Known as a great morning beverage that "eases your digestive system into action, providing bioavailable, easily digested essential nutrients", as a savory beverage in the morning it helps me curb my appetite for carb/sugary substances throughout the day.
I might suggest following up with Greek yogurt when you start to feel hungry again 30 minutes after drinking the bone broth. From what I gather, the probiotics from the yogurt and the digestive properties of the bone broth go hand in hand. If you make your bone broth at home with an Instant Pot and straining tools, then you have tools to make homemade yogurt, too. Ideally, full fat, grass-fed milk, even better if raw, even even better if wuth goat milk, especially if lactose intolerant. Homemade Greek yogurt is good if you eant to strain longer and drain iut the excess whey, where all the lactose sugars reside.

Any liquid nutrient always leaves me hungry shortly after drinking them. That's why I don't consider a smoothie or cup of bone broth a meal replacement. I just don't get juicing either, not if it leaves me craving something more substantial. If I'm fasting, I'll just fast straight through till the next mealtime and not take even a cup of coffee until I can eat again, because I'm going to want something to actually chew along with the coffee. That's just me🤷🏻

I spotted bone broth powder (bovine) in my local healthfood store. I'm not in the US btw. I'm sure you could find a good brand in the grocery store or online. There are so many brands popping up. Look for a brand that doesn't use fillers, added salt or sugar, and it should preferably be grass fed.
@@lily5952 why would anybody replace proper bone broth with some processed food claiming to be it? I buy a bunch of beef bones (with the marrow) and let them cook in the crockpot for 48 hours. I never separate the fat. Drink it warm with fat floating on top. Satiating. That's it.

However, if you're more lenient (or keto) and want more flavors, then look up these: Pacific Foods - organic Kettle and Fire - good quality, more flavors, expensive. Swanson - not organic but it has no chemical additives, and it comes in a microwavable cup. Less expensive. Ancient Nutrition - bone broth powder protein shakes, chocolate and vanilla.

Bone broth works great for me. I eat dinner only. Fast from 7pm until 5:30-6pm next day…except I sip 32oz on bone broth throughout the day & water. Completely annihilates hunger for me. Completely satisfied with normal meal for dinner. I eat no more, in that meal, than before I started intermittent fasting. Zero decrease on energy, in fact I have had far more energy than previously. Warning. You’ll have to get more frequent haircuts and clip nails twice a week. The protein in bone broth is collagen. I’m not a diabetic so I’m not recommending this diet for dm.

Maybe you can show us various types of small candies for us that are type 2 diabetics so we can see what amount we're capable of eating. Something like maybe the mini candy bars like mini Snickers or mini twix or even like a piece of laffy Taffy so we know how much we can eat before our sugar spikes too much
Sir, perhaps you could do this same experiment, but include 1 Tablespoon of Kerry Gold, salted butter? I’m believing, by stirring 1 Tablespoon of that butter, not only would it potentially lessen the effects of any spike in your blood, but it would also cause better absorption of vitamins and minerals, and lastly, it would give you greater satiety? Just my preliminary thought..
I make my own bone broth and I do leave a little bit of the fat in it when I put it up in the freezer but I have noticed that if I make pure bone broth, it does not spike my blood sugars, and it sustain me for several hours. But if I make bone broth with carrots in it, it will spike my blood sugars, from the essence of the carrots, I suppose

The absolute best thing to drink coming off a fast and for breakfast.

You need to add some fat to it. Throw in some butter. Or when you make bone broth, do not skim the fat off the top.
