Don’t overthink this Giants! Stay at 6 and take one of the 3 wideouts. Then see if you can package some later picks and maybe a player to move back up if you want to.

As a Giants fan, think it would be dumb. We need WR as well as other needs, stop bringing in qb prospects with nothing round them, you gotta build a team for the next qb prospect to be successful.
I would agree, however, Daniel Jones has not lived up to expectations at all, I think it was a big mistake to give him that contract. He keeps getting hurt and he doesn't throw the ball well, all he does is run.

Yes Jones was hurt last year & we had 7 Olinemen hurt at one time - 3 starters & 4 backups. We signed Justin Pugh off the couch. This is basically year 2 under Daboll for Jones. Get a #1 WR like Nabers or Odunze which will help the offense & Jones. We had a great free agency in which Schoen improved the Oline & pass rush. So maybe Jones has a breakthrough year & if not he’ll have no excuse. Then we can worry about QB.
The draft will dictate what happens & the Giants cannot reach or force a pick especially at QB. Now the first 3 picks will likely be some combination of QBs. Then whatever Arizona at 4 & San Diego at 5 does will dictate what happens in a lot of Round 1. Do the Pats trade down or take a QB? Does Arizona take Marvin Harrison Jr? What do Jim Harbaugh & the Chargers do? Draft stud TE Bowers, stud tackle Joe Alt or one of the top receivers. Teams like the Vikings are armed with multiple first round picks albeit late 1st rounders. Maybe the Cards & Chargers draft position players allowing us to trade with a QB needy team at 6 so we can get more draft assets. Maybe Maye falls to us. Maybe Penix, Nix or McCarthy fall to us in Round 2 although McCarthy’s stock is skyrocketing. Teams like the Bikings also don’t want to overpay to get into the Top 5 to pick a controversial & fringe QB prospect like McCarthy.
Ideally the Giants take a #1 WR like Nabers or Odunze at pick 6, have a top QB like Drake Maye fall to us or we trade down for extra draft capital. Either way we improved a lot of important areas in free agency drastically shaping & changing our draft needs. Bottom line is we can’t reach & have to let the draft come to us.
We’ve drafted well but one of the teams who have crushed it in the later rounds recently after having traded multiple first round picks over the past 2-3 years for proven veterans are the Rams. We need to draft like the Rams who’ve netted played like RB Kyren Williams & WR Puca Nacua in Round 5.
This draft is loaded at QB & WR & has some special prospects at certain positions. There have been some wild trades & a free agent frenzy especially with QBs & WR changing the landscape of team’s needs & the draft overall. We needn’t look further than the Fields trade, the Cousins to Falcons signing & Vikings trade for an extra 1st Rounder. The draft is going to be fascinating to watch it play out. Can’t wait. Big Blue had a great free agency & need to cap it off with a great draft. Let’s Go Giants!
I’m of the mindset where they sealed their fate sticking with DJ. Get this guy some wr help. If they don’t come out with at least 2wrs it would be a failure. If Nabers or Odunze is there at 6. That should easily be the pick. They haven’t had a 1000yd wr or X wr for that matter since before DJ was drafted. 6 years ago. That’s bad. Jj at 6 is over drafting and it’s the exact same spot the previous regime drafted DJ. JJ is a mid first at best but not top 10. He’s a distant 4th best in the class.

People said Even Oneal was great before he was drafted. Now people are saying there is a lot of great offensive linemen to draft. The Giants have been trying to protect Daniel Jones since he was drafted and it has been a failure. Why should I believe drafting another offensive line man will make protection better. Sometimes you just have to look at the quarterback himself and say it's time to move on and try something new!!!!!!!!!!
I won't be shocked. Daniel didn't do anything to cement himself in being the franchise QB since day one.
2022 looked promising, but then, late season collapse brought them down and Jones is too injury prone.

I absolutely love Nabers but Odunze or Coleman fit our needs betters.
If it comes down to getting more help for the OL or JJM, I drafting Alt. If Penix or Nix is still there in the 2nd round I'd get the QB and let him use Drew Lock as a bridge. I'd address a WR in the 3rd round if one is there that's worth drafting.
If they can't move up or a quarterback falls to them they will draft a receiver at six and get a quarterback later
the QB can wait They need a play maker like a wide receiver. A good WR makes the ones they have that much better.
If Harrison is possible or nabers available anything else I’ll lose all hope .
The O line will be much better and give Jones more protection. Nabors/Odunze and the rest of the receivers will give us more points to go with an improved defense. We'll miss Saquon but he acted in his best interest. I expect 9-10 wins this year.
The only way NYG can be a playoff team is if they draft Penix Jr & Rome. Jalin Hyatt is a potential year 2 breakout especially with a QB with an arm & accuracy like Penix, PFF listed slot WR Wandale Robinson as a potential breakout who also got praise from CeeDee Lamb. NYG hasnt had an explosive offensive since OB, Saquon is just a RB & they can’t make an offensive explosive like a WR can. Now is the chance to replace that productivity with even more in Rome/Hyatt/Robinson while also getting your franchise QB, with a new OL coach & starting RT Eluemunor for Penix blindside.
Sit Penix until mid season or late season let him learn from the sidelines since we have Lock, then next offseason Jones is released, we add more through draft & FA & we’ll be a deep playoff team.

I Think that It's up to DJ . IF he plays well everyone will shot up. But he won't do that. So know I wouldn't be surprised if they take a QB in this draft. But not sure it will be at #6 . later on in the draft. I think.

No chance, unless maye or Daniels shockingly drop any other QB there is a huge reach. Too many holes, this feels like a “best player available” spot for them
I won't be shock if the Giants draft a quarterback at 6th if it Drake Maye, Jayden Daniels or JJ Mccarthy. If thats the quarterback they want, go for it. If the top 4 are gone, take a receiver and move back into the first round and get Bo Nix or Michael Penix Jr. Offensive line can be addressed in either day 2 or day 3.

The fans have moved on from him, but Jones had one above average season in his 5 years, and that was the first year with Daboll/Schoen. What they saw from Jones fooled them into gifting him his current outrageous contract. Jones is being paid a contract comparable to an elite QB, yet he isn't elite at all, he'd been a halfway decent backup QB at best.
@@AlterMann57outrageous is a stretch when that’s an average contract. 40M is average. Outrageous would be 50M+ is what the elite guys are making. Dak is getting a 55m+ contract. Anywhere between 30-40M is average. But they aren’t in a position to move up really, they havent built a team around him to succeed. Worst OL in nfl history, no #1 wr, 1000 yd receiver in 6 years, I say taking the Niners route and continue to build the team around the QB which is what the Bears are doing to. Taking the Niners route. They’re doing more for Caleb than they did for Justin Fields his whole career. They committed to DJ last year. Giants fans weren’t talking when they were in the playoffs year 1 and won a playoff game. They changed up fast and that’s why they’re so toxic.

Get the wr1. Nabers or Odunze will be their WR1 for the next decade and ready to contribute day 1. Build out that team out. They committed to DJ last year. They could’ve let him walk but they didn’t. FA, they committed to building the trenches on both sides of the line. No splashy wr signings. They know they’ll have their pick of Odunze or Nabers at 6. Drafting JJ at 6 would be over drafting just like they did DJ drafting him in that exact spot 5 years ago. JJ is a mid first round talent at best but he’s not worth the 6th pick. Trade out of the top 10 and get him. Stay at 6, pick that WR1

Yes I agree with most I don't care what they say JJ is if they can't get Daniel's at the least I am very good with the wide out from LSU as he is the surest thing besides a good O line. But much as people say solidify the O line ,this has been our excuse for DJ the whole time he was here. People forget Sawian was effective with the same bad O lines so miss me with feeling sorry for DJ he just isn't a good qb especially at the price.
I think we try with Daniel for a few games and see what happens if he stinks then we play Drew for the rest of the season, but I don’t think we should go with a QB with the 1st round, I would go WR, OL, or DB.
