opening goal was massive, a true jewel for the 6 role en hope they keep developing him as a no6 coz we cud do with one in the near future
I think Patino is clearly the next one from the academy tbf.. he is older & he is playing great on loan.. debate if he is 8 or 6 but he is playing real deep for Blackpool and looks good doing it.. we also heavily linked with Declan Rice who is one of the best no6 in the entire league and supposedly agreed terms already and is a big fan of Arteta, plus he only has a year left so fee shouldn't be an issue this time. So, I don't really think we need one that desperately.. nonetheless skelly looked good in there and its always good to have more coming through. There is Azeez as well who I haven't been following so much this last year or so but I imagine he is ahead of Skelly as well? He also may be an 8, im not sure..
@@sco9616 we have an aging midfield by the team these kids are ready partey Jorginho elneny and xhaka will all be 33-35. Even if we sign rice and caicedo.
@@leechesplays4925 I see Rice or Caicedo coming in the summer.. Xhaka getting a new deal and retiring at the club.. both Partey and Xhaka have a couple more years in them and Patino will be ready by then if not before (possibly Azeez tho im not sure how good he is looking at the moment). Rice Odegaard and Patino looks good midfield to me. Obviously other signings likely over the next few years and then maybe Nwaneri added to the mix.
I also think its quite likely given the age and his attributes for the role, that Vieira is actually the successor to Xhaka in that attacking role.. I thought it when he arrived and now we are seeing he usually comes on as a sub to replace Xhaka, not Odegaard.. so I honestly think they have planned it really well.. Odegaard is young, Vieira will be phased in for Xhaka as Xhaka gets older.. Rice will come in (who can play 6 or 8) and Patino/Rice being phased in for Partey. Eventually we could see Vieira Odegaard (or ESR for either of them) Rice with Patino rotating at 6...and again no reason not to expect more signings over next 3 years to provide more competition. Vieira/ESR Odegaard and RIce is a sick midfield 3 first choice tho imo.. i see Vieira adapting to EPL and becoming a top player.
Congratulations to the young Gooners, and well done Jack. We need more Sakas thru and thru from the Academy.
ETHAN NWANERI AND LEWIS-SKELLY ARE TOO GOOD TO BE THIS YOUNG
Never a pen in a million years
Huge shoutout to Cambridge United. Not many youth teams can say they made it to the Youth Cup Quarterfinals, Beat Chelsea in the Youth Cup, play Arsenal at the Emirates, AND TAKE THE LEAD at the Emirates. Cambridge United have been absolutely phenomenal. They made everyone in Cambridge proud.
When the no 7 learns to pass and do so in good time… it will be a big break for him
Exactly
Exactly
If the kids win this Cup ....that would be a great start for Wilshere as a coach.
Skelly is a talent, has the ability to run with the ball but keep his head up. I’ve watched him a few times now and seems to be at the heart of all that is good
that was a de bruyne level pass for the 3rd goal
I don't know about anyone else. But, seeing Wilshere coach these boys makes me so happy.
Dubery ,Sousa, Skelly, Nwaneri wow talents....
Cozier Duberry is a very talented young player, but he can be too selfish in his game. He needs to learn how to be a team player if he wants to go far in this game.
As a Cambridge fan we are just glad people haven't cottoned on how good Yearn, McConnell etc are and they haven't been poached! Also respect to the 3000 odd making the trip
Seeing these young, gunners sure have a bright future
Gooners, I'm not seeing any comments about that Njoku kid. What a talent!
No way was that a pen 😂 Some outstanding talent out there though 👏
The one that wasn’t given was more of a penalty
You're spot on. The penalty for Arsenal is a soft one. It shouldn't have stand.
Cambridge are deadly in the final 3rd as well. End to end game worth watching.
@@olumideale5753 nah I was watching in the stadium they weren’t that good they relied mostly of their big men in the box other than that they had a poor final pass and shots from range not many good passes I think it was there number 10 and 20 who stood out the rest weren’t anything special
@@rorywilliams549 which team is Arsenal playing in the semi Rory?
@@olumideale5753 it’s not been drawn yet the match isn’t until April
Squad isn't yet a cohesive team. Saw some incredible sparks and moves by the youngsters but you've got to ask if the forwards could do more with some passing into open spaces where there were free players on goal.
Same with the defence, too many open holes and spaces for the opponents to exploits.
All in all, a good game for the lads. My hope is that the team grows into a cohesive unit.
It's cause these guys don't really play that often with each other. They are kind of disjointed. As some play more U18 while the others play U21. They don't have great chemistry yet, but rely a lot on natural talent to see them through. They have been very clutch in this competition. Hopefully this is the year we win it.
CU deserved to go through on the balance of play.
Cozier duberry should be given chance in the first team
His not yet ready for that level. But he looks very promising.
I think he's been travelling with the first team recently but obviously at the very back of the bench
When he learns to pass the rassclart ball
He is a selfish player. There were so many opportunities for assist.
Not this season
Duberry for real is a Gem 💎 this unity is Genetically inherited.
He can be too selfish in his game. He needs to learn how to be a team player if he wants to go far in this game
Those 3 Left Footed Kids, wooow, how are Arsenal going to handle this
Future is bright 🔴⚪
🔵⚪️
That last assist is world class
Lewis skelly what a talent.
Yaya Toure.
u18 no10 is 15 years old, future wonderkid
Amazing game! Duberry🔥 and Cambridge boy N10 amazing 🔥
Believe Cambridge's No.10 is Kai Yearn, one of the few academy players that will probably play in senior league games this season
Well done young GUNNERS 🎉.
Kids are really electric performance brilliant.
I watched the last cup match and Skelly really stands out. He is an interesting prospect for sure.
why is no one talking about how many fans cambridge bought? thats a third tier side who have recently been in the 4th and 5th tier. Unreal support and for an under 18s game
duberry sousa skelly and nwaneri 🔝🔝
Cozier Duberry is a very talented young player, but he can be too selfish in his game. He needs to learn how to be a team player if he wants to go far in this game.
@@iykeharrison9161 true, he has a lot of talent but still a lot to learn, if he has a strong mentality, he'll definetly become a very good player
We would NEVER get that penalty call in the prem
Sousa and Skelly.. Duberry and Nwaneri.. some real talent in this u18s!
Well done lads🎉
I hope all these players ...on both sides get the chance to play in the PL😊 COYGs!
Cozier duberry wat a player we have
I respect the Cambridge team and their players and they have played good football game nothing short with them
Coached Georgie Scales for a few years absolutey made up for him. Such heart!
Dubbery needs to learn to make that extra pass. Brilliant player but can elevate his gameplay and team with a bit more unselfishness.
What i saw was a Cambridge team playing as a team and unlucky to be punished with a penalty which clearly was not , very poor refereeing . The Arsenal team was in essence a group of wannabe's yet to learn how to play as a team , plenty to work on but perhaps a new approach is needed to cut if the selfish attitudes in play .Unlucky Cambridge a good team performance .😮
Spot on mate , I'm biased as a Cambridge fan at the game last night but I'm actually optimistic about our future if we get some of these lads in our team in the future
Arsenal No 7 just goes for glory every time
massive talents in arsenals academy. nwaneri, lewis-skelly, sousa, cozier-dudberry, walters 🔥🔥 😂
Don't forget Rosiak.
Wish you all the best 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
It was action filled
Arsenal amazing alway great players coming throu
Great away support
First goalscorer for Cambridge looked like Havertz for a second :P Great game! Well done with the Gunners, Jack W.
Skelly is wonderful
Cousier dubs needs not be selfish his game is gona be very good
Good game
That last goal was brutal.
What a goal by Nwaneri 😮💨 Seb is a baller but Kamara has to start the next game.
Cambridge thou 👏🏿
wonder if Cambridge's #9 Njoku is any relation to the Cleveland Browns star tight end.
It's good to see a lot of talented youngsters in the academy. They just need to learn to play better with each other. There were a lot of selfish decisions on that pitch. They'll definitely get better though.
no one is talking about the arsenal player he made some fantastic saves
Duberry should learn to pass the ball. Cambridge is the better side. Jack Wilshire is such a bad boss.
woow the junior have the Class of Senior way.........great football gooners
Cozier has got to play his teammates more to have a shot of becoming a top class player
Dear Cozier-Duberry, Congratulations on making the Semis. However, I think it'll do your career a lot of good if/when you learn to pass to & assist your teamates.
The ball is faster than you & it's not only about you but the team. Cheers
feel for these kids never a penalty in a million years
I didn't think it was penalty either, but there was a clearer penalty not given to arsenal later on in the match
@@potentialswillrule sorry but stopped watching the game after that decision its like up in Scotland where the ugly sisters get all decisions because they are the major clubs so poor unfashionable teams like Cambridge are up against the establishment of the old school FA
That number 7 guy is a first team material. Saka was that lot
Arsenal wonderful kids
Everyone in the comments say the same player don’t pass. He should definitely be reading these comments.
that assist from Sousa is fucking nasty , jesusssss
Don't think that was a pen, But there was some interesting talent on show lets hope they keep it up
Yeah, I'm an Arsenal fan and that was still very dubious.
No.7! he is like a Mitoma!!!
That sousa pass some high level shit
Congratulations
Roziak is the real deal!
Arsenal fan, but pen looked dubious.
Duberry imagines himself the Prime Robben whole game.
Nwaneri gives me Bellingham vibes, we should start moving him to U22
Wilshere telling his boys how he do it those years🤣😊
You can tell Cozier-Duberry is a baller but man... I hate his decision making in the final third. Feels like he's trying to be the hero every play
at least our youth club did something.... (cambridge fan)
Didn't watch the match but based on these highlights, they might've been the better side. I think they were unfortunate for many reasons including woodwork and a bad pen call.
@@MrFootaholic i mean big respect to our youth players getting this far, maybe one of them could be the next mullin and bang in 20+ goals a season again for us
I wish this boy to be brought to arsenal team, kairo smith of crystal palace
Cambridge no.9 looks like he’s old enough to have kids his age😂
I see a Saka in that number 7 guy
Great game, well done lads. Several direct shots when someone else was in a good position to score though. Remember assist are as valuable as the goals you score.
Hold on Ethan you will be arsenal legend just hold on for achance to frst team, chance
I thought no 7 is saka,. He is amazing
We were lucky with the penalty decision. It was never a pen. Again, the boys have to learn how to shoot. Also, they need to know when to shoot and when to pass. I haven't seen a team that creates a busload of chances as we do, but our attackers are woeful at taking them.
Jack Wilshire 💐🥰💐🥰💐🥰
I'm an Arsenal fan, that that penalty shouldn't have stood, it was a soft one
Mark the name of that number 2.❤️
Arsenal fan, but never a penalty.
Futures bright future red and white bars COYG
Nwaneri is cut above all these players the boy can’t even buy a lottery ticket playing with players couple years older than him and being so composed and decisive arsenal DO NOT LET HIM GO
Penalty was harsh
Dubbery is our star boy like saka he create more chances
England’s future looks bright
the no.7 need to be more accurate with the shots
where can I watch these matches? (Full match)
COYG
Duberry needs to learn how to pass and cross he needs to learn from Saka passing and assisting is just as important as scoring he only wants to score and not pass to his teammates who are in better position I don't like that
Duberry does have something a bit special (obv needs to develop his game)
My prediction is we’ll see both skelly and nwaneri around the first team in future
Possibly Sousa (what an assist)
