Great job buddy no kidding.

Once I get my 2000 GMC Sierra frame welded. No kidding I got a mess buddy.

I’ve only really needed a die grinder a couple of times in my life. but when I did I had to borrow one ‘cos nothing else would do.
I have that same kit!

Gotta be awfully nice having that alignment rack now!
"Camber Cam" I actually went to school with a girl named Camber. Never found out for sure, but one imagines she had a brother named Caster and a dog named Toe.
Mr. O,
You won the lottery finding Mrs.O.
Sense of humor, and beauty!
Lucky!
My thoughts exactly. He's one fortunate fellow that's for sure. IMO it's called the American dream. Talk about having all your ducks lined up in a row, it doesn't get any better than this.
Naa, single is the only way to be.
I don't know why I'm watching a wheel alignment, I'll never do one myself and I have someone I trust to do an alignment. Yet here I am, watching an alignment.
I watched my first alignment job in the Rhode Island Trade Shop School in 1974. Mirrors on the wheels bouncing dots back to a bulls eye on the wall. I was 25. Ah the old days!!!!!!!
Camber cam sounds like one of those cam girls that other people look at not me not me not me okay I look
Good idea to know whats involved even if you will never do one. I'll never do one either.
I'll never do one either. Well, not one with a computer anyways. I have some angle plates for off road junk from back in the day.
I just like the story telling here.
Because knowledge is useful and it's invigorating to see things being done behind the scenes. :) That's why you're watching. Curiosity. It's a good thing! Don't ever lose that sense of curiosity and the desire to learn for the plain fact of learning.
It's refreshing to see an actual alignment specialist. Most places will just do a toe-and-go and act like other settings don't even exist.
Yeah that's what happened to me and my 91 Mustang. The recommended shop - the only one in my area actually - did a toe and go. "caster, camber doesn't matter." And I have aftermarket caster/camber plates on the car! I didn't want to argue that they should do like Mr. South Main here; they might not have even known how.
I did alignments ten years ago. I remember some of my coworkers wouldn't touch it if it were in the green. Even at the edge. Glad to see the extra effort. I wanted as close to dead on as possible too. Great job.
I've worked with techs in the past that wouldn't touch adjustments even in the red..... just set toe and that's its... and heaven forbid you suggest selling parts to make the alignment right......
I always moved it to where I knew it would drive right and wear tires correctly. Those specs can vary greatly. Take the time and do it right.
You want a .5 pull to the left though for road crown.
The word you were looking for is "Protrusions" for the "Raised Depressions" you were speaking of :) Nice Job Eric! Love your channel
I knew someone would address that. Thank you.
Whoa Black Betty, camber cam
LOL
That is excellent! Shaaawing!!!
Hahahahahaha
Mrs. O WIN'S IN THIS EPISODE!!!; )
Eric for president.
I'd vote for him.

I have been contemplating of an "Eric O of Avoca, NY" write in. I'm not keen on our ballot choices.

4:40 this is the single greatest exchange I've ever heard between Eric and Mrs O! You guys are hilarious! 😂
“I gotta put down my purse and loosen it” I love it!!!!
Great video! I start Monday on learning alignments! Good to have a little knowledge going into it!
"PUT DOWN YOUR PURSE"
Haven't hear that in like- forever!
Alignment content is always good content! Thanks for helping demystify the alignment process.
I love your weight compensation comments. I'm not a dainty guy myself and I've had a car pull left after an alignment. I've thrown a smaller guy into the car and made him check for a pull to the left. They'd ask me why I want them to drive it and I'd say it was to check for "fat guy pull".
You professionals make it look easy! Yet another great video!
Good mechanic, great guy... need more of you out there!
Great Video's Thanks! Love it when the boss lady is in your shows and when the family is there also!
We track mustangs including this generation. The trick when buying a fox chassis or this S197 is to put it on a lift, un-bolt everything suspension related attached to the car made by Ford and throw it in the bin. Then purchase everything aftermarket. Boom, you now have adjustability with the added benefit of being able to go around corners.
Hahaha and that is the trick to fixing any production sports car
Then the caster can be adjusted and you can make that car drive like it should.
I don’t know much about alignment, but I have had a few Fords and the throwaway move sounds about right ! ( if whatever it is is still on there)
Raised depressions ? bumps ?
Why can't Ford make the car properly in the first place? Why does it need aftermarket parts to do a wheel alignment?
Not buying one of those!
could have fooled me all I see is them wrecked and most often into the crowd.......
Thanks for the good videos. It has saved me tons of money working on my own stuff and I've learned a lot 👍
Another great video with excellent content! This is the 2nd alignment I've seen ya do on that new setup. 😎
Looks like a good alignment machine, Thanks Mr O
Just want to say that I really enjoy watching and learning from you. Thank you
Gotta love the banter between Eric and the missus. Always makes me smile. :-)
It's awesome to see how You and Mrs. O can get along at work. Thanks for the videos and all the knowledge
Only mechanic to explain so i get it. Thank you again sir
Good to hear there is still that spark between you and the misses
I'm Glad your the mechanic with MAD skills.
Great job for just using the alignment tool and getting fed to good job
Wheel alignments have become ultra sophisticated with a high learning curve involved. Thank you. Great video.
Great video now people will understand about wheel alignment.
Many years ago I had car come in for an oil change and tire rotation. Put the car back on the lot without test driving it. The customer picked up the car and drove around the block and came right back. "What did you do to my car?" Took it for a ride and it almost drove off the road. Put the tires back where they were and it drove like a dream. Early days of steel belted radials. Never did anything to a car without taking it for a ride around the block after that. Even if I changed a light bulb! Always know what your car drives like before doing any work.
Eric, thanks for posting this video, I always wanted to see what is involved when an alignment is done, especially with this new high tech systems. I hope you show post some other alignments in the future. Love the channel, great work.
They way you were talking at the beginning you were just like every other mechanic out there, but at the end you are awesome as always. Great alignment!!!
Came for the Mustang, stayed for Ms. O and The South Main Food Network!! (not a sponsor) ......heck yeah!!!
Wow a real alignment not your usual toe n go! Mrs O 😍 Eric!
Man I done drum breaks for the first time today and all these videos helped me out so much lol thanks man
Nothing better than watching an SMA video wearing my new South Main Auto T-Shirt! 👌
Thanks Mrs O for bringing back smell O vision another Awesome video Mr O keep them comig
I second that. A fair & knowledgeably man.
Ahh,

Anything made by Vanessa, would be Heaven sent.
Good job Eric!
That is some fancy alignment equipment Mr O. Good job. 👍
Not to many shops know how to do this, You are Brilliant. Thanks
I think you have a great way of doing it concerning the weight of the primary driver. Its about respect and also getting the best result👍 greetings from salty norway.🇳🇴
I really enjoy watching your videos.
Mr O , your very Thorough, way better than any other shop I’ve ever been to, we need more people who take pride in their work.
Great job, Eric!
Great video Mr o.
Another great video, Eric. Educational and informative all at the same time. Learned a lot.
Word to your son - be like your dad and you'll be a success in whatever you do. While he may not know it now, the shade you throw him will only help him be better in life. Something I learned too late in life.
Hi Eric, I just hope my alignment shop is as thorough and knowledgeable as you! This is not rocket science but darn close! Thanks for the video.
Great vid Eric
Brilliant video and brilliant machine thanks Eric O
Awesome job , Love y'alls personality
I'm so glad to have watched a pro do this, because having just recently done my own first camber bolt install and alignments thereto (they let me borrow and play with the alignment machine, silly them!)... Dance is the right word fro those toe adjustments.
Must admit the camber and caster being so off on that car is weird, so I'm thinking it got hit or something. Caster and camber on those Mustangs is set, so unless the frame's been tweaked or there's heavy mods going on... odd.
Good info on the caster bolt. In case I need it, usually people get caster/camber plates on the strut.
Thanks for posting this one, sir! Helps greatly!
Great job. Just late last week, I realize my rear tires on my car were different. One was 5 and other was a 6. The fronts are a 4. Brought new set of tirss. Your right about how the tires throws off your steering down the road. Now my car drives good now.
Nice alignment job. Hello from Puerto Rico
Camber cam sounds like a new location for go pro to me!😜. Stay safe brother.
When you get the alignment that close and the vehicle drives great, it does make you feel good. To bad the same vehicle will be back next year with rusted out parts AND needing an alignment! How many times I saw that when I lived in Massachusetts!
Great job and video
Yet another awesome video, thank you sir!! 😀
Thanks for the welcome, Ponch!
Good video as always.
Another interesting video. Thank you.
Eric don’t worry about what people say I think you did a Dawm good job
You make it look easy
Wow you're freaking good. Anyone in the south of the UK know anyone as good as Eric? My cars need this level of care and attention.
Mrs. O is a knockout.
Thank you for showing us your alignment machine. I have not done a alignment for 20 years. The new machine are night and day from the old bear alignment racks that I used.
Thank you for taking the time to properly straighten the steering wheel before you lock it down. It drives me crazy to have the wheel off after an alignment. I will take it back and make em fix it too!
Those Mac wrenches are great for alignments I use mine everyday!
Came for Eric, stayed for Mrs O
That bit at the end is why I usually only do alignment after installing new tires. Also why I only go to a local alignment shop that's been around for 70 years and not a national chain. They actually do full alignment instead of just toe.
The 45 minute tie rod adjustment dance. Have danced that dance many times. Yes, the struggle is real. God forbid you're a tech with even a pinch of OCD and have to perform alignments...
Had some laughs on this one. Thanks Eric!
Hello Mrs. O Looking good as always!!!
a nice video before going to bed :)
Nice job thank you for sharing 👍😎
Doesn’t matter if you align it it’s still gonna pull towards the crowd
GTA V adjustment ? 🙄
LMAO
NO driver skill and the fact the mustang GT is the cheapest 450hp car you can buy.
Lol best comment!
Nice Alignment machine Mr. O! First time i'm seeing it...
I love that geo liner they are the best alignment machines you can buy we picked one up for 16,500 definitely worth every penny!
Love the video as usual. Of course with this car you only have to do the front suspension because the rear suspension is out of a pickup truck
Nice job. I’ve been doing my own toe jobs with a tape measure for years on my own cars. Had one shop get it wrong for me after spending $$$ with new tires. Took it back and guy says that we must’ve hit a curb! Nope, it was never right. Dude tried to charge us again and I refused. After the second run in with that shop on alignment issues, they are no longer in business. Nice to see how it’s done right though. Thanks for the in depth explanation. I’ll now take it to my local place that actually does a before and after printout!
Great new machine
Nothing like a red pony!! I learned how to drive in my dads 64 1/2 Mustang Fastback V8 289. Loved that car.
I learned in my uncle's '65 with the straight 6 and 3-speed manual when I was maybe nine or ten. He let me drive it on the rural property(of course he was in the passenger seat) they lived on at the time back in the early 80's. Loved that car and would love to have it but, alas.......
@@jeremymurphy7320 I had a 6 shooter mustang too at one point in the 80's. It got me around, was easy to work on! As I remember right it was an ugly brown! My dad who is now 84 years old today still talks about that 64 1/2 mustang ... he likes to say..." I paid 2880$ for it brand new! "
I just put a lift on my Jeep Compass, and it came with a lot of new adjustable parts. Took it in for alignment after and find out I need a few more adjustable parts to get the toe in check in the rear. Another 150 bucks more and now have some nice new Moog adjustable lateral links in the rear and tires that run straight down the road.
I have found over the years doing alignments that the Irwin 7LW is great for grabbing onto and turning the inner tie rods. Give them a try!
Always recommend people to align their vehicle once a year. Usually at that point it will be a quick toe adjustment after everything else to set to spec. I personally advise against setting caster for road crown due to how every road is different and most modern vehicles seem to handle it just fine.
Good job Eric
"Hopefully we won't get hurt" I say this every time I work on the vehicle! LOL
Also I can tell exactly when the "Dad voice" comes out.
You crack me up with your comments. Wonderful job there. The customer's size does matter. Also the road the customer drives on matters as well. If they drive on a highway with loads of trucks on it. The road gets a groove from the truck tires and will cause a car steering to wander. It happens more on narrow cars than on wide ones.
This was good to see, I didn't realize it is so much work. Gotta wonder why it wasn't manufactured to allow adjustment, without buying extra parts.
Staggered caster helps with roads with a lot of crown.
Years ago { bout 45 }, they use to say align at curb weight. This included a full tank of gas!! If your customers are like mine, that ain't gonna happen.I don't usually have enough for a serious test drive. Some of the time you can fix a no start by adding 5 gallons of gas. Great job, good vid, and thanks for what you do.
Hi love your stuff depression and protrusion just trying to help again really enjoy your videos
I like the way you do alignments. Most people are happy if they have the total tow within .15 degrees of nominal factory settings, or within .3 degrees on caster and camber. Getting it done quickly so they can get paid faster is all they care about. That's never good enough for me, I like it right on the money whenever possible.
Notice how his ratcheting picked up speed when Mrs. O asked, "You promise?" 6:30 Slow down Mr. O!
The pressure needed to get the nut on which was probably a self locking one, had been met and was easier to turn.
Gotta slow down to go fast. Said it to myself today.. it works
Good job
