Ive been using this both privately and professionally for a while. I wont say 12 months is a lie but from my experience you can expect 3 - 4 months of good water beading before the effect fades.
Excellent video Specky. I bought this product in April 17 and the only difference with my application was that I waxed my car before using the super gloss. The super gloss seemed to take away some of the wax shine. The water beading lasted about 6 washes (10 weeks) before I reapplied it again. I think the 12 months claim for protection is well exaggerated in my opinion. All things considered , easy and quick to apply, price , I would say it's a good product but the winter weather will be its real test especially up here in Scotland
+Old Tone Thanks Tone! I would suggest that you apply the Super Gloss directly to the bare paint and allow it to bond. Apply wax over the top to act as a sacrificial layer and add any extra gloss/depth of shine. I'm going to give it a real winter test on my own car. You're right Scottish weather. 😂
Bought mine from Saintsbury's for £6.00 on special offer. Always use on dry car. It acts something like rainX. So far I'm happy with the product. I believe it protects the paintwork and cleaning is just so much easier. Used 5 weeks ago. Let me know your experience
Upto a year it depends on the weather and also how the car is driven if it’s driven on motorway with loads of spray while it’s raining it’s going to get washed away if it’s driven only Sunday and parked in the garage obviously it will last lot longer
Regular washing and application of protection products like waxes, sealants or ceramic coating will help slow the process of oxidation. Obviously keeping the car out of the sun would be best but that's not always an option. Hope this helps.
I used this and it ruined my paint I got loads of little spots and streaks and it atracks dirt and within a day of cleaning its covered in dirt like I drove through a dust storm plz help
That's very strange, I've used it many times without issue. I'd make sure your paint is as clean as possible and free of any waxes, oils or grease before using it.
Well over 6 months has past, so what is your verdict please on it's claim to last 12 months ? Is it still performing as good as it did for the week after you applied it?
Thanks. I will be interested on the verdict. Even the well reviewed Bilt Hamber Double Speed Wax only lasts about 4 weeks before it stops beading. I get the impression that Carplan No.1 Super Gloss is much the same type of product as RainX is to glass?
It really depends how often you clean your car and what you want out of your sealant. No.1 Super Gloss is quick and easy to use and can also be sprayed onto a wet car as a top-up after each wash. Ceramics generally last longer but you might need a dedicated topper to refresh it. It's a personal preference really.
You can do that if you don't want to physically dry the car but the Liquid Gold shampoo is very expensive per use. I prefer a regular shampoo, drying the car and a light application of Super Gloss to boost the shine and protection.
Based on this video, it looks, smells and has the same effect on your car as Demon Shine. I use Demon Shine after washing while my car is still wet as it makes drying with a microfibre cloth so much easier.
It may have some similarities but I feel it has better water repellency than Demon Shine. I sometimes use Demon Shine as a drying aid myself, it's honestly not bad at all.

Have been using it for two years, and it beeds the water off, including the wheels. And for £6 a bottle it’s a no brainier
I had done the same thing pure class act water beading exellent good product for me

+Peter Juhas you got a good deal there! I'm going to apply it to my own car soon and give it a real Scottish countryside winter test.

Many thanks! 👊

Keep an update on how "easy" it is to keep the car clean the next to you wash it please.
Is there any protection against the elements and oxidizing as my car is kept outdoors.

Hi we are selling this in Sri Lanka it's a best one we can keep it for Six month with for minimum 12 Wash.
I used this and it ruined my paint I got loads of little spots and streaks and it atracks dirt and within a day of cleaning its covered in dirt like I drove through a dust storm plz help

Did you ever sort your paint out mine did the same
Well over 6 months has past, so what is your verdict please on it's claim to last 12 months ? Is it still performing as good as it did for the week after you applied it?
Well the short answer is no. The long answer and reason will be in a video I'm hoping to make very soon.

I think the preparation has a lot to do with the longevity of the product. That'll be the topic of the next video.
What would you recommend I use the super gloss or a ceramic spray what would be best.

@@SpeckyMcSporran THANKS. Could I use this shampooTriplewax Liquid Gold Self-Drying Car Shampoo
and then used super gloss spray

Can you recommend any pleases
Garage Therapy /One maintenance shampoo is my favourite.
Hi m8 just watched this video I was shocked to see you drying this 4x4 without taking off the tag on your drying towel 😱
That was an inexperienced person. I've learned a lot since then.
How long did it last????
I made a follow up video
Asda special offer £2.50 per bottle so bought two of them.
That's an amazing price! 🤩
@@SpeckyMcSporran it took me a minute to absorb the shock. Never seen anything like it so maybe it wasn't shifting I that Asda store.
@@fiveminuteman yeah that's possible. Well you did the right thing to take advantage of the price drop! 👍
Lmao £13 in Denmark...
@@danielfl.9347 im still not over the shock.😀

arent they both made by the same company?
Yes they are
this music makes me awake.
Is that good or bad? 🤔
Hey 😯 is it silicone free? Thanks big guy :)
+Emmett Coen I'm not sure, can't find anything that says yes or no. Sorry.
So is this stuff any good I noticed in the comment section it wasn't sounding too good
It's good, it just needs proper preparation before applying. Check out my follow-up video explaining this.
it use whildshiled glass
You can use it on glass but it doesn't last long.
It will last 12 months if you garage the car and don't drive it.
Very cheap at euro car parts / carparts4less with the usual voucher codes
+wollywotsit that's what I've heard.
You used way too little Product. Should have used more sprays on the panels. I
I went with the directions.
With this spray, if you use a lot, it leaves streaks.
I used to have my own body shop I know what I'm doing ....shut up .
Getting on glass is a bitch. Ruins wipers and chaos with air conditioning and dimisting
I can't say I've experienced the same, it's always been great on glass for me
@@SpeckyMcSporran If I could show you a picture confirming what I am on about
I don't doubt you've had some issues, I just haven't experienced them myself.
Waste of money that
