Those small books Fruits of the Spirit you can also purchase at one of the dollar stores. Just thought I would throw that out there in case u want one for each kid. I use a lot of TGTB stuff but I also use a ton of MB too. Their sciences and history for high school are amazing!

I feel so blessed to glean from your knowledge as I am starting this journey with my 3rd grade daughter. My daughter loves to watch your videos of your daughter doing school. It has helped her not miss her friends so much through this crazy time of quarantine life. So thank you for blessing our family. We appreciate your family so much!

I struggle sometimes because I have a 13 year old with high functioning autism. She is elearning this year but I am praying about homeschooling her. My son is 11 and I have homeschooled him for years. I feel like I haven’t had a great routine ever with him. I have struggled with depression and my own adhd and fatigue issues from my thyroid and weight. You have really helped me stay motivated lately so I am so thankful Ashlee. You have been a Godsend to me these past few weeks. My husband just got laid off and I am scared I may have to stop homeschooling but we are so trying not to. I want to be more organized like you! Your so good at all that you do.

Thanks for the update! We too are using the Route 66 this year. I tried making it more independent at first but realized that's not working so now we are doing it all together. My bigs are a little older than yours (15/13/12) so I think that helps. I don't mind the group format so much and so far am able to modify it. Over Christmas we brought in my littles (5/4) to read an advent story (Bartholomew's Journey). After seeing those Answers Books and the Marvelous Creation (which I know we have somewhere) I think I might bring them in for those. It was nice having all 5 kids together even with the 7 year gap.

I’ll be purchasing these for our upcoming school year! Cannot wait to try them out! I also found Route 66 was hard to utilize in our homeschool. I thought it was me not knowing how to do it, since it is my first year 😅. Route 66 is really excellent and so informative, we’ll just have to use it at a later time. So we switched to The Daily Grace Co. ( Daily Truth for Kids & The Character of God) which has worked well this year, but were shorter than I’d like. Thank you for the update. 🙌🏼

I have been doing Route 66 also with my two younger boys and I feel the same way. I stopped looking forward to doing Bible with them for the same reasons you shared. But I have to say I have 3 high school girls and I’m doing Behold Our God (from same company) with them and I love it. It’s very meaty and I think it’s important to be teaching our kids these things and having the discussions. Thank you for your review of Route 66. I thought I was being picky but after hearing you share it confirmed my feelings.

We use Masterbooks for our curriculum for our 6 & 8 year olds. We love them, but it's our first year homeschooling so I don't have much to compare them to. I do not have the Bible curriculum, but will have to look into it. Lately, I've been using the "Adventure Bible", and reading the "Live It" sections to them. It's good, but I'd like something more. The reason I love Masterbooks is because absolutely everything in it, math, language, science; it all relates to the bible. I look forward to hearing updates about how it goes!

I use Master Books for my curriculum meat and it’s been such a blessing for our homeschool. If you haven’t looked into the apologetics section on master books website that might be something you find interesting. I am eager to use that for my kids when they get older. Thanks for sharing. I love your strong disciplined spirit. It encourages me so much.

I am so new to homeschooling! I have really learned a lot from you! I really want to thank you! You amaze and inspire me. I am to the point where I am either going to give up and go back to public schools or I kick this in high gear and go for the long haul. The “honeymoon” stage of homeschooling my children for the first time this year is over and things are a little rough!! 🥴🥴Three of my children have grown and flown the coop.... four left at home and I am Currently teaching my two youngest. However, I am looking at possibly doing my next two oldest next year. With that said.... I think I want to go in For the long haul but I need to change a lot of things and do some things differently to make it more successful. Next year I would have A junior and a freshman on top of my two grade schoolers if I should choose to teach them. I share the same religion as Jenny Phillips and for those who do as well.... we use the “Come Follow Me” manual from our church to teach our children out of each day. Some really good teachings in there! Keep up the amazing work and thank you again!

I wanted to bring the whole book store home from the Ark with me when we went. Lol. Great video. Just wanted to throw out there we use BJU press DLO for Bible the last few years. I just pick an age level in the middle of my kids ages and we all work on together. My older kids benefit just as much as my wee littles. Also solid Bible and kiddos love. Also incorporates hymns, "sword drills" and hero's of the faith in case you wanted something more structured and open and go for you the mom.

Thanks for the Bible update. I was wondering what you were using. I also did a switch after December. We switched to bible devotions by Desiring Gods Children Ministry. I’m not surprised it has been such a blessing. John Piper has been a blessing to my spiritual walk. He pours his heart and soul into his ministry and this children’s ministry is no different. They are so thorough and thought provoking. We are currently working on God’s battle. It teaches children how to fight sin. Thank you for sharing what your using. I will be buying that book on race. Very important with the climate right now.

Just an FYI, the link doesn't go straight to the bundle. I tried looking it up with the categories a bunch of ways and finally just searched "family" and found it.
Also, not sure if you noticed, but there's a "schedule" that shows you what to read on what day to use it 5 days a week for a 36 week year. I never actually follow that stuff exactly either but it sometimes helps to have a framework. Though can download it for free from the page that the item is on.
